I'm surrounded by dragons, and they're all afraid of me.

At the age of nine, I mistakenly touched someone else, giving him excruciating pain. Through that awful experience, I found out that a graze of my fingertips could torment any being with dragon blood. Because I was surrounded by them in my kingdom, my ability labelled me as cursed. And with that, my family lost ever

Bane of Dragons was quite uneven. Sometimes it was great, sometimes not so much.

1. I loved all the drama. Some might find that annoying but I thought it was well done and with lots of feels.
2. Sera was an interesting character but sometimes could get really whiny and weak. But she had great moments.
3. It was hard to follow the characters because they tended to change their mind rather abruptly, sometimes making menthink scenes were missing.
4. Secondary characters were either

I think the extraordinarily good weather in this country has unbalanced my mind

At 55% I was so taken with the lighthearted feel good romance I likened it to Trickery

Then of course it all went downhill.

Willa knight it is not but I still really enjoyed this. The MC wasn't annoying (until the end at least) and the dragons were fun and there was a good bit of thought put into the world building.

Yes it had all the RH tropes you could think of

I really enjoyed this one! It's a great start to a new RH Fantasy series and I have high hopes for the sequels! The world building was awesome and I loved all the different kinds of dragons! And of course I loved Sera and her princes not going to lie I know we aren't supposed to pick favorites but I really love Micah! I can’t wait for book 2 and I sure hope we get some steam in the next one!

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Book one in the brand new Sera's Curse series and what an interesting start it is too. We get to meet Sera who does have a power that is seen as a curse. She is shunned in her hometown so when she gets a chance to better herself she jumps at the opportunity. This leads her to the four dragons princes where fireworks fly when her curse does not work on them. Whispers have already started when her secret i

A very human Sera (unlike her sister who’s a drerkyn), waits for the results to possibly leave behind a life she isn’t happy about and to enter the Council of Intelligence. Cera isn’t as entirely human as she thinks, with constantly having to ensure that she doesn’t accidentally touch someone because of her cursed skin.
Lucky for her she’s chosen and she’ll begin a new life on the palace grounds, which will bring her closer to the Princes Rylan, Gaius, Kael and Micah and possible the end of her

Pleasantly surprised by this book. I love the boys their characters compliment each other each different. FMC though I like her backbone I feel like we are missing how important she is. The fact that they still haven’t even started finding out what her curse means or why she has this connection is slightly irritating but at the same time understandable with what’s going on. I feel like she is something major and it’s frustrating that finding this out has fallen in the list of priorities. The opp ...more

A super fascinating world. The characters are awesome too! The main character, Sera, is such a smart, strong, independent, and kind character. Despite all the hardship life has thrown at her, she stays strong and positive. Can't wait to see what is to come.

Gave 'Bane of Dragons' three stars as overall, some moments were unfortunately of a disappointing two star quality in this book while other moments were funny and entertaining four star quality.

The problem with this book is that it is inconsistent. To be specific, the relationship between Sara and the four hidrae princes. It really annoyed me that the four guys gave up their relationship with Sara so easily all of a sudden in the last 15% of the book and it just made the relationship between the

It was good, but again, as with the last similarly themed book I read the later part of the book wasn't as good as the former.

The overarching storyline was a little predictable for me but my main issue was Sera's reaction to the guys (view spoiler), cause I'd have spittin' feathers!

The world building was however nicely done and although there were some grammatical errors and some of the secondary characters could have

GLORIOUS MOTHERFLIPPIN' DRAGON REVERSE HAREM! I watch quite a bit of anime and have grown to enjoy the Harem / Reverse Harem genres for the most part (it can be reeeaallly bad), so I went into this read with different expectations; it's a kinky niche after all, and as such should be treated along a slightly different set of rules.

*** Side Note: Beware of spoilers.

I had never read a RH book and the premise was enticing, and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the story and worldbuildin

Dragons OH MY!

I have only read a few dragon based stories over the years. Don’t know why when I love books like this one. Fantasy is one of my favourite genres and Hartley offering was intriguing. I loved the whole world that was built in front of my eyes that was addicting and heartbreaking at the same time. Our heroine is a got getter with a secret.
Sera have been cursed and her life has been control by this situation. I
This book was interesting and unique. It had captured my attention immediately and held it throughout.

Sera is cursed for reasons unknown by causing extreme pain to any dragonkind that happens to touch her bare skin. She’s been ostracized since she was 9 years old, causing her own family to be less than loving to her because of the curse and them being unwelcome as well. Sera, fortunately, is a very smart girl and gifted with brains enough to win her a place in the kingdom as a scholar. Unfortun

Sera is cursed and her family is "outcast" because of this. So Sera tries her hardest to prove that she's something not just a curse. She manages to escape her town and reputation because she's very intelligent. Then three years later, a dragon touches her, and nothing happens. Things go downhill/uphill from there.

