Beautifully written for multiple perspectives. Bitner shares insight to how the grieving feels with unimaginable depth and clarity. In doing so, she lets those readers, who at some point in time will no doubt find themselves as support for someone who grieves, know what they might encounter and how to respond. I was incredibly moved by the author’s account of dealing with unexpected and devastating loss. How does one pick up the pieces in the aftermath of tragedy and find personal healing while helping one’s children do the same? This book shows how it’s done.
