Mustered to the Grinder one afternoon, she’s chosen for an exercise. Partnered with a rugged but handsome Navy SEAL. They’re hustled to Warner Springs where Special Forces conduct S.E.R.E. training. Fifteen couples will be tested in Skirt’s Down. Sloane and Damon are promised a seven-day vacation in Club Hell. Caged. Hunted. General Northcott, the man in charge, has an ulterior motive. Driven to prove a point and enact revenge. What’s at stake? Everything! When Ghost receives a call from Sloane screaming, “Delta it’s for Romeo.” The retired admiral knows his daughter is in danger of paying the price for his sins. How can I put into words how much I love a book when it’s my most anticipated read of the year and it exceeded my expectations. No matter what I say I know I won’t be giving this book the review it deserves but here goes.

In War of Stones we have Sloanes story. She is the daughter of Thane and Kayla who’s stories we’ve read about earlier in the series. She’s got the courage and strength of both parents and she will need that soon enough when she is partnered with Lieutenant Damon stone.

Let me just say I was mentally high fiving the author because I was super excited to read more of Thane (my man in case you haven’t realised yet) , Kayla and the rest of the team.

This is an amazing series and includes my one and only book boyfriend Thane.
I read a lot of books and I’ve got to say this is my favourite series ever. Each book I read in the series gives me goosebumps, the feels, the emotions, for me this series has it all. I’m in awe of an author that can make me feel the way these books do.

I’ve been told this book can be read as a standalone but don’t do it. Go read book one-Ghost. (Just remember he’s mine). You will meet an extraordinary team of Navy Seals. These men are loyal, strong courageous and will fight for what they believe in. You will then want to read the whole series.

I’m really looking forward to taking time out soon to re read the whole series. This is a series that will stay with me forever.

Dark, pulse pounding action! Code Name: War of Stones, the last (maybe) book in the Warriors Challenge series grabs you by the ovaries (since we don't have balls) an squeezes hard. Put away the coffee and grab a glass of wine (maybe a whole bottle) because you'll need something to calm your nerves. Block off enough time to read it cover to cover, or you'll be cursing Ms. Waters in the morning like I am today, bleary eyed and hungover from lack of sleep, because you aren't putting this book down until you turn the last page. Pesky kids want to eat? point them to the peanut butter and bread. Phone rings? Leave a message, I'll get back to you after I get out of hell with Damon and Sloane.
Sloane is heroine like no other- strong, brave, determined, sassy; with a never say die attitude, even when death is knocking at her door in his haunting hood, scythe aimed at her neck.
Damon Stone is a panty melting hero. The epitome of a seasoned warrior; protective, intelligent, and deadly.
War of Stones takes you to another level of suspense- drawing you into the story so thoroughly your skin crawls, your adrenaline surges, you swell with pride and cry bitter tears.
This is the MUST READ novel of the year. Whether you've followed the series from the beginning or are joining the teams for the first time, it is an experience you will never forget.

No one does edge-of-your-seat military romance like Waters. Smart, tension-filled writing with multiple layers and sub-plots. It was an excellent read from the first chapters--I couldn't put it down!

It's been a day and a half since I read the last page of one of my most highly anticipated books from one of my most favorite authors ever, and the book hangover is still gripping me with a SEAL-like determination. I am struggling to find the right words to express just how PERFECT this book is with all the emotions, the story, the adventure, the people (aka characters who I'm convinced are real), everything.

Sloan is the daughter of a SEAL legend and has embodied the best of both of her parents. She's tough, stubborn, hilarious, and brave, all wrapped around a soft spot.

Damon owns and breathes the heart of a warrior and everything that encompasses. I definitely would want him to have my six and my 12 and any other direction every and any time.

I loved everything in this story from catching up with Alpha team, seeing how the families have grown up, experiencing the intense terrifying roller-coaster of a ride of Operation Skirt's Down (truly a sadistic and heinous mission). And then getting to feel all the good, sweet moments wrap all around it, making the heart-wrenching moments all the more worth it for the treasure you get at the end.

