Valentina is a women’s fiction, a beautiful love story of Valentina and continued story of Chantelle Rose finding their own happily ever after loads of struggle in their life. The story was about love, forgiveness, moving with the flow of life and acceptance of fate facing it with confidence and smile. Book was loaded with lots of drama, lots of twists and surprises, narrated in entertaining voice

Valetina by Christina Hodgson.
24 year old Chantelle Rose is pregnant.  But who is the father? She needs to get a pregnancy test to see if she is pregnant.  I loved that bit. Made me laugh. I love Chantelle. She is my favourite character. I loved the ending too.  My favourite was when she asked for 2 pregnancy test and got 14. I was in stitches. Definitely worth more than 5*.

It was a absolutely delight to be back with Chantelle Rose in Valentina, she was one of my favourite characters from last year and she’s definitely just as fabulous! Valentina picks up right where A Little of Chantelle Rose ended however it can be read as a standalone as Cristina provides some background in the first few chapters.

In Valentina we learn about Robbie and Lionel’s past and the character of Valentina. Valentina’s story is told in parallel to Chantelle’s which was enjoyable to read as

I was absolutely blown away by this. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in the series A Little of Chantelle Rose and this book takes it to a whole new level. With the background from the first book it sets the scene really well for Chantelle's future and the situations that she finds herself having to deal with. It made me love Chantelle even more than I already did and the new characters that are introduced are just as deep and full on intrigue. I loved the style of writing and how it changed ...more

This book is simply BRILLIANT. It starts out all soft and magical and intriguing, then chapter one hits you BAM - "I'm pregnant." What could be a semi tragic state of affairs for a young woman, especially when you hear the circumstances, will have you laughing.
From the beginning tones I expected an irreverent, split my sides read. This is so much more!
It is magical and romantic and funny. It will tug your heartstrings and moments may infuriate you!

I had not read the previous book in this series

In Valentina, we learn more about Lionel and Robbie's past and how Chantelle is herself involved. Chantelle's situation becomes complicated and she realises her true feelings about the two men. Valentina's story is told in parallel to Chantelle's present day one and eventually the two story lines and characters collide.

Still escapist romance, I would say that I enjoyed Valentina more than the first in the series, A Little of Chantelle Rose. It has a strong story line with character based myste

Valentina is the second book in the Chantelle Rose series. I loved book 1, so i started book two with my fingers crossed that it would be as enjoyable as the first.
I need not of worried and to be honest with Cristina's writing style i really don't think she could ever publish a boring story.
By the end of chapter one  the character of Chantelle Rose was like revisiting an old friend. The story begins as Chantelle finds herself pregnant and not quite sure of who the father is. It could be her fi ...more

"There's beautiful...and then there's you, Chantelle Rose."
That line is my absolute favorite in this book. A brilliant sequel to add to Cristina's successes! I read the story in one sitting because it's THAT good. Chantelle is on journey and wow it takes her everywhere. I'm so happy with how the story unfolded and the man she ends up with because otherwise there'd be a revolt ;) Looking forward to the third installment to this series. More Chantelle, more Robbie, and much more mystery!

Wow Chantelle. She was born to help the bothers. I wondered which direction this book was going to go but i loved it. All the way through i had to find out more which lead me to reading the book in one day. Usually i would read a book over a few days because of work and life balance. Could not put this one down. Great story.

Twists and turns and terrific!

Chantelle Rose is back again in her inimitable style, and oh, what a story this time! I loved being transported to Argentina. I loved the build-up of mystery. And I loved the will-they-won't-they narrative; the essence of every great romance. Though the comedy moments are aplenty - as with the author's debut novel - grab a box of tissues too!

Review originally published here:

Valentina by Cristina Hodgson welcomes the return of protagonist Chantelle Rose. In order to continue the fairy-tale life she experienced in the first book, Chantelle needs to get to the bottom of who Lionel and Robbie really are. The path takes her to the Pampas lands of Argentina and the stunning Valentina. But who is Valentina and what key does she hold to the past?

