Not her best work
Ive read this author's work before. That's why I was surprised at this book. The premise was great. I loved the theme of forgiveness and not being defined by our past. That wasn't why I gave it a 3 star rating. This rating is due to lack of follow up information.......
Going in, I knew this was a series. Cool. I've read series under her other name: M. Renee Allen. What I loved about them is that they didn't, necessary, end in a cliffhanger. If characters were introduced, you got the follow up. If there was a certain premise, you knew why. This book fell completely short, for me. There were premonitions mentioned that alluded to imminent danger and a threat to society ..... repetitiously yet nothing more. Just jumped back to the love interests. Then, there was a friend who was mated to a Dragon. She was mentioned as a fleeting thought at the end of the book. I hate to give spoilers but, it was kind of hard not to do so, as this helps my point be effective.
I'll still read from this author but, not this series.
