For the past four years, I’ve kept a tightly guarded secret. I want a man to take control.

There are three reasons why I decide to go to Dom Prescott’s hotel room that night. First is the dominant way he glares at me in the bar. Second is the room number scribbled on his cocktail napkin with the word “come”. Last, but perhaps most important, is the assumption that m

Loved the blurb. Loved the beginning. Initially great chemistry, build-up and anticipation. And then at the pivotal moment; scene fade to black.

Cheated out of the promise of the blurb, I hoped this was a deliberate strategic move on the part of the author. But as the story progressed the reader is forever kept guessing what happened between the pair. All we get is the MCs thinking a lot about "it". Even the flashbacks fail to provide any details. And that sums up the rest of the book; a lot of

I thought this was going to be a D/s book - started off with a promising opening scene and then slowly morphed into a low angst romance. The story was ok but it wasn’t what I was hoping for

So according to the blurb this had some of my favourite tropes - a dominant boss, a submissive new employee, a forbidden secret office romance - it's like this was written specially for me! 🤤😍

HOWEVER reading this was as much fun as watching paint dry. IT WAS BLAND AF. 😪 The characters lacked the steamy chemistry that the blurb promised and I failed to connect with either one of the MCs. Read as much as I could before having to stop due to sheer boredom. 😔

Did not really care for this one at all. The story was kind of disjointed.

3.5 stars - This was a really sweet story about Sean, freshly graduated from college, wanting to celebrate by finding exactly what he’s always wanted in a guy. Before he has a chance to make use of the hookup app, he meets Dom, an older guy who seems to be exactly what Sean is looking for. They share an amazing night, but then each go back to their lives.

Fast forward a few weeks and Sean is starting a new job at his father’s company where he finds out his new mentor is none other than Dom, the m

First off, let's start with that sexy, amazing COVER!!! Hot damn. Very sexy.
Second, the book starts off with a hot and explosive meeting between Sean (a young recent grad) and Dom (an older, settled working man). There is very little said between them, but not much words were needed to have such an engaging and intense hook up. Neither thought they would ever see the other again.

Flash forward a week when Sean shows up at the office to work at his father's marketing firm, and Dom is one of his da

Dom by author Jason Collins is an intense read that I loved and wanted more of. This explores the D/S side of BDSM. It is not hardcore at all it is very light. It adds another dimension to this book. I liked how the trust builds with that throw in.
Sean wants a man to dominate him. He feels though he cannot take the chance, so he wants to do it on the down low. He feels he has to live up to what others want for him rather than what he wants for himself.
I liked how he grew in this book. Dom teache

I liked this story but it was just missing something for me to give it that extra star or two. The characters were cute together. I love the cliche of one night stand coming back to haunt you at work etc and this definitely did deliver that. I do, however, think that Dominick wasn’t dominating enough. I know Collins declared it wasn’t a BDSM novel but it still needed that edge to make it believable that Dominick was the dominant and aggressive lover

Sean is out celebrating with his college grad friends when he meets a mysterious man who leaves his hotel room # on a bar napkin and one word, “come”. Woah. If that doesn’t set the tone, lol......So what do you think Sean does? Ummm, yeah. This story was a fast and fun delight to read. There was some heat that wasn’t over the top and I appreciated that because it also makes a social statement that added some seriousness to it. All in all I enjoyed it.

Ok read

This was an okay story did not like or dislike it. The characters seem okay but at the same time it felt as if something was missing. This could just be me. But overall it's a quick fairly predictable story.

It was ok

The characters and story were ok but just ok. There wasn't really any sizzle and it was a little boring. Not bad enough to not finish, but just a little bleh. The cover and synopsis didn't match the story much.

Not my cup of tea

This book for me was alright. There was just enough back story to make the characters feel real, but everything seemed so rushed. I like the concept, but the execution for me was lacking

I downloaded a sample of this and really liked the first chapters that were in the sample, however when I bought the book, I felt like it built up for this awesome climax and then just kind of sat there. I felt like this book would have benefited from being longer, or something. I felt like there was no resolution after what was supposed to be the climax, we never got to learn anything about the characters beyond the surface level and the fact that one is a dom and the other is a sub. So, I have ...more

I should have known that if the first scene was the equivalent of almost reaching a climax and then throwing a bucket full of ice and water. So that should have clued me in that this was not for me.

