A brand new contemporary romance from New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author Katy Evans.

It started as a game.
We flirted. We played. Most importantly—we won.
Then I discovered who he was: Gambler. Famous playboy. Silver-eyed player who never plays to lose.
…And my best friend’s soon-to-be brother in law, Cullen Carmichael.
He needed a good luck charm, I needed a distraction.
So we made a gamble and set off for Vegas—but pretty soon—I was in too deep.
My heart, soul, and body weren't supposed to be part of the deal.
But somewhere between big wins and long nights, my house of cards started to tumble.
What was this devil with those piercing eyes doing to me?
I’d given up on love, but the wicked, all-in Cullen Carmichael was upping the ante and wouldn’t stop until he’d won it all.

*This book contains characters from the Manwhore series but can be read as a complete standalone.

➳When bringing the poker face to the table, Cullen knows how to keep it calm, but also bring the fire within Wynn and win big time...

➳Everyone who knows me, know that my love and admiration towards Katy Evans is real and powerful. There is no exception when she writes about new characters from a continued series that I will hop right into it. With Manwhore series, getting to meet all these dark, mysterious, and dangerous characters is so thrilling to me that the word crave does no justice as to how much I want every single one of them. Cullen and Wynn were noticed in the previous novels, and I am honestly beyond glad that they both got their romance novel. A couple that are inseparable in every way, bringing the vibes of possessiveness to the mix.

➳Katy has outdone herself in this compelling romance, making me have such a hangover over the fact that my love for Cullen is now immense. Wynn has such a unique persona that when reading more of her insightful point of view, you really immerse yourself to her world. As someone who has a broken past with her ex-boyfriend, Emmett, Wynn tries to present herself in a positive ambiance by putting herself out there. When one date leads her to a game of poker, Wynn encounters herself with the mysterious silver-eyed Cullen. The chemistry is instant, and one knows not to mess with the power the oozes from Cullen;
"I'm in deep and drowning. Cullen is a different kind of danger, a precipice of uncertainty that promises to leave me awakened and alive."

➳When encountering upon a bet, Cullen and Wynn begin to play the game of seduction, bringing the best poker face they both have. When temptation is brought to the mix, there is no turning back to admitting of wanting each other. For Cullen however, bringing happiness to Wynn is the only thing he can ask for. Finding that happiness becomes so easy for Wynn when being around Cullen, making them both fall hard for each other in a way that is unexpected for both. Thankfully wooing Wynn is the only thing on Cullen's mind, making her want him more and more is just the up side of the relationship they have.

➳Overall, the seductive side that is Cullen Carmichael has brought me to my knees of feeling weak and drooling over such a powerful male character. And if Katy ever stops making characters such as Cullen, my world will be destroyed completely. Not many authors can achieve the fact of making me love their characters through the point of view of one individual, but Katy will never stop amazing me!

I’m not gonna lie, I fell in love with a playboy. But this playboy, to me, was a “play” man. He was all man. Hot, sexy, fricken lovable man!!!

It starts with a bet, he wins. Cullen wins the girl, the other guys date. But the betting doesn’t stop there, it’s just beginning. And the stakes are getting pretty high.

“Part of being a good gambler is knowing when to walk away. That’s the principle of everything in life. Everything has a price. The price of winning is betting — sometimes more than what you’re comfortable with. You win some, you lose some.”

This story is predictable but it’s fun, it’s entertaining, and it’s sexy
hot🔥 the drama is low, not a lot of “wowing” to me, however that’s not really a bad thing at all. The ending is super sweet, I’m hoping we see more to Cullen & Wynn. Their love is instant and it’s that forever love

He looks like sex dipped in candy and chocolate, sweet as sin and rich and naughty.

PLAYBOY is one decadently steamy read! Katy Evans has yet again created another charismatic Alpha Male Hero, who is sure to get her reader’s pulses racing! This fifth installment of the ”Manwhore” series was pure unadulterated fun! While Malcolm Saint is, by far, the most swoon-worthy of all the Heroes in this series, I can’t deny that Cullen Carmichael comes in a close second. He’s the epitome of the tall, dark and handsome alpha with a bad boy image that made him even more appealing. While I usually tend to love Katy’s Heroes, I always seem to have a tough time liking her Heroines and that was the case with Wynn as well. At times, she seemed to create unnecessary drama which made it hard for me to really like her character.

