Now, he lives in the country and works on cars. He prefers the simple life without someone trying to put their fist through his face on a weekly basis. There’s just one thing about that life he misses.

Bowie Blake was once a bad girl too. But now she’s a socialite turned reality TV star who turned her back ten years ago on the love of her life, Stone Patino.

Full of regret and needing help, she seeks out Stone again. She drags Stone back into the ring to fight her battles and save her wheelchair-bound brother. Stone agrees, but must fight through his own demons and his love for Bowie. Both soon learn it’s not easy to fight the same battles they’d already fought and lost so many years ago. But now it’s a fight they both aim to win.

Stone earned the label “Bad Boy” with his fists in the underground fight club, but that was a decade ago, before he was betrayed and almost died. Now he lives in Willow Valley, loving the contentment and peace of real friends in a world above the rat hole of blood and pain for entertainment.

Bowie was his girl, his everything until she turned her back on him when he needed her most. Now she has come back into his life, the beautiful dark angel he has never gotten over. The woman who once used the law to keep him away now is begging him to help her, to step into the ring one more time, to fight the very monster who nearly killed for the monster who paid to see it done.

Can Stone risk his heart and his body for the woman he thought he knew, the woman who will always own his heart? Can he trust the wealthy socialite who is used to getting what she wants because of her fame and money? Does Bowie have the right to ask? Is it a trap?

STONE by Shannyn Leah is a story of love, hate, pain, loss and a chance for redemption and healing. It’s a story of taking a chance, of learning to trust, of forgiving and for some, owning what they have made of their lives taking responsibility.

Shannyn Leah has created a tarnished knight in boxing gloves with Stone, and trust me, he will leave you swooning, even as you want to ask him, “Are you crazy?” Bowie doesn’t start out earning my sympathies, she was the ultimate betrayer of Stone’s heart but as their saga unfolds, we learn she may also be a victim caught between two different kinds of love, a misguided woman drowning in the cesspool she helped enable.

There is passion, an inferno of love and hate and histories that have been skewed by emotional turmoil. Did I mention the heartless villain, the pampered pawn, the irascible clown or the amazing friends? Yep, they are all there and they make this love story come alive!

I received a complimentary edition from Shannyn Leah!

Stone by Shannyn Leah
Stone left the underground boxing world 10 years ago. He felt betrayed and the one woman, who hammered the last nail into his coffin, is back. He wants nothing to do with her, but she won’t take no for an answer, even if it means she has to buy him. Bowie gave up her one true love for family. She lost not only the man she loved, but herself in the process. When past ghosts come back to take revenge on her brother, she knows there is only one man who can help her, Stone. Bowie is forcing Stone back into the underground boxing world to save her brother. But is she really saving him or is she putting all their lives at risk. Stone is so angry with Bowie but deep down he still loves her. Is he prepared to open up his heart again while risking his life for her? Is she going to betray him again? When the secrets from the past are revealed can Stone forgive Bowie? Can Bowie see past her brother’s needs? The sexual tension between Stone and Bowie is sizzling. They are both strong and feisty characters. The innuendos and the witty banters are entertaining. Secondary characters play a huge part in this story and Hawk will have you in fits of laughter. This story is full of tension, building climax, secrets, surprises and some dangerous twist along the way. Overall a very enjoyable read.

After meeting Stone as a secondary character in Dax, I would have never pictured him as a former underground fighter still suffering from a broken heart. However, Shannyn Leah has created a surprising back story for this Bad Boy and it makes for a great read! Not only does Stone get a second chance at love but a chance to get back in the ring and settle some of his old demons that have been haunting him for the past ten years. Can't imagine what will be next in the Willow Valley series but I can't wait to find out!

