"Actions show who someone is, words only prove who they want to be.”

I really enjoyed this book more than I did the first one. We got to meet some new faces, and reconnect with a lot of characters from the first book- as well as expanding the world building that mixes in magic and technology.

I was also glad to see Rune growing more into her role as the head of her House and learn more about her magic.

Plus I was enjoying St. Benedicts character a bit more this time around bc he w

Rune Leveau thought she understood who she was, but when she gets attacked in an alley and saved by the cyberspy St. Benedict, questions from her past come rearing back to plague her.

Her cousin shows up and has a few answers, but before Rune can really understand her abilities, they are pulled into a mysterious conflict centered around the lost work of Rune's ex-husband.

In this follow-up to The Finder of the Lucky Devil, magic and technology collide and merge in a way I've never seen. Corporat

The Saint of Liars is the second book in The Lucky Devil Series by Megan Mackie. I am absolutely loving this brilliant series! After falling in love with the first book, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this second instalment. I dove right in and devoured it in a day. It is definitely every bit as good as the first book, and there is no way that I could pick a favourite out of the two. The overarching storyline is spellbinding and full of intricate details and incredible world building.

By: Megan Mackie
5 out of 5 stars

The story The Saint of Liars (Lucky Devil Series Book 2) by Megan Mackie is an urban/fantasy book. It once again has the characters of Rune Leveau and St. Benedict back together and facing dangerous situations. This story has action, adventure and had me turning pages to find out what happens next. I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the last page. Just when Rune believes that the most she has to worry about

The Saint of Liars by Megan Mackie a thrilling five-star read. This is the second book in the Lucky Devil series. I have read the first book, so I don’t know if you could read it as stand-alone, I would say read the series mind as it is a very good series. Rune is a great character and one who will pull you into her story, she will make you want to keep reading to find out more of her story. This author has somehow managed to create an environment with lots going on and lots of influences but st ...more

The Saint of Liars is the second book in the Lucky Devil series. I highly recommend reading the first book before you read this one to get a good grasp of the characters and events that set this book up. Plus, the first book is an amazing read too.
I truly love the blend of tech and magic in this series. In Saint of Liars, Rune discovers more about her abilities, which is a fascinating aspect of the story line.
The tension between St. Benedict and Rune is nearly palpable. I’ll be interested to see

This is the second book in this series. I enjoyed this one as much as the first one if not a little more. In this installment Rune continues to try to hide her past and is now in search of her ex-husband's secrets. Then you have Saint Benedict added to the mix. Things start heating up and so does the danger. This story pulled me in right from the beginning. The characters are strong but both carry emotional damage which makes them great characters. I highly recommend this book.

This book is a great continuation of the first. Again, the cover is off-putting. The story is great. Mackie shows that she's grown in her writing of those chaotic moments. Only once did I have to stop and go back to reread to see what I was missing. Another great tale that I didn't want to put down. Now I just need to get the rest of them.

Loved this book!
Loved the growth in strength that Rune went thru. From fearing her own shadow to finally letting go of her feelings for Justin. To embracing her powers and being ok with it. I hope there are more books in the future!!

In her first book, “Finder of the Lucky Devil”, Megan Mackie introduced us to her alternate Chicago. It's a place where technology and magic exist side-by-side, but the balance is shifting. With technology becoming more and more like magic, those who wield the older power face a bleak future. Corporations that virtually own their employees are consolidating their hold on the city, squeezing those they do not control out of power, or into their control.