What you are probably wondering already is “can I read

The front cover of Valentina shows a very beautiful and striking lady, wearing a nice looking hat. She has an air of elegance; wearing pearl earrings, necklace and a nice blouse. Her hand rests on her hat, look's as if she is repositioning it into place. The tittle adds to the continuing elegance. The authors name is positioned at the bottom of the cover clearly in view! The cover is dark looking giving the cover an air of myst

A very passionate love, a diverse love, an intriguing love, a love that transcends time and distance. This is book two of the Chantelle Rose series. Book one was fabulous. I enjoyed reading it. This book two is excellent. I could not put the book down. There was a lot of emotion in this story. There were different POV's that helped explain how every thing fits together. It has mystery. There is shock, the reuniting of lost loves, family and friends. The piecing together of family history, honor ...more

After reading book one in the Chantelle Rose Series I was looking forward to seeing what would happen next in Chantelle's life. It's safe to say that there is plenty of drama that easily kept me entertained especially as things got even more confusing for Chantelle. I would probably suggest reading the first book in the series just so you get a better feeling for character history. However events from the first book are explained so don't worry too much if you start with this book. Chantelle is ...more

My review is 4.35 stars.

I'm following every book from the author. And I must say that she's progressing in her writing skills and storytelling with every book. This book is #2 in Chantelle Rose series. When I read the #1 in the series that set a standard in my mind and I'm pleased to say that this book crossed those standards. This book is even better than its previous counterpart & I like this one more.

The characters in the book are more developed from the previous one and in a better way, that

It was great to be back with Chantelle Rose. This second book in Christina Hodgson’s ‘Chantelle Rose Series’ starts where the first book finishes but Hodgson cleverly gives readers the backstory so it can be read as a standalone story.
Chantelle finds out she is pregnant but does not know if Lionel is the father or Robbie who is in the UK. She travels to the UK only to discover Robbie has gone travelling too, so of course she follows him. This leads to another adventure and to the Pampas lands o

4 1/2 stars!
This novel is a continuation of the book A Little of Chantelle Rose and should be read in order. Valentina is the story of a young woman in Argentina and how her life becomes important to Robbie and Lionel. However,  Chantelle is the heart of the book. She finds herself pregnant and in a precarious position in her relationships with Lionel and Robbie. This book is unlike any I have read previously. It has a strong plot, the characters well written and a satisfying, if somewhat predi

I loved this book! I liked Chantelle Rose butValentia just ste my breath. I’m purposely not doing a spoiler review because I think people need to read it themselves.
Before I read it this is what I’d want to know:
A book full of passion, hopes, love and good old fashioned mystery.
Who are the brothers? What’s happened in their past? What can Chantelle do?
And who’s the dad???
Don’t expect this book to be a basic chick flick it’s so much more
Cristina Hodgson gets better with every book!

This book was a great follow up to a Little of Chantelle Rose. Fast paced, romatic, funny and again had you turning the page to see where it might take you. Chantelle finding out more about herself and the two men in her life. As the book progresses she finds out more about them and then finds Valentina who is also a big mystery with a great story to be discovered. a great read look forward to more.

Chantelle is back.. In a huge dilemma.
And a chance to learn about the past of the two people who have come to matter so much to her leads her to Argentina and the enigmatic Valentina.
Chantelle is as humorous as ever, particularly her thoughts regarding her situation and the people with her.
With the touch of mystery, this is a good read.

Loved this book, a perfect follow on to the first one. I read both books in succession so was pleased I could carry on with the story of Chantelle, Lionel and Robbie, picking up where the last book ended.
As in the first book the characters are really likeable and the story is well writte. Hopefully there will be another one :)

Great follow on from A Little of Chantelle Rose but could be read stand alone. A mixture of romance mystery and fairy tale romances.
