Shea Ellis doesn't have time for love -- all the Boston Brawlers captain wants is one last shot at the Cup before he retires. Besides, after his ex-wife did him dirty, the single dad isn't sure if he could love again. Hell, he'd be happy just to find a decent nanny to help with his three kids.

Sure, the latest nanny to get a try-out, Brynn, is a babe. But the hottest thing

I liked everything about this book but the sex scenes, which I eventually began simply skimming. The raunchy and unromantic way they are written is, to me anyway, jarringly out of place with the tone of the rest of the book, which has the warm and cozy feel of a classic Harlequin American, family-centered, short-contemporary romance. I particularly enjoyed that the heroine builds a deep and true friendship with the hero before they have sex, making it what one might call a "slow-burn" romance. A ...more

Oh this guy Shea , I’ve been sold on him from book one.
Wasn’t completely convinced that Brynn didn’t still need therapy but I’ll take it.

The kids I adore. Want to run over the ex though lol 😂
Brilliant end to this series.

book three can be read as stand alone.
Cute story of a single dad at the end of his hockey carreer. He has his hands full with a 14 yr old daughter and 10 yr old twin boys. He is in desperate need of a nanny. when he finds Brynn is a little hesitant. His past nannies were older. Brynn is young and hot. The attraction gets the best of them. However, there are kids to keep in mind and they need to keep things under wraps. The story has sexual tension, a hot hockey dad, cute kids and good sports re

**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This is the second book that i have read by this author and it is another brilliantly written book.

Shea Ellis is a veteran Hockey player and he is fast approaching his chosen retirement at the age of 37. A string of failed nannies has him putting out a notice again, only to get Brynn as the only suitable applicant.

Both characters have been hurt in the past and they have an instant attraction to each other that keep
This story was so damned sweet! When I was kindly given a copy in exchange for my voluntary review (via Hidden Gems Books) I was unaware that this was book three in the Boston Brawlers Series. Once I got a few chapters in, I was able to figure out that there was some story that came before this, but it had no impact on my enjoyment or understanding of this tale.
I'm a sucker for a good sports romance. Add in the single parent aspect and the taboo nanny trope and this was already looking good. But
I’ve read sports books recently where Soccer was the sport, where Rugby was the sport and now here hockey is the pro sport. This is the third book in the series and I enjoyed it just as much as the first 2.

Shea Ellis is the captain of the Boston Brawlers hockey team. He is at the end of his career and wants his team to win the Stanley Cup before he retires. Things are looking good for the team but not so good on the home front. He’s a divorced father with primary custody of his almost teenage da
Low drama and sweet characters in this book from new-to-me author June Winters. It made me smile and I liked that the heroine didn't settle for less than she deserves and stood her ground. I'll definitely read more books from this author.

I received an ARC with no obligation to leave my honest review.
This is the first book that I have read by this author and while it seems to be the 3rd book in a series I found it easy to follow along with. There was some good character development and it was told in the first person POV which isn't my usual preference but it was ok.
I've only just started reading more sport romances and I liked how much Hockey was in this one, you get a bit of a look at some games and how all the team members int

Highly Recommend!

I loved this story about Brynn Conley, a nanny and Shea Ellis, Captain of the Boston Brawlers and his daughter Chloe and twin sons Cam and Nick. Nothing like a younger woman/slightly older man and a romance with ice to pique my interest, especially when it is as well written as this book. Brynn’s employer is laid off work unexpectedly so she loses her job. The nanny that Shea has had for his willful children hasn’t been enthused about disciplining them, so they mutually agree it

I like a single dad book but anyone that knows me at all here on GR knows I really like hockey romances. I have no idea why since I know nothing about hockey, but the hockey players in pretty much all hockey romances sound wonderful!

Shea Ellis is a seasoned hockey player and doesn't have time for love. All this Boston Brawlers captain wants is one last shot at the Cup before he retires. After an ugly divorce from a cheating wife, this single dad doesn’t think he can love again. All he really ne

I really enjoyed this book. Shea is a man with three young kids at home, who can't seem to hire a nanny worthy of the position. Brynn has just lost her job and accepts the position. As she takes care of his children, secrets are revealed, from both of them, and they have to decide if a relationship is worth it.
He knows it's wrong to have anything to do with the nanny, especially since she has helped his daughter a lot, but he can't stay away. She knows she should stay away, because her heart cou

Okay so this book was cute but a bit too sappy for me which I think might be the general theme with this series (Ice Daddy and Forbidden Puck). I have to say that I really enjoyed the plot, it was different than the rest of the books in the series which I enjoyed. I was glad that this book was back into the first person after the last one being in the third person. Also I thought Shea and Brynn made a cute pair and his kids were really cute

June Winters conquers with CRUSH, the third book in the Boston Brawlers Series. Boston Brawler’s captain, Shea Ellis, needs to find a new nanny, so he can concentrate on winning the Cup before he retires. Brynn Conley doesn’t expect to get a job as a nanny for her childhood crush. Both have full intensions of keeping their relationship professional.

I loved this book. The characters were genuine and likable. Brynn is a wonderful nanny. She typically only took care of babies, but she is a natural

Single dad hockey player and the nanny!