But persistent me kept on going. Because after such an amazing start it had to have something. This characters had no depth. They never get to know each other. The author did a poor job of depicting the marketing industry. How and I w
Everything started out pretty well – great cover, great blurb, and great beginning to the story. But then, it just kind of fizzled for me. The initial hookup had me dumbstruck when, after much anticipation, it faded to black. Beyond that point, I had a hard time feeling the connection between the characters and really had to push myself to get all the way through this one. Okay, but not really one I’d recommend.

Left a little disappointed.

With the title I was expecting a strong dom, I get it's his name , but still. He was strong at times, but not like I guess I wanted.... I kept hoping for more but was left disappointed.

2.5stars rounded up

The first 30% was great! Hot, tense and steamy... I loved the Dom/Sean dynamic. Then it started to slide, personality traits changed or disappeared and not as part of the relationship development... Then I didn't love the Dom/Sean dynamic.

This is one older man/younger man story with some BDSM thrown into the mix. Sean is a recent college graduate living in a small town who has been mostly celibate for the past four years. Dom is an older man who is visiting the small town on business. After somewhat of a challenging day, Dom goes to a bar and sees Sean. Although Sean is somewhat shy, all it takes is a few looks and they are hooked; a one-night stand follows and neither one thinks he will see the other again. One week lat

Mix steamy, complicated and engaging together and it makes a fun read! I liked this story, it was well written and had some unexpected twists and turns that kept me reading and enjoying. This book also takes on a hard subject matter in business and it deals with integrity vs. closing the deal. Great food for thought with a fun romance to make it enjoyable!

Sean and Dom developed a connection that was honest and compelling for them. Both had to learn to communicate and i loved how they found thei

👬💕🔥Enjoyable hookup turned romance in an 💻office setting. I wish the story had spent a bit more time providing backstory, especially for Dom. But I liked that the power dynamic in their relationship morphed as their emotional connection strengthened. The story's focus stayed with couple Dom and Sean to the exclusion of any secondary story lines, but the story moved pretty qui

Dom is a marketing executive who seems to always get what and who he wants. One night he has his eyes set on a recent college graduate, Sean.

Before Sean heads back to NYC where he can be open and free he wants to give into desire and the demanding presence of Dom.

They do.

I enjoyed the strong beginning of this story. The promise of so much between Dom and Sean, especially when Sean shows up and work and Dom is supposed to show him the ropes. From there the story didn't do much to gain my intere

This story quickly drew me and kept reading until the final page was turned. The author knows how to make the reader feel a part of the story. The story is told from alternating points of view, this is done very well and works with this story. I liked the characters, they are strong, stubborn, and believable. I was rooting for them to get together and was beginning to wonder if it would happen. This is a great story.

Sean meets a guy in a hotel bar on the night he graduates. They spend an amazing night together and the guy goes home and Sean prepares to move to New York to work for his dad's company. When he starts work, he is told he will be mentored by Dominick, who happens to be the one-night stand that got away. As they try to navigate a work relationship, it becomes clear very quickly that they can't just be coworkers. The chemistry is great between these guys until Dominick severely disappoints Sean an ...more

This was my first Jason Collins book and I absolutely loved it, definitely not my last. The story was great and full of sexual tension, I couldn't put it down.

This is the story of Dom and Sean. A Marketing Executive and a university graduate that first meet the night of Sean's graduation, after a memorable night together they go their own ways. This is until a week later when Dom is preparing to take the owner of the firm's son under his wing on his first day at work. The son turned out to be Se

I loved the story, but..

I loved Dom and Sean's characters, and I loved their story. I thought they were fairly well developed and the push/pull was nice, too. While Sean is submissive, he is not at pushover and while Dom is dominant, he is not opposed to controlling every aspect of Sean or Sean's life.

While I enjoyed the story, I felt the author could have delved deeper into the characters' personalities and their were several spots the author could have expanded on, so the story could have been

Awesome read. First time author for me and I am definitely hooked. Sexy chemistry and a connection you can't get enough of. This story kept my interest from the beginning, twist and turns that kept me guessing. This felt honest and romantic with a realistic story. Each character has their own point of view and you different. Only thing I wanted was to have more of it, and that is never a bad thing. Can't wait for the next. A sweet romance

This is probably what you could term a May to December romance. Sean has just graduated college, whereas Dom is established in his work, but the age gap is not emphasised. Instead it is the dynamic of more dominant to more submissive which is focused on.
I enjoyed the story, the characters were fun and Sean's switches from confident to nervous and only heightened his youth.
A gentle, low angst take which can be read in about 90 minutes