Wynn and Cullen run into each other at an illegal underground high stakes poker game. She’s there on a date with a man who loses her to Cullen when he’s dealt a bad hand. At first, she doesn’t realize who Cullen is but before the night is over she recognizes him as her best friend Livvy’s brother-in-law. Cullen ends up winning the game and claims that Wynn was his good luck charm. When the two run into each other a few days later, the flirting begins and soon they make a naughty wager that has Wynn flying to Vegas with Cullen to be his companion at a poker championship game.

Cullen has been captivated by Wynn from the moment he saw her, and she has no clue. He’s pulling out all the stops to woo her while they’re together in Vegas, and what starts off as a no strings attached arrangement is quickly turning into something more. The passion that ignites between this couple is off the charts smoking hot! I mean like a FIVE ALARM FIRE.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Once the sexy times start, it’s on! Cullen is one insatiable and truly giving lover.

The two have quite a few obstacles in their way. Wynn is afraid of jumping into a serious relationship. She’s still damaged by her breakup with Emmett, which nearly crushed her and knows that if Cullen breaks her heart, it will destroy her because what she feels for Cullen far surpasses anything she’s ever felt for the previous men in her life. Cullen and Wynn also each have secrets that they fear will put an end to their romance.

I loved the first 95% of this book and had to deduct half a star for the super long epilogue that got too sugary sweet. There was an added surprise that I thought was completely unnecessary, but other than that this was one incredibly fun summer read!

Here are my overall ratings

It was never my dream to become a horny marionette in the 'skilled' hands of a playboy, so I'd rather keep my opinion about the story to myself....

only this...

apparently, I repeat apparently, infertility protects a woman from getting any Sexually Transmitted Disease, because why else would an adult and apparently, I repeat apparently, mature woman have unprotected sex with a well-known manwhore?!....

Really liked it!

This book was so good! I really liked the whole poker and Vegas scene. It made everything sexier. I loved Cullen and Wynn together. They are attracted to each other from the moment they meet and act on that attraction, and boy was it hot!

One thing I really loved about this book was that there’s no unnecessary drama. Everything flowed and even though there was some hesitation on Wynn’s part, it was totally understandable and nothing that really bothered me. I truly believe her and Cullen are soul mates and I am so happy they found each other.

Overall this is another great book by Katy Evans and one I highly recommend you all reading.

Wynn Watson is a beautiful woman living in Chicago. She loves art, and has a gallery called the Fifth Street Gallery. She has fabulous friends, and was now the only one single in their group. She thought she'd be married with kids, but after her four year relationship ended she's left questioning her choices when it comes to men. She's a bit lonely and in need of a distraction when she encounters a hot gambler named Cullen Carmichael. He's a professional poker player, and the current worldwide champion. He's mysterious, and has a compelling, magnetic physical presence that people gravitate toward. He's known as a ladies man, and goes by the name Playboy. He was easy on the eyes and intrigued her with his broody, multifaceted personality. He looks familiar, and she later figures out he's her best friends soon to be brother in law.

Cullen gambles for a living and is very successful, but recently he's been in a slump, and his luck turns around when Wynn is by his side one evening. Convinced she's his lucky charm he invites her to travel with him to Las Vegas for some business. Wanting to get out of her rut, and out of town she accepts. She wants to have new experiences and some fun. They decide to spice things up a little be making a bet. They have a deal that each plans to win. As Cullen & Wynn spend the week together in Vegas, it's an exciting time of big wins and long nights full of temptation. The attraction is mutual and becoming unbearable torture. Soon Wynn realizes she was kidding herself when she thought she could actually resist Cullen.

-His looks hold me a little bit captive and his gaze makes me a little breathless.

-He's larger than life wherever he is, wherever we go. He enters a room and makes it his own. And I know from the depths of my soul he takes a woman the same way.

-There's something about Cullen that unsettles me. Me and my heartbeat.

-My fingers ache to touch him.

-All I want is this man. This man and his body all over mine. This man and his silver eyes watching only me.

Wynn thought her heart was safe since Cullen's not the type to fall in love, and she has no plans of falling again anytime soon, but it hits her out of nowhere. Suddenly it's like nothing exists but this man, and their time together. He's addictive, possessive and all consuming. She's done thinking about the past, and is enjoying living in the moment. He shows her everything she's been missing, and gives her the most intense passion she's ever had. He's sexy, complex, and a little dangerous. He makes her feel confident, free, and cherished when they're together.