Having met Stone in a previous book in this series, I was excited about reading his story. It wasn't at all as I thought it would be and because of my own squeamish nature and aversion to violence, I did find this novel difficult to read. Despite his extreme introversion, it is good to know that Stone has friends in his corner who are willing to protect him through thick and thin and to watch his back. However, when he comes face to face with Bowie, all the anger of his past comes back to haunt him. He initially turns his back on Bowie, but when she lets him know that she needs his help, he cannot refuse her. There are moments of humour in this book as well as the resurfacing of old pain. Lies and betrayal abound as well as surprising explanations. On the whole, the book is well written with suspense and the reigniting of romance. I did find that it came to a rather abrupt ending and would have liked some of the loose ends tied up. Although this book is part of a series, it is nevertheless a stand-alone and can be read as such. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Well this book has confirmed that this series is going to be exceptional. I loved Dax, but have to say Stone has stolen his spot as my book boyfriend. He is very much a mans man, but he has never quite let go and stopped loving Bowie. Even after everything she had put him through. Where other men would have walked away and never contemplated rekindling their relationship, Stone's heart had only ever belonged to her.
Bowie took me a while to like her. But she has a good heart and often gives it to the wrong people - mainly her brother.
Such a well written book that I found hard to put down. I can't wait for when Hawk receives his own story.

I really enjoy a good second chance romance, and Shannyn definitely delivered with Stone. With a past of underground fighting, Stone has created a new life in a small town, but has been unable to forget Bowie. With the past standing between them, and an old score to settle, Stone and Bowie have a long way to go before they can forgive past mistakes. I have to say the involved plot, diverse characters, and the side stories make this one, terrific read.

I'm loving these bad boys of Willow Valley. I was already intrigued by Stone in Dax's book but he was even better than I was hoping. Stone is all alpha and badass but also sweet and loving. Bowie is a strong heroine who survives after making a huge sacrifice. I loved the underground fighting aspect to this story. It was told in such a different perspective. Amazing story that I can't wait to reread. And I'm intrigued to see who and what Hawk is all about, the real Hawk.

Stone thought Bowie was the love of a lifetime until she betrayed him. For years he's worked to put that pain and betrayal behind him, and then after a decade, she shows back up in Willow Valley. He thought his days of underground fighting were long ago behind him, but Bowie needs him to take on one more opponent in the ring, and it’s a matter of life and death.

After reading Dax, I fell in love with Willow Valley and the boys of Willow Valley, so I was delighted to read Stone's story. This author did a great job with Dax's story, but Stone and Bowie’s story is phenomenal! This book is unequivocally Shannon Leah's best book yet! The writing is masterful, the characters are endlessly endearing and the storyline is captivating, compelling and thrilling. I fervidly disliked Bowie at the beginning of the book, and that was before I found out all the ways she betrayed and hurt Stone. It speaks to this author's talent that she was not only able to win me over, but she had me cheering for Bowie and Stone's happily ever after.

Not only are the main characters loveable, but the secondary characters are equally as entertaining and likeable. I can’t wait to read more from Willow Valley (give us Hawk's story already!). I’m curious to see if Bowie's brother, Reed, will get his own story, and I didn’t get nearly enough of the bickering between Stone's dad and Bowie's mother figure. I want more! The Willow Valley characters have utterly charmed and captivated me and I'll be metaphorically dogging this author's heels to get my hands on the next book in the series. If you like your romance sweet but with great chemistry as well as heartfelt with a dash of intensity, you’ll love Stone and Bowie's story. This book will lure you in, bewitch and beguile you, give you a kick of adrenaline and leave your heart in bliss by the end. Don’t miss this fantastic read!

Another winner by Shannyn Leah!
This book is the second book in the Bad Boys of Willow Valley series.
Stone Patino is a former fighter turned mechanic/ car restorer. Bowie Blake is a former reality tv star, spoiled rich girl and heiress. They were once an item, until an unfortunate turn of events and a beating from an opponent and his hired thugs before a match, ended all of that. Stone has moved to the quiet idyllic Willow Valley and has put that life behind him, or at least thought he had until he runs into Bowie at his father’s gym.
This book starts with the back story , then turns very exciting, very quickly. If you are a fan of Fight Club you will enjoy this book. It has drama, angst, lots of side characters that perhaps will have their own stories, and plenty of steamy love scenes. I very much enjoyed seeing into a world that I know very little about.
The reason that I gave it only four stars is that I felt that the ending wasn’t complete. I wanted to know what happened when the police came and what happened to the villain , it felt unfinished. Perhaps it will be part of another character’s book, I hope so. I do look forward to Slate and Susan having a story, and Hawk and a girl that can stabilize him, and perhaps even Reed coming out of his recovery and finding someone.

