About the author

For as long as I can remember I have never been short of ideas. Combining that with a crazy imagination, I think the only logical step was to turn it to writing. It has allowed me to express my creative side without the restrictions of some other medias. With the love and support from my wonderful family and friends, I was finally able to take my first tentative steps into the literary world. A world I have thoroughly enjoyed so far and hope to carry on enjoying for many years to come.

She pulled on his arm and it came right off with a loud pop. His arm was ripped clean off his shoulder.

Wow, this book was a surprise! Inheritance: The Sins of a Father was a suspenseful horror/thriller with immense gore and a level of humour reminisce of Hot Fuzz. No zombies here, but there’s certainly something that’s, well, tearing people from limb-to-limb, literally. And it jumps straight into the action, no messing around here!

This is fairly short in length, so I won’t go into more detail on the plot except to say that this is a book where the characters really might not make it out alive. Lots of gory twists and turns. The story is based in England which was great (there’s a whole pub scene that’s very British!) and a real mix of characters. And what a cliffhanger!

There’s a hilarious anecdote about a fictional slippery character called The Silky Dodger that made me laugh out loud. For those who like to read books in that intersection between horror and humour; this is a hidden gem of a book that I think you’ll enjoy immensely.

Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy of the book to review!
