The A Love Story standalone series continues with Tap, giving readers the story of Cade and Sistine. Cade’s never had that desire to settle down, no woman has made him want to buy a house and raise babies, he’s happy with tending bar and running Foghorn Brewery with his brothers. That is, until some unexpected feelings for Sistine are stirred up. Sistine has a secret and she knows she’ll be judged for it, so she hides it away even from the man who

In the final installment of the McNaughton brothers, we finally get Cade and Sistine’s story. Every time I start an Tracy Ewen’s book I think I know what to expect and then I read the book and I’m always blown away. The direction of this love story was unique but also so down to earth and normal. It’s a comfortable read about every day people with a bit of a twist to it.

Cade has always been the fun loving, happy go lucky brother and I loved that Tracy Ewens was able to add to his character so mu

When the family jokester, Cade, is blindsided by a post of his mostly naked body that an ex of his posts on Instagram, it sets off a change in him, a change for the better. Suddenly he's noticing his friend, Sistine (stupid name I thought) in ways other than as a friend, and wanting to take her on a date. But, when she rejects his advances it makes him only more persistent.

Although I thought Tap was a cute story, I felt underwater for most of it, probably because I haven't read the other books i

I loved all three of the books on this family of brothers. This Cade's story. Always up for a good time but never to settle, he realizes there may be more to life.

Sistine has been in the previous books as well. She owns a knitting store. Her and Cade a good friends until it seems like Cade wants to be more.

It's a friends to lovers tale that is filled with humor and family love. Both of them need to decide if their hearts are ready for commitment. Great ending to the McNaughton bunch. Loved the

There is nothing more appealing to a woman than a HUNKY BARTENDER; even better is him being a friend. This is the third book by Ewens that deals with brothers running the Foghorn Brewery and finding their soul mates! I could tell you this is a stand alone but having read them all I can recommend starting from the beginning. Cade McNaughton is the last brother standing after his siblings have found their better halves and are filling their nests with little ones. With all the glasses behind the b ...more

I was a great fan of Tracy Ewens' books and went through a spate of reading them and requesting ARCs on NetGalley so when this book was on offer at 80p I jumped to add another to my collection, even better one of my reviews of a previous book said I was keen to read Cade's book.

Cade McNaughton and his brothers own Foghorn Brewery and he runs the bar. Recently his brothers have all found love and he is increasingly feeling like the odd man out, viewed as the good-time boy by
I really liked the way this story flowed, although for some it might be slow paced, for me it was just perfect. We have two individuals who are both in their thirties, they have their own business and both are at a crossroads in their lives. For Cade, simply put he wants to be seen beyond his physical attributes and he's reputation as a charmer, desired for his bedroom prowess and not so much for his intellect. Sistine, I adore, she has her own style and her own rhythm but she's also a business ...more

Tap was an excellent read. It was my first book by Tracy Ewens and I throughly enjoyed her writing style. The character developments were great, I loved the whole story to be honest. It was such a fun light hearted and happy read! I really enjoyed getting to know all the characters from both sides of the family, I was glad to see there were prequels to this book!

What an exceptional love story. Cade and Sistine were both so well developed. The landscape, the people and the plot line felt so real. I fell in love right along side Cade and Sistine and I was crying, laughing and feeling ever moment of their story. I found it extremely insightful ever time that the story dug into Cade and what made him Cade. I think it is so true in our society that people forget that what the outside looks like does not define the inside. This is a first read of this author ...more

What a fun story. This is the first book of Tracy Ewens that I've read and I loved it. Now I'm going to have to go find the rest of her books. I see that there are several about these families. Cade was part owner and bartender of the Foghorn brewery. He was the last bachelor of his family and liked it that way until his friendship with Sistine subtlely changed. She owned a knitting store and he thought she would be a nice change of woman from what he had been dating. The last one he dated poste ...more

I had not read any of the other books in the series and was not lost. This book could easily be read as a standalone, but once you do read it, you will (like me) want to go back and read the others.

This is a romance/love story about a man that is struggling to mature and is in emotional turmoil with a woman that is so different from him in every way. The author has a way of writing characters that are multifaceted and complex. They show vulnerability, strength, dedication, support, forgiveness,

The characters are simply amazing & the storyline keeps you wrapped up in the romance, humor & mystery of what she’s hiding. I really loved this book! They’ve been friends for a while and start noticing sparks flying, but while Cade is ready to take their relationship to the next level, something’s holding her back. She has a secret that burns her so badly that she’s gotten to where she trusts no one. I’m voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

I cannot say enough good things about this book! I have read all the books in this series and while I loved them all, I think Tap is my favorite.

Tracy Ewens has given us a wonderful character in Sistine. She's sweet, quirky and just such a good soul that I wanted to bring her home to be my friend. I think I have a girl crush on Sistine!