I am loving this series. Stone Patino used to be an underground fighter and won all his matches. Bowie Blake’s father had taken him under his wing to show him the ropes. He fell in love with Bowie and she with him. Bowie’s father died after a fight which was hard for Bowie and her brother Reed. After one of Stone’s fights, an underhanded fighter named Walker got Stone alone in an alley and had his buddies hold Stone down while Walker beat him to an inch of his death. Afterwards Bowie wouldn’t have anything to do with him, and even had a restraining order against him. Stone was heartbroken and moved back home. He helps out his best friend Dax in his Body Shop. It is ten years later and Bowie comes looking for Stone to ask him to fight Walker in an underground fight to save her brother. Stone ends up agreeing to help even though his friends are totally against it.

There are a few secrets Bowie kept from Stone with the biggest one being why she broke up with him. She is very rich and her brother Reed has never liked Stone. Reed has some demons of his own that he needs to face. It was sad that Bowie and Stone never stopped loving each other, but it took ten years and some more pain before they could get back together. Their struggle at times brought me to tears. I loved the story and strongly encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.

“Don’t come to lick my wounds. Mine are deeper than flesh and beyond repair.”
When it took you years to mend a broken heart and put aside any feelings and the woman that crushed you comes back what will you do……
Stone Patino is an ex underground boxer that loves his cars and working as a mechanic at his best friend’s shop. He doesn’t have time nor care for any relationships; not even meaningless one night stands. He loved, got beaten to death, got screwed and somehow got over it.
Bowie Blake is rich, famous and beautiful but behind her persona, she dreams of a simpler life, painting and she always carried around the weight of the guilt and pain of leaving the love of her life behind.
When Bowie shows up and asks Stone for help it doesn’t go that well at first. Will he be able to turn his back to her or will he help her?
A story about strong friendship, the uneasy family ties, hurtful actions, sorrow, broken hearts as well as tough love, compassion and forgiveness; that book holds it all !

I most definitely have a bleeding heart for those that give up what their hearts want for family. Always seems way too selfless and that person deserves a noble prize or something since no one will understand the person in questions actions. In fact, I can almost guarantee that everyone will misunderstand and there is where the magic of the story begins.

The sexual tension between Stone and Bowie is off the charts. But they both have so much more on the line to fight for. Bowie is doing all these for her brother; the same brother she gave up Stone for many years ago - but Stone of coz thinks differently.

Stone is your man's man. He says he doesn't want anything to do with the girl anymore, but he will still go to her rescue no matter what - even if it might cause him his life.

Will he deliver the winning punch and take home the biggest prize? Or will she not be able to see beyond her brother's needs?

Stone... What can I say about Stone...

How about that I loved the freak out of this novel!!!

Stone's character intrigued me when reading Dax, and I just knew he had a story to be told. It was a heart-breaking one, but through fighting through it, he got what he truly wanted.

I loved this story so much. It had everything you could possibly want: Drama, love, hate, humour... I simply could not get enough.

Bowie and Stone are perfect for one another. They manage to push their flaws aside and think of one another. You could tell from the very beginning that it was far from over (obviously!). I loved their story so much, and I'm still thinking about now even after I've finished reading it.

I loved it so much! Their story wasn't perfect, but it was theirs. It was incredible.

Now to wait for Hawk's story...

If your girlfriend took out a no contact order against you, would you even consider taking her back? Stone says no but his heart still belongs to Bowie. When she explains why, he's ready to forgive her but his friends don't forgive so easily. Especially when Bowie then gets him into an underground grudge fight. Will they ever manage to get together?

Love & anger are two extreme emotions. Both have their own form of heat. Stone's anger at Bowie is more hurt at her betrayal than true anger. He has to learn to listen to what she says & give forgiveness or he will stay bitter & alone. Bowie has to realize there is such a thing as tough love & her brother needs that more than the pandering & spoiling. He needs to grow up & atone for his actions. Another great story!

First came Dax, now Stone. Stone has worked hard to put his past behind him and move on. He has his work, his home, his friends, he keeps himself busy. He's doing ok. And then she came back. He never thought he'd see her again, he never wanted to see her again. Yet when she begged him to hear her out, he did.

Bowie did what she thought was best at the time, to protect Stone. Even though it broke her heart and shattered their dreams. Now, her brother's life is on the line, and Stone is the only one that can save him. She has come back to beg him to help her, but will he?