Things between them may have started out as a game, but they've turned very real. They weren't looking for anything serious. Just no strings flirting and a good time. Now their so connected, and things could end in heartbreak. Cullen is done denying himself, and used to getting what he wants, and he wants Wynn. He craves her company, and deep feelings have developed. Could Cullen be "the one" for Wynn? Things between them are effortless but will she take a chance on him and be brave enough to love again? Could she finally be lucky in love?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

-Am I playing the player or has he just played me?

-He's exactly what I need but not at all what I expected.

-The way he looks at me, that's something I won't ever forget.

-I feel claimed, owned, and so very much his.

-"You're Everything I Ever Wanted."

This book was fantastic!!! From the start Cullen Carmichael is wickedly delicious, but then the more I read the more he stole my heart. Swoon, swoon and swoon some more. This man has so many beautiful layers to him that you uncover as you get into the story. We also get appearances from our other favorite couples Rachel & Saint, Gina & Tahoe, and Livvy & Callan. I really adore this whole series and loved everything about this book! I was left seriously crushing on Cullen! <333

4.5 Winning Stars!

“People don't really know how addictive love is until they fall. Once you're in, you crave the feeling like a drug and you feel lost without it.”

There's no book in the Manwhore series that I didn't like. Every book that Katy Evans writes is always a special treat, like this book. It's deliciously intoxicating like no other!

Playboy follows the characters Cullen Carmichael and Wynn Watson. We have met them in the previous books as secondary characters and this time, it's all about their story. Cullen, Callan Carmichael's brother and a filthy rich poker player, has been secretly interested with Wayne ever since he saw her. So when their paths crossed once again in an underground casino where Wynn accompanied her date during that night, he challenged her through a bet and invited her to go to Las Vegas with him where she can see him in full action in high stakes poker games. Wayne agreed, but little did she know that she was not only betting her job but also her heart when she started to fall for Cullen.

“I won our bet but I also won something more. I won the man, a man who chose me.”

One thing's for sure. This book gave me a lot of FEELS! Especially those intense, hot scenes.

I can't deny how perfect Wynn and Cullen are for each other. Their chemistry was oozing and very palpable. Sexy scenes aside, Cullen was absolutely a great character. You won't actually expect him to be just the usual rich alpha man but when you get to know him in the later chapters, you will realize how deeply sincere he is with everything in life, especially when it comes to his family. Aside from that, he was very patient with Wynn.

“You're avoiding telling me about you. That's all right, Red. I'm patient. That's what makes me a good gambler.”

Wynn was also a likeable character. I liked her inner monologues especially when she was secretly gushing over Cullen but was trying to control herself because she's afraid she's going to get hurt in the end.

There were unexpected dramas in this book but they were just minor and nothing really heavy. I loved that there's no other woman involved in their story and that Callan was not afraid to show to Wynn how crazy he is for her. And oh, did I tell you how extra generous he was with Wynn, showering her with all the luxurious things she can ever have? He is basically Christian Grey 2.0. Haha!

I absolutely recommend this book and the whole series itself. It's easy to fall head over heels in love with these characters!

“We can handle hard. You and me. Just don't ever quit me."

"Me? I would never fold when I've got a winning hand.”

Playboy was a wonderful surprise. I enjoyed Wynn and Cullen. Their chemistry and connection was on point. Especially the flirting between them was exceptional. Being in their presence felt like watching a sensual dance. Cullen was so smooth, secretive and that’s exactly what I liked about him whereas Wynn held on to her opinions about her wants and needs in life. They crashed together and unleashed beautiful and sensual passion. The other characters from the other Manwhore books make appearances too. The gang was back together and gave me what I needed at the moment. An easy to read romance.

Playboy is the fifth novel of Manwhore series about Cullen Carmichael, a professional poker player and Callan Carmichael's older brother and Wynn Watson, whom you're familiar with in the previous books as one of Rachel Livingston's best friend.

As excited as I am for Cullen, I never thought Wynn is his love interest because last time, she and her chef boyfriend Emmett patched things up. It seems they had another fallout and this time it's really over. Admittedly, I'm a bit saddened because I thought Emmett is a great guy but he's not ready to take their relationship to next level whereas Wynn is ready to settle down. On the positive note, Wynn realizes her relationship with her ex-boyfriend was shallow. She deserves a lifetime partner who'll cherish and love her.