Boston Brawler captain Shea Ellis is getting ready to retire and wants to win the Cup during his last season even though he’s divorced and needs a new nanny for his kids after firing his last one. Brynn Conley needs a new nannying position after the father of her charge lost his job. He hired Brynn because he needed someone right away and she was available.

Crush was very different for me since Shea’s daughter was all for her dad dating Brynn since he hadn’

Mature, hot, alpha, pro athlete & sexy sweetheart = perfect couple

Crush by June Winters is an awesome pro athlete romance. Shea is the perfect (albeit a little damaged) mature alpha who’s a great dad too! What’s not to like??? Brynn is a real sweetheart, with her own baggage, but perfect for this readymade family.
I really like how their relationship unfolded and that Shea took matters into his own hands to make things happen.
Overall, a well written book with multiple interesting characters that

Awesome contemporary sports/hockey romance. Brynn was just recently laid off as a nanny so she finds a new position. During the interview she realizes that Shea is the same player that she had a crush on as a teen. Shea needs a nanny for his 14yo daughter and twin 10yo sons. Brynn takes to the family but from when they first met there was sexual awareness between Shea and Brynn. Chloe doesn't get alone with her mother due to her parents divorce. There is plenty of family dynamics as well as hock ...more

This was a good read for me. This is a first for me from this author, but the writing kept my attention from the start. The writing flowed well, and I thought the characters were developed fully. Even though I haven't read the others in this series, I didn't feel lost at any time. Shea and Brynn are good together, and they have great chemistry. The only thing that got me with this book is it seems like drama was brought up, just to be very easily resolved. It was just a little too easy with ever ...more

This story is beautiful & broken .. watching these two glue their pieces back while helping glue each other is simply remarkable. They both have issues the infolding of the chemistry is sweet. Even pull of Commonsense & Give . The kids being the brakes they need to make sure the chemistry is as hot as they think it is .

Brynn is Simply Charming, delightful & heart of gold .
Shea is absolutely heartwarming charismatic & sexy . A man of

Shea was the stable, mature presence in the background of Radar and Lance’s books. I was so glad to see that he got a book of his own and I love that Brynn knocked some of that stability out from under him. I loved watching the chemistry between the characters, all the characters; Brynn and Shea and all their friends and family. I think that’s my favorite thing about this author’s work. To me it always feels more about the people than just what’s happening. Like the previous book, I’ve got to ad ...more

Cute fast-paced hockey read

I really enjoyed Shea and Brynn’s story. Good writing and characters. The chemistry was great and love scenes super hot (though a word choice or two threw me off). Turley a stand-alone as I haven't read the rest of the series but don't feel lost. Cute, fun, steamy. I'd recommend. One thing that did bother me was he was repeatedly referred to as the athlete, which was overdone and we totally got it way before. I'd recommend, especially for athlete and hockey romance lov

This is my second boom by June Winters, and I really enjoyed it. Sports romance novels are my favourite genre, especially if they are about hockey. There is a little bit of on ice action in this book, but the story is mostly about the romance between Brynne & Shea.
I liked these two together, add in the added complication of Shea being a single Dad, I think the two of them from the start made a great team.
Hopefully there will be more hockey books from June in the future.

This one had me at the title. Two things I'm really devouring right now in books hockey romance and single dads. I just loved this one. To me it had the perfect combination of heat, heart, and humor. You definitely need a cool drink when reading the steamer side of Shea and Brynn. I liked the happiness and the fun Brynn brigs to the Ellis household when she accepts the nanny position. The flow and characters in the books just had me gobbling up this book. I caused a book hangover because I finis ...more

Mhm... unsure about this one.

Everything was a bit too picture perfect. The kids immediately took a liking to the babysitter, adored her from the moment they met her (the moody teen and the twins).

The writing style didn't convince me either. Too much telling and not enough showing.

The plot was a rather common one. Famous hockey player with past issues (wife only wanted him for his colleagues) falls in love with babysitter. He has just started his last season, planning to win the cup. all in

I read an ARC copy of this.

I love reading these books. I'm a sucker for a hockey romance. I really liked Brynn. I thought that she was a great fit for helping with his kids. She was able to use her own experiences to help them better themselves. My only complaint (not really an actual complaint) is the team they beat in the end was my actual favorite team. Other than that this was another great read by this author.

Shea Ellis is a hot, hockey dad!! I loved how he put his children first, and that he learned and changed from his past mistakes! Brynn was so easy to like and sympathize with. I loved that slow burn between them before they gave into their desire. Cynthia was a real piece of work! TOXIC!! When Shea tells Brynn about the twins, my heart melted! Total class act!

Two damaged people from different circumstances meet – one a retiring hockey player, with a teen daughter and twin boys, and the other a newly fired nanny.
The couple tried to make things work, but their passion may just destroy the harmony between all the characters.

I loved this sweet, funny, sexy romance. The book blurb gives an accurate description of the story so I'm just going to say I loved the characters, the writing is great and the story is well-written. Crush is a romantic, heartwarming story and I can't wait to read more by this author. 4.5 stars.
