At Last, the collection of Stella Starling’s bestselling Beloved Series, includes all three full-length novels from the series, plus an exclusive bonus story, Be Real, not available anywhere else! Meet the men of the Beloved Series—the Billionaire, the Bodyguard, the Best Friend—and follow along with their interconnected love stories as they each find exactly the love they didn’t know they needed. Be True When flamboyant Trevor Rogers agrees to play the part of reclusive billionaire Logan Carter’s fake boyfriend, saying “I love you” starts to feel real. Be Mine The upside of the death threats business owner Kelly Davis receives is a sexy bodyguard. Except that the only thing Jase Walker seems interested in—besides doing his job—is bossing Kelly around. Be Loved After ten years carrying a torch for his best friend, Shane Allen, police officer Brandon Byrne finally gets the chance to tell Shane Allen how he really feels. Now, all he has to do is manage to keep Shane safe from the ex-boyfriend who finally pushed Shane into his arms. Be Real Jose Mendoza has just found his “Prince Charming.” The only catch? His perfect man confesses that it’s not real; the dating app bLoved only matched them up due to technical difficulties. At Last is a gay romance collection including the three full-length novels of the Beloved Series and the 21,000 word novella Be Real, available only in this bundle. Every Stella Starling romance can be read as a standalone and takes place in the same interconnected, contemporary world. The Beloved Series is a spin-off from the standalone holiday romance All I Want, and the men of Be Real also make appearances in both All I Want and Be True. Enjoy!
Since I've read the first three Beloved books, I got this collection for the last story, For Real, only available in this set. The rating is for that story only.
This is a cute, feel-good novella set in pre-holiday season, very readable, with just a bit of sexy at the end and a solid HFN.
The MCs don't meet face to face until the last chapter, so there was very little relationship development. I would have liked more time with Jose and Barry.
This one can be read as a standalone. It's more related to All I Want than the Beloved series (Jose is Elliott's friend at the Ashby's department store).
This set contains three books making up the At Last series as well as a short story about secondary characters mentioned in book one.
Book one, Logan and Trevor, was my favorite in terms of characters and storyline. Book Two, Kelly and Jase was good as I really liked Jase but Kelly annoyed the crap out of me, Book Three gave me two characters I liked in Brendan and Shane but the storyline was aggravating. The short story about Jose and Barry was cute but too short for any real character development or storyline.
Liked all the stories but they should be read from the last story to the first. Yes they are all independent full stories but if you read the collection I do suggest start at the last book and read to the first.
Overall this is a sweet and light-hearted series to read. All three stories happen within the same time span and follow the same plot that Kelly Davis received a death threat. While each of the stories feature different couples with different reactions and roles to the threat on Kelly it still comes across as a bit boring. Drama and angst levels were LOW despite the involvement of death threats and stalkers. But the point of this series is not to be a thriller mystery. Its to be sweet and endearing. So mission accomplished Stella Starling. I think it would be a wonderful read for February as the book's events circle around Valentine's Day. The bonus story at the end was my favorite and I will definitely check out more of SS works in the future.
Having read this trilogy and loved every book, I was absolutely on board to buy it when it came out in a set. To have an extra story as well? Total bonus!
Starting off with Be True, there is the hook for love through surprising circumstances. In a PR stunt businessman Logan hires his tailor Trevor to be a fake boyfriend and public persona assistance. But Logan hasn't acknowledged to himself yet that Trevor has been breaking down walls in his heart in all their time together. Trevor is enjoying their whirlwind fake romance but is surprised to realize how he has held himself back from relationships for fear of being hurt. The two together are a journey of happiness and heartbreak that will have you hanging on until that very last word!
Moving on to the interconnected Be Mine, we meet Kelly, creator of the app that Logan's company is backing. Kelly is the original public face of the campaign but death threats pull him away under close bodyguard supervision. Kelly is distraught as his company is his baby, and with no romantic prospects in his future that is all he has. His bodyguard Jase doesn't care- Jase is just going to make sure Kelly stays alive. Kelly is an unusual romantic cynic. He truly He lives in love, he simply believes he'll never find it. It makes him bitter in some ways, while still holding that hope for all others. Jase is fine with romance, but he doesn't really think a guy will like him after his llosses and it really can't be a client anyway. His hangups are family and loss, which can change with the right circumstances. A sort of second chances/first time story.
Bringing the whole interconnected beauty to a close is Be Loved. The only couple of childhood friends, Brandon and Shane have been best friends forever. They have also been individually in love with each other, but never at the right time. When Kelly's app opens Shane's eyes to the bad relationship he is in, he runs to Brandon for help. But Shane's ex isn't so ready to let go and he will get to Shane even if he has to go through Kelly and Brandon. This story already has the friendship and love between Shane and Brandon, so it is easy for it to become more. However, this story is most fraught with tension as the two are driven apart by Shane's ex with threats of violence. For love to prevail the danger must be removed and there were some very tense moments in this book bringing it all into question. The ending however was just as glorious and capped off an amazing trilogy!
The bonus story, Be Real, was an absolute delight to read! Following Trevor's easy going friend Jose as he uses the bLoved app, Jose meets his perfect match. It just so happens that perfect match is a system glitch as a test by IT consultant Barry for the bLoved app. But when Barry reaches out to apologize a friendship sparks between the two men. With a couple of amusing misunderstandings, the two soon strike up a friendship that is each man's highpoint, and start to think about more. With a fun and cute little story and two guys that get along in the best of ways, with both friendship and passion, this little short made for an awesome bonus!
Be True: Great start to the series. First time book from this author for me and I already bought all her books! That should tell you that this is addicting and amazing! Trevor and Logan are perfect together, both the side and main characters grab your attention. Great story filled with sweet moments, you'll laugh and tear up in the best way.
Be Mine: Kelly and Jase kept me laughing all the way to the end. They're some twist and turns that will keep you up all night trying to finish the book in one sitting.
Be Loved: Awesome add to the series. Brandon and Shane are adorable, this book ties the end of the plot we hear about from book one. We get meet new side characters that I can't get enough of.
Be Real: Amazing add to the series, couldn't put it down.
I am a big fan of Stella Starling. I have bought and read all of her books. This price is a steal for this series and to get a bonus novella with the purchase is more than icing on the cake, it's nuts and cherries too. Each character and all of the supporting characters are well thought out and supportive to the interesting storylines. All of the emotions are covered and you will lay the book down at then end with a feeling of warm satisfaction. I am disappointed that I won't get to read the novella but I hope everyone who buys this bundle is properly appreciative of the bonus content from this very talented writer.
I love this collection. The authors do such a great job with developing all their characters. The plot lines are riveting and the love stories have that lovely slow burn quality and when there is a live scene it really delivers. Just bought the next book previewed at the end of this story because I have to know what happens between Jake and Gabe.
Fate works in many mysterious ways. Sometimes it's a friend offering a helping hand or giving you that push when you feel you're not worthy or think you're not ready. I want to read more stories like this.
This is my rating for Be Real, the novella included in this bundle and then rate the other books included as separate books to keep them all straight in the case that I decide to do a re-read.