Wynn was on a disastrous date when she met Cullen at an underground casino in Chicago. It all started with a bet and trying their best to fight their temptations. At first, I'm apprehensive with these two as a couple. I have doubts on Cullen given his reputation as a "Playboy". Throughout the book, I'm praying Cullen won't screw it up because Wynn was vulnerable and brokenhearted from her past. The attraction between them was extremely palpable and seductive. Holy sweetness, they have a fantastic chemistry and I'm slowly rooting for them.

Of all the ladies in the Manwhore series, I have fondness on Wynn. She's compassionate, beautiful and caring. She's a gentle soul and I never thought she'll have more meaningful relationship than she had with Emmett. Cullen has similarities with the other guys. He got Saint's dominance, Tahoe's protectiveness and Callan's irresistible charm. What makes him standout? He's unpredictable. He'd proven to everyone that Wynn was the love of his life. That says a lot and truly earned respect by many.

Overall, Playboy is a sizzling hot installment. Timely it's rainy season here in the Philippines, it's the perfect book to get cozy with a hot drink. Wynn and Callan's journey was about taking risk and believing in love. It was a dreamlike epilogue for these two. To end my review, here's my favorite quote:

"I've fallen for my own playboy and while he sweeps me off my feet and makes me feel all these things that I never thought I'd feel, I'm all in and loving the idea of him. I love the idea of us."

I'm not really sure what to say about this book.
The cover is beautiful. Our hero Cullen is hot and mysterious and lonely and sweet and interesting. Wynn is ok. I didn't really love-love her. She was a bit weird.
It was good seeing all the others again. The Vegas moments were great. Money, Poker, Shopping. It could've been an amazing story. But it wasn't ... for me at least.
The beginning already confused me SO much. I just didn't understand the storyline at all.
I liked the very beginning - her date dragging her to that game - all fan-boy-ish. And then Katy lost me. I guess I understand that Wynn was won by Cullen and I could also understand that she stayed instead of running away because he's a hot and mysterious guy. But then I lost all sense of the story. The bet/dare? They know each other but didn't realize it? It all didn't make any sense to me. I just didn't get it. Which is a little bit the fault of the writing. I felt like there were sentences that didn't have meaning. Nobody asked a question or said something and then there was just a sentence that didn't make sense. It was so very weird - I can't really explain it. There were many weird things in here. Too many repetitions. Like talking about his amazing eyes and how she can't love a gambler. Like the poker game - we're playing Texas Hold'em. And he explains to her how and why she has to give back cards and ask for new ones??? What??? You only get two cards in that game!
And anyway. I felt that another - GOOD - editor should've gone through this book again to take out all the weird sentences that didn't make sense and maybe use a few of the adorable feelings that were too much at the end and put them in somewhere else throughout the book.
Don't get me wrong - I love Katy Evans and her books, and I liked this book in a way. Mostly because of the cover, the hero and the characters from previous books, the Vegas excitement. And the adorableness towards the end. It was fun and sexy and Vegasy. BUT it just wasn't my story. There was just too much that didn't work for me. I hope Katy's next one will be better!

4.5 Knowing When to Go All In Stars
* * * * 1/2 Spoiler Free
I truly have to hand it to Katy Evans; she certainly understands foreplay. She gets it is the ramp up... the anticipation and it is the wooing that makes all of the other stuff happen and make our hearts sing. She knows how important the way lovers touch you...the physical touching but also the way they touch you mentally.

In Playboy, the fifth entry to the Manwhore series, we are give two people who have these abilities... they feel evenly matched and when the games begin...We are given a seat at the table to all of it.

Wynn Watson has believed in the Happily Ever After since she was a little kid.
She was one of the lucky ones; her parents were That Couple. You know the ones... the parents who were the nicest and would let you stay for impromptu sleep overs. They showed their daughter true love could continue through child-rearing, working a small business, empty nesting and everything else that followed. She knew early on, she wanted the same type of life and relationship her parents had.

Unfortunately, for some reason, all of her experiences turned out to be duds... and her latest relationship of four years has just ended. Wynn worked hard on this last one... did everything her ex chef seemed to want... but he never could fully commit. They finally broke up and it seems Wynn is the one who bears the lasting scars.

