EDITORIAL REVIEW: This very special and unique book was created from the heart of Lisa Samia, who loves American History. I love that each poem is spoken from an imagined person, someone witnessing an event or important moment. My favorite is about President Lincoln, seeing the deep latent sadness that was so often noted in his face. It was an honor to edit and prepare each poem, essay, and help her choose the photos that bring so much life to her heart-rending poetry.