This was my first book from this author. It was good. There were mistakes here and there that were blatantly wrong but it didn't distract me away from the story which is good! Update:

Lovely story.

Supernatural. YA. Rh. 4 Dragon Princess. Soul bond. Intellectual, tenacious, human heroine. Nineteen yr old, Sera has been cursed for ten years. No one of dragon blood can touch her, it will cause them excruciating pain or even drive them mad. With this her and her family is shunned. Her family treats her the same. Sera has a plan, a plan to show everyone she is not the curse. She will get on the Counsil of Intelligence and help with the agricultural problems in their region. Every

I really liked this first book of Sera's Curse, The ARC I read had a few grammatical mistakes which i'm sure have been corrected for the release but they didn't take away from the story at all, the plot was interesting and kept you entertained wanting to know how it will all turn out. The MC was smart and knew what she wanted in life even the neglect she suffered growing up didn't deter her, she wasn't a cardboard character she knew she had faults and tried to learn from them, hopefully we see h ...more

I really liked Bane of Dragons. It was unique and captivating. The characters were contradictory and confusing at times and one even made a complete 180. Because of this it almost gives the characters the depth they need for you to connect with them. The guys are very lovable even if a couple of them can be frustrating at the same time. All of the characters in Bane of Dragons definitely make you feel, even if for some of them those emotions are 90 percent irritation at their actions. The story ...more

I really enjoyed this book! It was a fun read and I was entertained throughout the whole book!

Sera, despite being cursed and having a tough life growing up because of it, is a strong character. She is smart, dependable, observant and good natured.

Even though she is confronted with the four princes intruding in her life and interfering with her plans, she doesn’t back down and stands up for what she wants.

The four princes have their own unique character traits and fit well with her. They compleme

This is an exciting new RH series by Clara Hartley that has set the scene for upcoming books in this series! Sera is an interesting MC and I can’t wait to see her become more confident in herself in upcoming books, but in this book she was a little uncertain of herself. All the dragon princes are intriguing and all very different. They fight how they feel for Sera but I love when they start being softer towards her and are very sweet at times! A very interesting story, for sure. I loved the plot, the storyline was intriguing and captivating. The entire story has such great promise, the writing was very well done and I just loved the idea of this world.
I had a hard time connecting to the MC, however. The way she responded to certain things threw me off a little. I connected more with the guys, although on occasion I had the same issue with the way they responded to things. I thought the character development was good, though. I found m

Absolutely AHHHHMazing!! Fell in love with the Sera and her four loves. Funny, sad, intriguing and mysterious. You will find it all. The slow burn between the main characters is awesome and definitely leaves me anticipating the next in the series. The scene that is painted throughout the story never leaves you wondering where the characters are or what the scenes would look like. Fabulous read. Just finished and already wanting to know what comes next. The slow burn is about to flare to life.

Bane of Dragon (Book One of the Sera’s Curse) is a a great read. Sera is a young human girl who has been cursed since the age of nine. Any person she touches that has dragon abilities experiences extreme pain. She hasn’t had any skin to skin contact since that day. That is until she meets the four Princes of Constanria and her world changes.

What awaits you in this book is the journey of Sera and the four Princes as they discovery the feelings that have for each other. There is also intrigue abo

This book really sucked me into the mindset of Sera. The outcast who wants to prove to herself and everyone around her she's more than they see her as. Meeting the princes does more for her than just being able to have physical contact. The five of them build each other up and improve each other. There's fighting(hello, four brothers in royalty positions), romance, comfort, security, betrayal, anger. You basically get the whole spectrum of emotion in this book. This book kept me going to the end ...more

Fantastic new series

This is the first in a new series and is fantastic. Sera is cursed that any dragon that touches her has immense pain. It has made her life horrible. She studies and gets to go away to school. She there excels and meets 4 dragons that are not affected by her touch.

This book has it all. I laughed and cried. It is wonderful. I really enjoyed the world that has been built.

Sera and her guys are great. She is strong and speaks her mind no matter the consequences.

This slow burn romance will have you rooting for the princes and hating them the next minute. Sera is one amazing person. She has put up with so much meanness from family and people she thought she could trust. When she meets the four princes she may be the best thing that ever happened to them. Love how the story really gets to know the characters. Even her best friend is great with his stupid vegetable jokes.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.

Sera and the Princes relationship felt rushed. It wasn't instant love but it didn't feel natural. It was too superficial.

(view spoiler)

The story felt like a cookie cutter version of Curse of the Gods series but not as great.

The plot was good and kept me interested in the story till the end.