But Wynn is a strong capable woman. She loves life and art. She has made it her career and owns an art gallery in Chicago. She has made a serious name for herself and with this break-up, she has re-dedicated her focus to just care about business, swear off men- not sex- and let all the HEA stuff go.

She is lucky in having her girl circle support and shares her resolve. They have all been worried for Wynn and have encouraged her to finally get out of the house and have a date.

We actually meet Wynn during this date. She is about to enter a warehouse which is the location for an underground poker game. The guy she is with is turning into someone she is sorry she said yes to... but the alternative was sitting alone in her apartment feeling sorry and heartbroken. So here she is walking into this place, with this guy who is rambling on and on about some big poker dude who might be there...

Wynn enters the warehouse and immediately she sees this vision, a man with piercing gray eyes ...something so intense, looking at her...it is a feeling she has never had before. The joke is this date thinks this man, the huge gambler is looking at him. The game starts, the date is a lousy player and ends up losing everything...And then things get interesting because the date bets Wynn!

Oh, she just is to stay and it turns out she is the gambler's good luck...but a little more seems to have been exchanged...Interest and attraction.

Now it is one of Wynn's crew's wedding. It turns out Cullen Carmichael is her best friend’s soon-to-be brother in law...he is the notorious Gambler, Famous Playboy, Silver-eyed Player who she became his Good Luck....and that is not all she became...

Cullen has been on his own for awhile. His parents divorced, he took care of his mom and through a series of life changing events...he became this talented gambler who has loved the thrill of winning.
Yet at some moment, there was something more he wanted and when the opportunity finally presented itself to him, he was all in...

The take off point for this final encounter between Wynn and Cullen is this wedding... there is banter, charged interest, attraction through the roof for both of them and then the laying a bet down about their careers and which is more meaningful. It is the thrill and throwing caution to the wind for Wynn which causes her to say what she would be willing to bet...and no matter who wins..either way...it will be a Win Win for both of them.

Cullen whisks Wynn off to Vegas so she can experience his life and then he is to see how hers is after. It is this whole time in Vegas which is the most entrancing...Cullen is a master...

I mentioned in my review of Manwhore, "While I was reading it, it brought to mind the phrase I have always said...Kissing is an art form. Saint was an artist."

Well, Cullen, your ability to just make me weak while READING about the ways you are kissing Wynn makes you right up there. I also loved who you were and what you had went through...and your insight and understanding about Wynn.

Wynn, you were one savvy, cool and smart woman. I appreciated all of your feelings about this crazy attraction to Wynn and concerns, too...Me, I would have made the leap sooner...But then again, Cullen had me at his kissing.

So as I said before, Katy Evan is a foreplay artist... oh, she knows how to weave a tale and have us swooning during her sexy times, no doubt...but in this story...the ramping up made it all the sweeter.

Either I am not in the mood or too tired, but the beginning made no sense at all...like : she is on a date and apparently’ her date brings her to a secret poker game, where he ends up bidding her to keep playing...then somehow she meets the H, who’s the one who « won » her at poker. She decides to stay because the H is hot, then start a relationship...
Then turns out they have the same best friends, but never saw one another before... and that is where i got horribly bored so I started skimming a bit (okay a lot) .i will sum it up this way : She whines a lot,he is the usual brooding alpha guy with a player reputation...bla-bla-bla HEA.

Straight up, I really enjoy Katy Evans' stories. She brings a certain intensity to each and every one but unfortunately, she lost me on this one.

And maybe it's because I'm not a gambler because as the story advanced, the more into the gambling the story became. Not only is Cullen a world class, high ranking professional gambler but Cullen and Wynn make bets with each other on almost everything.

After he "wins" her in a poker game, they bet each other regarding whose career is the best/most interesting/whatever and since this is a Katy Evans' book, of course, the winner gets oral sex.

Wynn knows Cullen in a player especially with his nickname being Playboy but she decides to go with the flow anyway.

I loved finding out what Cullen thinks about Wynn and when he first saw her. And I really enjoyed the relationship he has with his brother, Callan. (the names were just tooo similar!) If you remember, Callan's book was the one right before this one, Womanizer.

It was also great having all the couples involved. I loved what they brought to the story especially the women.