I'm thinking this book has become my favorite of the series, but then when I look at any of the previous 6 books, they all are worthy of that title as well. You cannot go wrong by reading and experiencing the adventure and happily-ever-afters Natasza Waters share in her stories.

From the first book in A Warrior’s Challenge Series by Natasza Water, I have anxiously awaited the next release. Code Name: War of Stones was different, I was not ready to face that it is the last book of the series. Once it was released I emerged myself in the world of the Alpha Squad and their families. In this book, all of the characters make an appearance, no one is left behind.
This book walks you straight into Seaman Sloane Austen’s life. As the daughter of the legendary SEAL, retired Admiral Thane “Ghost” Austen and her mother Kayla “Snow White”. With that DNA running through her veins there is no surprise that she not only has the tenacity and determination and will of her father but also the fire and spirit & sass of her mother.
She meets Lt. Damon Stone, a SEAL, now instructor, who like her father as paved his own path into legendary status. They are unbeknownst forced into participating in an “exercise” that has them learning to use their skills and personality traits to pull them through to survive.
As in every book in this series, it’s a “can’t put the book down, page turner” Natasza Waters has a real knack at keeping you involved heart racing. She never skimps on the romance, you will adore these two.

This book has all the feels

What a book to go with this series. In this book we meet Ghosts daughter Sloane. And in every way she is as much her father's daughter as she is her mother's daughter. You can read as a stand alone beware you will want to read the rest of the books in series. 5 star's are not enough

I was all set to hate this book, honestly. I am not a huge fan of a series that is established then jumping ahead to the lives of the kids. I wasn't sure how I was going to like it but I loved the other books in the series so had to give it a go. I am so glad I did.

This book has you on the edge of your seat. I had to turn off my Nook at one point because I was so angry. I was so angry that these characters were going through this (then I had to remind myself they weren't real lol). It was a believable storyline with visits from past friends and new ones that I can't wait to get to know better.

I love this series and this book fits right in with the rest of them.
This book has it all, tears, bite-your nails, keep you on the edge of your seat read. It will keep you turning the pages and racing towards the dramatic finale.
Sloane and Damon face hell and then some. What Sloane goes through, all I can say reader beware. She is strong, full of courage, and the love of her family, she is able to persevere and endures and comes out the winner.....
Don't start reading it late in the day because you might lose out on some sleep, this story will reel you in and keep you hooked until the end.
I hope we get Adams story too.

Awsome

Could not put this book down. Every page keeps you sitting on the edge of your seat. I lost a lot of sleep because I Could not stop reading. loved that we reconnected with friends and family members from the other books in this series. I hate that this could be the last book about these strong patriotic and loving people. I do hope there could be an Adam and Kelsey story???
I strongly suggest if you have not read the other books in this series do so, your in for some great story telling.

Not for the faint of heart

This was brutal but everything I love about this series. Nothing is off limits, and so much happens. Sloane was everything her father and mother represent. She was a true warrior. Damon was likely the only guy on the planet who could have been worthy of her. Typically, the guy is referred to as the hero in a romantic suspense, but in this story, Sloane was by far the hero. I couldn't put it down, and I can't wait for Adam's story.

Take place in the future. I give the author credit for trying to avoid futuristic items. ie phones, weapons and any other futuristic technology. I was happy to get updates on the main character in the series. I feel she jumped way too far, since I felt the Team could have had other stories and adventures told. However, the heroine was pretty independent as I fell for her love interest. The story even seemed pretty believable.

Another Awesome book

Why am I not surprised that this series only keeps getting better. Sad to see it come to an end. I read this book in one day bcause I couldn't put it down. Please read this book along with the others and you'll appreciate our military that much more.
This book is a tear jerker so have a glass of wine and plenty of tissue handy.

I loved all the other books in this series, but this one was a big let down. The plot concept seemed so far-fetched that I found myself thinking, "Seriously?!". The only couple dynamic that sparked any interest was Adam and Kelsey, and that wasn't even that great. Nothing new happening with the older generation SEALS. They just grew into old married couples. zzzzz
