My takeaway from this book is a deep appreciation of the Irish people and their history, which the author traces back with documentation over a thousand years, and in oral history over a thousand years before that. The ancestry of the Irish Royals traces back to Golamh (Mile Easpain), who led the progenitors of the Gaels in Ireland before 1000 B.C. (p.249).