But not everything is rosy for Wynn and Cullen. There's some things in Cullen's past that he hasn't told Wynn, they live in two separate states and Wynn's not even sure she wants to live Cullen's life style.

The drama was somewhat mild...definitely not enough angst for this girl! However, the epilogue was interesting and l-o-n-g which I quite enjoyed but the two "additions" certainly seemed to come out of nowhere.

I didn't read the other ones but this one made me intrigued to start them!

I enjoyed this one, but it also felt like I couldn't believe it. Sometimes I was like seriously how did you go from that to this so fast like in a blink of an eye.. But I still enjoyed it!

I even found the drama level low, don't know if it's true or if it's just me. Maybe I'm so used to drama that it's not much for me anymore.

When I first started the Manwhore series, meeting Wynn as Rachel’s friend, I was hoping she would get back together with her chef boyfriend, Emmett, and it seemed like they would by the end of Womanizer. But now that I’ve read Playboy, I’m so glad Katy Evans decided on Cullen for Wynn. He is alpha, sexy and sweet all at once, wanting to give everything to the girl who deserves it all. I adored both of these characters and their love story. If there’s an author who can make the love and romance between her characters feel real, it’s Katy Evans.

“I won’t fit in my lucky black dress tomorrow,” I worry in a whisper out loud.
Cullen eyes me and partly smiles, lifting his hand to stroke his thumb along the underside of my cheek. “Not a problem. You’re my lucky charm, not that dress of yours.”

After breaking it off with the man she imagined her happily ever after with, Wynn is ready to get back in the game and find a partner who’ll cherish her this time. Unfortunately, it’s not the guy she’s on a date with, who’s taken her to a poker game. But that’s where she meets Cullen Carmichael, the gorgeous man her date is playing against. There’s instant attraction and want on both ends – and once Cullen makes a bet with Wynn, they’re off to Vegas, where the stakes (and emotions) are higher.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Whoever you do in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
My Cullen.
We had a silly wager.
That’s all it was.
But I’m hooked on him, not because of what he is or how much he can spoil me.
It’s because of who he is. Who I am when I’m with him. Who we are together.

Despite the label of “Playboy,” Cullen is very much into Wynn and only Wynn. He shows her the glamorous side of being with a successful professional poker player, treating her like a queen, but once they leave Vegas, will the charm rub off? Wynn and Cullen have fallen head over heels for each other, but with that love last outside of Vegas?

“That’s what I am to you,” I remind him “We’re playing a game.”
“You’re playing a game.” He shakes his head somberly, his poker face gone, his eyes livid with heat. “I’m playing for keeps.”

Wynn and Cullen are perfect together. I love the way Cullen dotes on her the way Wynn deserves, and the way Wynn softens the hard edges Cullen has. The chemistry between them is off the charts – Katy Evans knows how to turn up the heat in her books, and the way Cullen can focus all of his desire, dominance, and need onto Wynn has me all heart-eyed and fanning myself. And besides these two lovely characters, I’m happy we get to see all the previous characters in this book. If this is the last Manwhore book, which I’m praying it’s not, because I could read about all of these characters for ages, it ended the series perfectly!

Quotes are taken from the arc and are subject to change in the final version.

“…this woman changes my game. She. Changes. Everything.”

Playboy by Katy Evans is a SEXY new standalone romance in Katy Evans’ Manwhore World. This series has become an absolute FAVORITE of mine and the fact that Ms. Evans is giving us Cullen Carmichael’s story…I was just over the moon to dive right in! Steamy, enticing, entertaining, and alluring as hell, PLAYBOY had me swooning, blushing, and begging for more! I knew that once I got sucked back into this sensual world, everything else would fall away. There was nothing else but the insane chemistry between the characters and great writing that Ms. Evans’ always produces.

He needed luck on his side. She desperately needed a distraction from heartbreak. Together, Cullen and Wynn made their own luck and the only thing stopping them from opening up their hearts are themselves. I loved how easy it was for Cullen to fall for Wynn. He wanted to get her out of her head, but she ended up taking up a big place in his heart. Wynn could tell herself that Cullen is only temporary, but her heart knows better…

I didn’t know how much I missed Katy Evans’ writing until I was completely absorbed by her words in Playboy. Now I want to go back and read ALL THE THINGS! She reminded me of why I love her brand of storytelling so much. She gives her fans scorching hot, page-turning love stories that capture your mind, body, and soul. She’s a standout in the genre…always has been and always will be.

