This is a slim book with an evidence-based look into the various factors causing this "tragedy of the commons" which can have potentially devastating repercussions. Can be a good text book for people who are new to the field, as it takes a comprehensive look at the issue but still manages to explain the topic in a simple and readable manner.
I'd have liked if the book also offered a systematic and comprehensive analysis of the solutions that are emerging for changing behaviors on a society-wide