THE SAINT OF LIARS is the sequel to the incredibly good THE FINDER AT THE LUCKY DEVIL. The Lucky Devil series is about a young woman named Rune who is a trophy wife named June Masterson who reinvented herself after her abusive husband threw her under the bus for his crimes. Except, she has supernatural abilities like the power to find any object she wants and her adventures take place in a cyberpunk dystopia with fairies as well as wizardesses. Rune just wants to escape her past but can't as lon ...more

The Saint of Liars is the second installment of the Lucky Devil Series from Megan Mackie. She was completely new to me when I picked up the first book in the series, The Finder of the Lucky Devil. I was hooked by the end of that book on the concept of this series as a whole and especially on the character of Rune. In The Saint of Liars we get a continuation of the story we read in book one. And… we get a five star read with this one! I loved this. It seemed like whatever was lacking for me to wa ...more

This is book two in the ‘The Lucky Devil’ series by Megan Mackie, the storyline is set in an alternate Chicago where technology and magic are in competition with each other. This is an urban fantasy/cyberpunk novel with a fast paced storyline and some great characters. Rune, Saint Benedict, and the rest of the gang are back! Plus a couple of new characters to push the story along. Megan Mackie is very good at piling on plot, plot, and more plot, without overwhelming the reader. The book is jam packed, in other words.

The story begins a couple of months after the end of the first book. Rune is having financial and magical trouble again. She just doesn't have the power to keep things running at the bar. Then Saint Benedict turns up, and her world is turned upside

The Saint of Liars is the second book in Megan Mackie’s Lucky Devil series. It follows Rune Anna Leveau, who has a dark mysterious past, that seems to get closer and closer to catching up with her. Rune, with the help of her Aunt Maggie, buried Rune’s old identity, along with her connection to her husband Justin Masterson; after they were arrested for Justin’s embezzlement several months ago. Now everything has been turned upside down with the arrival of a cyborg spy, asking questions about Anna ...more

The Saint of Liars is book 2 in the Lucky Devil Series From author Megan Mackie. This is my second read from this author, and a brilliant introduction to her writing techniques, characters and compelling storylines.

This author has once again created a captivating storyline that has brilliant world-building, brilliant descriptions that help you mentally visualise the world that you are reading in your mind! This book was action packed from the get-go, and pulled you in completely, and had you on
The Saint of Liars (Lucky Devil #2) by Megan Mackie was just as fast pace, fun, wicked, epic and just plain amazing as the first book.

God I love this series! Taking place almost right after the first books ends, about two months to be precise, it isn't long before we are tossed back into the thick of things, and of course Run's ex-jerkface a-hole hubby is at the centre of it.

I'm going to keep this short, because my god there is a lot going on in this second instalment. But you need to know tha

The Saint Of Liars by Megan Mackie is the second book in the Lucky Devil series. This series really needs to be read in order as it follows the same characters and the story follows on. To get the best out of it they aren’t not really stand-alone books.

Rune did it. She survived the onslaught of the Kodiak Corporation. And dare she say it but things had been pretty quiet ever since. Of course that couldn’t last for long.
The corporate entities are still a lingering threat and a Faerie King has mad

I was hungry to read this book after finishing the first and sat and  gobbled it up in one day. There was no way I could put it down as there is so much  going on I had to know where it was going. We are back with Rune Leveau at the Luck Devil Bar. We Met Rune in Book one when she had inherited the bar from her Aunt who had recently passed away. The Lucky Devil series is about a young woman named Rune who is a wife named June Masterson who reinvented herself after her abusive husband threw her under the bus for his crimes. Rune thought everything was over. She officially claimed the Lucky Devil and is trying to get her life back to normal. Well, as normal as it can be now. Of course it was too good to be true. Now it all comes back to her ex husband and the files he created. There are many entities that want it, and many will do anything to get the files. One of them after the files is Sa

The Saint of Liars is book two in the Lucky Devil series by Megan Mackie. If you haven’t already I would recommend starting with book one.

I really enjoyed this book, having already met some of the characters in book one I found it easier to follow and, as a result, more enjoyable.

The Saint of Liars (The Lucky Devil series Book 2) by Megan Mackie. I loved this book. I don't usually read this genre but I read the 1st book and I loved it. The 2nd installment did not disappoint. Rune is back and finds herself in the middle of a war between corporations. They all want to use her special ability to find something.
