"One: Rage Vengeance Murder (A Path of Deception and Betrayal Book 3)" didn't really do it for me sorry.
Not only did I find it difficult to connect with the characters it also had issues keeping my focus.
I think my main issue here was this was not quite what I was expecting from the initial blurb.
I don't think I initially anticipated how heavily this leaned towards the thriller genre.
I was kinda expecting; well I'm not really sure but it wasn't quite this.
I think I imagined that Azar was going t

The final installment in the series.
Sequel to the 2nd book with main characters from the 1st one, but previous villains. Doesn’t make any sense? Lol. But it is how it is.

Intelligent written. The author definitely went OTT with this story, but the overall schemes were plausible. She definitely knows the topic, respect!

Intense, party dragged on, funny thanks to Aunt Mary, semi-dark.

The ending was confusing. I suspected from the beginning there would not be any ‘world-piece-sunshine-and-epic-love’

He ran an organ harvesting/trafficking ring.
The charge of attempted murder was dismissed.

After having blown through and really enjoyed the first two books in KJ McGillick's series, A Path of Deception and Betrayal, I could not wait to get my hands on the final installment, One: Rage Vengeance Murder. In the final book, I was anxious to see how all of the pieces and parts, and blended story lines of the first two books came to conclusion in the third book. I had so many questions that I needed answers to.

Straight up, I really enjoyed this book. It was fast paced and full of plot twi

This review is going to be short & sweet, as I'm not giving any details, because 1. it's Book 3 in A Path of Deception and Betrayal series, 2. part of it's title is Rage Vengeance Murder, and 3. no spoiler douchery from me & my questions answered mind. Cool?! Thought so. K.J. McGillick is very very good at weaving some serious twists & turns that turns on my f-bomb dropping button, almost to the point that I can't get the switch to turn back off. Her talented writing style is very addictive as i ...more

Famine, crops failing, disease and market crashing. Is this just a conspiracy theorist wet dream or is there a deeper issue here? There is a boatload of action and if you are into economics and such there's loads of terms to get your inner geek on. There's also an amazing twisty turny dark and crazy story going on which will keep you turning pages and trying to figure out what will happen next. This author did the switching point of view very well and forced you to slow down and enjoy the tortur ...more

Reviewing on behalf of Amo's Book Corner.

Wow! What an amazing story! Full of revenge and intent on destroying anyone and anything in their paths, both Azar Abed and Dr. Armond are determined to follow through in their plans and get revenge for what has happened to them previously. They are not working together, however, and would love nothing more than to see the other dead. Plots of destruction and mass death on a worldwide level, One is certainly a fantastic end to this series.

This is the 4th book I've read written by K.J. McGillick; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.

Greed and consequences

The plot thickens, twists and turns a plenty. The ending was not at all what I had anticipated. Love Mary!

This is the third book in the Path of Deception and Betrayal series and I am thrilled that my favorite spunky character, Mary, from Book 1, has returned.

Azar Abed is a sociopath who wants revenge on Dr. Adrien Armond who was hired to remove her kidney without her permission to save her now-deceased psychopathic father.  However, Azar's revenge goes beyond payback for the kidney (which was returned). She plans to destroy everyone who hurt her in the past. That plan includes "financial Armageddon"

One is the riveting conclusion to a three-part series that took my breath away with all its twists and turns. Different than Two in that there is not an innocent victim to worry over and want to see justice for, One is not short on suspense and intrigue.

Favorite character: Mary
Mary is delightful - always cheerful with a knack of being at the right place at the right time. She is an older woman who is studying for her PI license and has solved some international cases occurring during the stories

What a brilliant finale this proved to be! I suspect it could be read as a standalone but I had really enjoyed the earlier two books in this series and was intrigued to discover just how this series would conclude. It is an action packed story, fraught with danger, double dealing and, if the revenge filled plot is successful, it could be the end of so many . . . . biological and financial warfare where humanity is the enemy and no military forces will be firing the weapons. The current worries o ...more

I really dig stories all about revenge. KJ McGillick kills these story lines, pun totally intended. I will say this isn’t my favorite of the series but it was still layed out really well. Ms. McGillick creates some really dark and devious story lines. I loved how this book really wrapped everything up with a nice bow and thank goodness, because I needed this ending! My main issue with the book would be how I constantly felt like I was having things explained to me. The meeting with expert consu ...more

I LOVE THIS SERIES. I LOVE K.J. MCGILLICK. GO READ THSES BOOKS. FIVE STARS. THE END.

…okay, I’ll actually review the book, but you really should pick this series up. One is the conclusion of the Path of Betrayl and Deception series…and what a conclusion! It wraps up all the twists and turns, but don’t worry, it has it’s own suspense!

This is one of those books you start when you have time to read the entire thing. I could not put it down. K.J. McGillick is a fantastic writer who knows how to grip

I am always happy to read a book written by K.J McGillick. I have read and reviewed a number of her books:

Facing A Twisted Judgement

Karma Never Loses An Address

Duality

Trust Me

Three

Two

This is the conclusion to the A Path of Deception and Betrayal Series, and is a great addition to the first two books. It tidies up all the loose ends.

Moving at the same great pace, all the plots come to a satisfying conclusion. I love K. J. McGillick’s style of writing, which is why I have read so many of her books

“days I will report back to you that I have accomplished what I set out to do. Now I must go. My plane is on time, a miracle in Rome.” I sat waiting for his approval and dismissal. He studied me as if he were a human lie detector. Satisfied, he let me rise and walk toward the door unimpeded. Finally, a clean escape was in sight. As he escorted me down the long marble hall floor to the door he said, “Enzo is waiting in the car and will accompany you. It’s not that I don’t trust you, he is there to keep you focused and aid your plan.” 0 likes