Once again, Katy Evans proves that she is a pro in the romance department. Playboy, her latest release, is downright sexy. She has perfected the alpha male, and this one is a character you won't want to skip! Cullen is dreamy! He's also deliciously sexy and totally fun to read about. I think any woman would love to have a Cullen in their life!

If you like your books erotically enticing and steamy, you aren't going to want to miss Wynn and Cullen's story. It's the 5th book in the Manwhore series but can stand alone completely. I have read a few (but unfortunately, not all) of the books and am telling you from experience! Don't miss out on Playboy! I recommend it!

Playboy by Katy Evans is a winning sexy romance that will bring heat, excitement and love. If there was ever a book to take a gamble on, this is it. This book was definitely the kind of read that was sizzling with chemistry right from the start as two strangers instantly have an undeniable attraction. Cullen and Wynn’s meeting is one you could say that was fated as these two discover that the only thing that they will be gambling on is their hearts. So if you are looking for a love story that undeniably sexy and captivating then I highly recommend you to read this book.

She thought she was lucky but she hadn't met Cullen- the luckiest man or so everyone thought. Little did he know that his luck was about to skyrocket.

Wynn realizing who Cullen was knows that she has to guard her heart, though since meeting Cullen it seems that her life has taken a turn for the better with more excitement than she's had. Wynn's ability to keep living life to the fullest despite what she can not have had me rooting for her to meet the one that would cherish, protect and love no matter what.

This was a sweet, funny, sexy and beautful story about second chance at love! Kara~4.5 Stars

First Impressions
Playboy was such a surprise of a read for me and yes I am back to reading Katy Evans. I have neglected this author recently, and I think part of it is I just haven’t seen her writing around so I have completely spaced in reading the books I have yet to read from her. I wonder if she will be returning soon as I see she is rebranding her covers (which I have mixed feelings about) but I haven’t really seen much about if she is taking a break from writing or if she is gone for good. I hope she is just taking a break though, as I just adore her work. I won’t lie that I was nervous to read Playboy, because I remember reading Womanizer and I didn’t necessarily love that one. So I didn’t know what to expect going into Playboy especially since I don’t remember this book going around hardly when it was released or maybe I just wasn’t paying attention lol BUT this book blew my mind out of the WATER!! It was everything I wanted and more. The blurb is vague and kind confusing though so I was on the fence for a bit as it’s been on my library shelf in Libby for a little while. But I just had an urge to pick it up, and this book was so addictive.

I feel . . . like the world just disappeared around us . . . like we’re on the verge of a zombie apocalypse but we’re not scared because we have each other. Even if we turned, we’d find our way together.

Wynn Watson, is recovering from a breakup with a man that broke her heart and now is serial dating. Her current date, is taking her to an underground gambling table, what she doesn’t expect is to be drawn into the magnetism of infamous professional poker player Cullen Carmichael aka Playboy, but also happens to be her best friends future brother in law. In their first meeting, there is an intensity and raw attraction between them. But when her date gambles her in a game of poker and he loses, she is now Cullen’s. But Cullen surprises her by just having her be his date for the evening and showing her the tricks to playing poker. When Cullen realizes she is his good luck charm, they come to an arrangement, she spends the weekend with him in Vegas while he will attend with her at her art exhibit as there is a debate between them on whether gambling vs the visual arts has a higher quality to it. As Wynn takes a chance on Cullen, as he treats her to the pleasures and exotic delights that can be found in the city of Sin, there is a deep resounding love that is formed between them. But will past fears and reservations keep them from capitalizing on the intense love they have found in each other’s arms?

People don’t really know how addictive love is until they fall. Once you’re in, you crave the feeling like a drug and you feel lost without it.