Cade, oh gosh, what is there to say about the last single brother of this clan? What a great guy. The first date he planned! Be still my heart!!

This was the right mix of sexy and sweet. I loved Cade, and I enjoyed this book until the end. Even if you have not read the series, you will get inside the layers of the characters, and their stories. if you are looking for a romance that is not the norm and relatable fiction, this is one author whose titles you should look out for

I received a copy from Hidden Gems; this is my honest review.
-I didn't read the other two books (Brew & Smooth) but I didn't get lost or thought I was missing any important information.
-Funny and refreshing from the start with some infuriating and sad moments.
-I loved how Sistine saw the whole world based on yarn colors.
-I loved how Cade was all into his job and took his dates with Sistine seriously, making them special.
-Cute ending.

You'll love the story of Sistine and Cade. We met them in some of the other books in the series. Cade is the last single McNaughton brother and is rethinking his bachelor life. There's something sweet and wholesome about this style of writing. Ewens makes her characters your friends, their family important to you and their relationships meaningful. It's like being a fly on the wall of Sistine's knit shop or on the bar of Cade's Taproom. I'm deeply invested in the McNaughton guys and am very proud of Cade. He's not just the hot bod at the bar but a truly loving individual. Sistine is not just a knitter but a prideful businesswoman. These characters are special and I can ...more

Sistine has a past, but she's moved on and is doing what she really wants. She owns a knitting shop. All is well until she needs money for the shop and contacts her college friend, Mel. At that point the lying to Cade begins.

Cade is the last of the McNaughton brother's to marry. He's feeling like he's missing out of things because he hasn't found someone. Although, his big issue is he's a player...and those are the types of women he attracts. Now he's realizing he wants more. I lik

Having read eight out of the ten books in this series, I can attest each one is a stand-alone that is connected by cameo reoccurring sub-characters, who one by one get their own HEA. You don’t have to read them in order, folks, but you’ll obviously have better background knowledge on the long list of book characters if you do.

Tracy Ewens continues to give us couples whose chemistry and attraction feels sweet, genuine, and spicy at times, but knucklehead moments always seem to get in the way.

The angst of a new relationship. This is a quick read. The storyline is one of boy meets girl , they get to know each other, a secret exposed breaks them up, and their love reunites them. Friendships are tested and survive. This is an easy book to read. It has a smooth pace. It took only a few hours to read. Reading it was a peasant diversion.

Tap: A Love Story by Tracy Ewens is a stand alone romance by Ewens. The books do build on each other and make for a more satisfying read when read together, but they stand beautifully together or alone. Genre: Romance

Well, I didn't realise this was a series of connected reads, and though it is a stand alone romance, I think I'd have got more from it if I'd read the others, knew the back story. The Melissa thing especially, I don't know if that's covered in earlier books, but I was so puzzled, what was it that Sistine ( and all I can think of is Sistine Chapel each time I read her name...) was doing for Melissa for all that do

Beauty can be a trap

Cade has a bad boy reputation, but he’s ready for more. For the real thing. He’s tired of always being judged on his good looks alone. Shallow is not what he wants anymore; he wants someone he can really talk with. And he finds that in Sistine, but… nothing is ever easy.

Sistine’s different and a bit quirky. Sweet and innocent but there’s more to her than meets the eye. I liked her. But she does something stupid; desperate times call for desperate measures, but she forgets sh

A beautiful story of knitting and beer... and angst.

Let's take it from the start. The beginning felt a little bit slow. It kinda dragged on but it wasn't the worst. It got better like halfway in the book and a lot of loose ends will come tide at the end of the book as well.

It was full of comedy and sweet pinning even, what makes it a light read. Except that there are some darker sides and secrets. I should mention that there are sexual scenes, they are pretty light and not detailed but still.

I really liked how this book focused on calling out  stereotypes.  The hot bartender-all brawn and no brains, the knitting store owner-quirky and reserved.  It pointed out obvious misconceptions and then built these amazing characters that broke the mold.  That saw that they were being pigeon holed and called out those around them for doing it.  It made for a very refreshing and intellectual storyline.

It took me a bit to get into this story but, then it really picked up and

There was a lot of hype around the start of this series and I meant to check it out, just never had the time. So when Tap came around on NetGalley, I finally dove in. Maybe I made a mistake on starting with this one because it was rambly, nonsensical and felt forced. I am sure the meandering was meant to match our quirky heroine Sistine, but I was lost for most of the book and found it to be poor writing. Quite possibly the other books aren't as questioningly paced and better plotted, but this j ...more

Finally Cade’s story, and what a joy it was. In the previous stories in this series he came off as untouchable (that was my take), a jokester who relished women’s attention, but here we see the real Cade. Paired with Sistine they were so much fun...her quirkiness and distinctive style was a compliment to Cade, with so many heartfelt and touching moments. I won’t go into them as readers need to discover this for themselves...half the joy of the story was the build up of their relationship.