They had a great love at one time, until Bowie threw it all away, or did she? This is another amazing story about the Bad Boys of Willow Valley. There is humor, drama, passion, jealousy and hate, and so much more. Come back to Willow Valley and say hi to some old friends, and meet some new ones too. I can't wait for book three!

Stone and Bowie sizzle!

This is the second book in the series Bad Boys of Willow Valley. You don’t need to read the first book as you gain sufficient background to get you up to the point this book starts. The writer draws you in from the first chapter and keeps you entertained and looking for the next twist throughout. Stone and Bowie’s chemistry is hot! While I love their banter causing me to snicker in just the right places of the plot. This book is a mix of sexual tension, secrets and suspense, and surprises and laughter.

I am just loving this Willow Valley Series and Stone is one of Dax’s friends. Ten years ago Stone was an underground fighter and in love with Bowie Blake but things happened and he left that life for a peaceful one in Willow Valley. When Bowie shows up to beg Stone to fight again to save her brother he has a hard time saying no to her even if he hates her brother Reed. Stone has to fight Walker and win or he kills Reed who is already in a wheelchair for his stupidity but this fight could kill Stone. I loved the integrity that Stone has and his ability to forgive and take on this fight and how Bowie had the strength to help her brother even if she was wronged.

Leaving the underground boxing world behind, Stone thinks his life is getting better until a blast from the past walks into his father’s gym and changes his future. Now Stone needs to go back into the world that he wanted to leave behind in order to save Bowie and her brother. But will this fight put him in a grave or will it clean out the demons from his past? With great characters and a storyline that was action-packed, this book was a wonderful read. I cannot wait for more in the series.

I am loving Shannyn Leah's Bad Boys of Willow Valley. Stone was in love with Bowie a life time ago. He believed that she was the one until she betrayed him. He moved back home to Willow Valley and worked on putting that all behind him, until a decade later Bowie shows up needing his help. Stone thought he gave up his old life of underground fighting but he's willing to fight one more opponent for Bowie.

I immediately fell in love with Stone and disliked Bowie, but as the story went on I began to like her more, she definitely grew on me. The connection Stone and Bowie shared was great. I loved all of the characters in this series and of course the town of Willow Valley. I can't wait for the next Bad Boy story.

Stone Patino is the person you root for. He changed is life, is a straight shooter but has never let go the anger that has built up over the years. Now he has the opportunity to get everything he has ever wanted. First priority is to get everything aired out between Bowie and him. Next up is his Dad. Last but not least is the score he needs to settle in order to get their HEA. Love the ending!

Stone is the second novel in the Bad Boys of Willow Valley, and it can be read as a standalone. I was so excited when I saw that the author was writing Stone's story, I liked him in Dax's story, and boy I sure wasn't disappointed. What would you do if you were betrayed by the woman you loved, and now she's back needing your help? It was an entertaining read with undeground fighting, friends and family. The characters Bowie and Stone were great, and they truly loved eachother. I like seeing past secondary characters too especially Hawk. Really hope his story is next.

Loved my most recent visit to Willow Valley. I always do love the bad boys. Loved Stone through the whole story but wasn't sure what to think of Bowie. Was she a spoiled bitch or just misunderstood? Will they get a second chance or will life and family get in the way of there love? Great cast of characters Hawk, Slate, Susan and Emerie. Still don't like Reed though. Also great to hear from our old friends Dax, Ava, Olivia and Wanda and a ride in good old Charlie. ♡♡♡♡♡

Stone is the second book by Shannyn Leah and another winner in the Bad Boys of Willow Valley series. The main characters are both feisty and strong and boy does the sizzling sexual tension and steamy love scenes get the heart pumping. This story will keep you engaged and enthralled as you walk on this journey with these characters with all the secrets and lies, twists and turns, danger and angst, fear and tension. The funny innuendos and the witty banter are highly entertaining and will have you laughing out loud.

Stone

I knew I would love Stone from Dax's book. Bowie, I wasn't to fond of her in the beginning. She hurt Stone so much. Finding out the reason later on and getting to know her better changed my opinion of her. Stone is the strong, sweet, sexy guy. I never knew reading about him in Dax what his past really held. I loved this book. I loved the feelings that played out with each of these characters. Reed still has a long ways to go in my eyes but he could grow on me lol. Shannyn's writing just keeps getting better and better. Another five star review for one of my favorite authors and people !