What I Loved
I just know that my review could ever come close to portraying how amazing this story was for me or give this book the justice upon which it deserves. There was so much beauty and love contained in this book and its definitely a favorite of mine. I was floored by this book and while it doesn’t match to my love of Remy and his story, this tops all the books in the Manwhore series and that is saying a lot (and for those of you who remember Manwhore and M+1 know exactly how incredible those books were) but there something so poignant about this book that I just didn’t expect. I honestly thought that the hero was the typical playboy, but he surprised me as he is the one solid in the foundation of the relationship and fighting for something more than just a casual fling. He wants love and the whole package long term., He has a past and some struggles. He has found his passion and is not ashamed of what he is good at and makes very good money with. He has this assurance in himself that is sexy as sin. Then we have our heroine, Wynn. She has had some heartbreaking struggles. She isn’t able to physically have children, she got hurt by a man she was with for four years and has major commitment issues. She has a passion for art but she is also spontaneous and full of life and sensuality. I love how she handles our hero especially in the first half of the story. I really felt that she is such a honest breath of fresh air heroine who is easy to relate with. There is a journey that these two go on, of self discovery and learning to fight for real love. Its not easy though, the heroine has some issues that she needs to work through, but that moment when she realizes what she has with Cullen, was simply beautiful. And the ending….my HEART was so LOST in the story and I didn’t want to leave. Buckets of happy tears as it really brings the story full circle and had such a satisfying finale.

I’m in deep and drowning. Cullen is a different kind of danger, a precipice of uncertainty that promises to leave me awakened and alive.

What I Struggled With
I do wish that the heroine had fought for the hero a bit earlier and not been so hesitant but it didn’t take away from my enjoyment at all.

I won our bet but I also won something more. I won the man, a man who chose me.

Overall View
Playboy is a badass charming contemporary read that will deliver 100% to its readers,. A poignant romance that will deliver in the feels, surrounding you will thrills and joys, guaranteed to having you cheer these two on towards their journey to their happy ever after! Cullen Carmichael has my HEART and SOUL!

This feels so different than anything else I’ve ever had in my life. This is real love. Real and honest. It’s love, the kind that moves mountains.

I think this might be my favourite from this author. Such a great read. Cullen is the quintessential Vegas Poker Player - his nickname Playboy - suits him perfectly. Then he meets Wynn and everything changes. A simple bet becomes so much more. He is EVERYTHING I love in a BBF!! I absolutely loved the writing style in this one. The banter between the characters was hilarious and their chemistry - WOWSA - be sure to have hubs or fresh batteries handy. I binged this story in one session and cannot recommend it enough.

I received an arc of this book.

Once again Katy Evans delivers an amazing book to the Manwhore collection! Cullen Carmichael is cocky, sexy and your next book boyfriend. He lays claim to Wynn from the moment he sees her and how he pulls her in will have you on the edge of seat. I love their interactions and banters together. They challenge one another but at the same time support the other. I’ve always been a Tahoe fan but this book has definitely made me a Cullen fan!

Wynn just wants to find the one, she has had relationship after relationship fail and she is done not finding the one. But she isn’t expecting to find a mysterious man at a poker game who turns out to be her best friend’s brother-in-law. Cullen intrigues Wynn and she can’t help but get caught up in his charm and when a bet puts her in Vegas with him, she thinks this might be the change she has needed.

Cullen has been interested in Wynn since he first saw her and now that he has the chance to show her his world he might be able to finally have her. As they spend time in Vegas together he continues to fall for her and feel things he has never felt before. And when the time comes will they both be all in?

Wynn and Cullen will have to figure out if the are both willing to bet on one another?

the book picked because of the cover
experiment failed!

our heroine can't have kids but that is NOT a reason why should she have unprotected sex because you know diseases and hero is well as the title of the series says a manwhore..
other than that I just don't feel this book..maybe I waited too long to read it...
and I don't know why but when I read about women's infertility in romance novels the man always somehow has a biological child..ugh...

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

"They call him Playboy."

And ladies you will soon find out why. And believe me, Cullen Carmichael will be your new BBF!!! He has moved up my list to join some of my very...VERY fav BBF!!

She happens to be at the casino where he is playing. He can't keep his eyes off of her. He has had a bit of a loosing streak but when she comes around....he starts winning and he starts winning real BIG!! Lawd I could feel the whole Indecent Proposal vibe coming on while reading. It was fabulous!!!

Anyway they end up seeing each other later at her best friends wedding. Lots of flirting, fun banter and lots of sexual tension happens between Cullen and her... Cullen can't resist a good bet. Sooo of course a bet is made...ummm like a hot as shit bet was made..lol And the next thing you know is he invites her to Vegas, his next tournament as his good luck charm. She accepts, but they make a pact to only be friends, just have a good time. yeah right lol
