Try as I might, I could not make this book go down. If you're the author, please just don't read the review. I don't want to make you feel bad. Not my intention at all. This is going to be a bad review, and because it makes me feel the worst emotions to be unkind to someone, I am not sure it's even a quality review at this point. And it's a slightly angry one.

I admit – SoulStroller might just not be for me, because I don't enjoy travel myself, and it seems to be about the concept of spirituality

I love coming along as someone challenges themselves to something they never thought they could do or were always afraid of trying. The author grew up the "baby" of her family and often looked to others for guidance when making decisions, both big and small. The book opens as her son disappears then reappears after an overdose. This seems to spark the author to look at her life and make some major changes. She begins travelling and making her own decisions and we get to come along on her path of ...more

I thoroughly recommend Kayce's new book. She brings to life her struggles, fears, triumphs, and most of all, her joyous outlook as she faces everything life sends her way. Kayce inspires her readers to face the challenges in their lives. As she looks deeply into her self, we are challenged to look also into our own selves.

Kayce bravely looks at her past, her present, and chooses to create moments and a future that she loves. SoulStrolling brings forth more than initially imagined possible. Kayce

Of course, I loved this book and related to it ... I'm the author :) Feedback from recent readers is that they find themselves on these pages—as baby of their family, Paris lover, world traveler, shy one seeking a stronger voice, relative to an addict, late bloomer, early riser, salty, spiritual, sassy ... the list goes on. "Harrowing and delightful." SoulStroller's invitation is to find your personal YES in a world that shouts NO. I invite you to come along for the journey.

“The intangible is where we come alive and find our strongest voices” For me that is exactly what this book about. Finding your voice and learning to enjoy life. I’ve earmarked so many passages throughout the book this is the one that spoke to me the loudest. Read the book and then do a little Soulstrolling of your own.

I prefer to read novels in the summer and non-fiction/memoirs in winter.
I prefer writing with a fountain pen over computer keyboards.
I prefer summer in Seattle over winter almost anywhere.
I prefer Paris over Rome. Big dogs over small. Fluffy cats over sleek.

I abhor that the world is filled with suffering, and I know affliction has helped create the individual I am today.
I love music of all kinds
