I was gifted my copy of this book, direct from the author, that I write a review was not required.

You know how you love a particular author, all their books are mostly 5 stars reviews, and then one comes along that throws you for a loop, and you did not love it, but you cannot figure out why?? This one, right here.

Simon is in Canada to see just what has happened to his money, and more importantly, his friend. His hook-up provides him with some much needed relief. When said hook-up turns out to b
Will consolidate my updates and will post thoughts here soon!! But the author ruined this book for me with a few stupid and ridiculous plot moves/twists!!

3.5 Stars I was intrigued with the premise of a British aristocrat and a Canadian Mountie meeting via a hookup and found this to be an entertaining romantic suspense story. I enjoyed the characters; Simon a British Lord, has the benefits of a wealthy man but is quite down to earth and considerate, treating employees more like friends. He was also the king of one-night stands, not ready to settle for one man. Nick was presented as a dedicated career cop, always putting his job ahead of relationsh ...more

Well, this was different, in a very good way. I love the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and so I jumped on this one as soon as I’d seen that Nick was a mountie. Add in a British aristocrat and I was puddy in your hands before I’d even opened the first page. This story has a bit more than just a budding romance. It is violent, there is mystery and intrigue, and there is the class difference between our protagonists.

Nick is a mountie for the RCMP. He’s a larger guy with sub

Sexy men, romance and suspense.

I loved how different the characters were, an ex-military man who is now a Mountie and a British Earl! I connected with both of the characthers,

The story had some steamy scenes, the characthers know how to let off steam. There is suspense angle to the story and keeps the pages turning,

I enjoyed this book and characthers.

The Novel Approach Reviews
~ 4.5 Stars ~

Soul of Discretion is the first collaboration between these two authors, and I hope it isn’t the last. Mac Nicol’s edgier side is complemented well by Tasia’s more romantic approach to writing, and the end result just works. Is it a police procedural or a mystery? No. It is, at its heart, a romance, and as such takes some liberties on the investigative side of the storyline. You can see where Mac Nicol’s additions ground the story when it seems to skew from probability, and provide

**Copy provided to Bayou Book Junkie for my reading pleasure in hopes of an unbiased opinion, a review was not a requirement.**

Simon was a character that I really liked, but in some ways didn’t. He’s a wealthy man, has a title, has great friends and never acts like he’s better than anyone else. But, he’s also a man who only does one-night hook-ups and his response and the way he talked to someone interested in a second night showed him as a jerk. It doesn’t matter his position, he’s very involve

Again, Ms. MacNicol can formulate a story line like no one else. With all the new entries coming out for release, this was a fun premise! This would tweak interest by its blurb to any one who wants a fun read; “what happens when an Earl meets a Canad

Soul of Discretion is written by both Susan Mac Nicol and M. Tasia. Ms Mac Nicol's work I have read and enjoyed before, but I think Ms Tasia's work is new to me.

In a nutshell, this story is about a man finding out his friend has been stealing from him, so he goes to confront him. Things take a darker turn when his friend is murdered, and it looks like the mob is involved. On a lighter note, the one night stand turns out to be a repeat, and in the RCMP.

I really liked this story. It has enough twi

4.5 stars.🌟 A great combination story from two fantastic authors. Simon and Nick are great together in this story. I loved the chemistry these two had and the storyline was great. Includes sexy scenes and a drama which enfolds from Jack which had me intrigued what happened.
Simon 35 yrs had an app for a gay dates site also he had a Company in Canada which was in trouble he'd need to investigate. Simon has a title which he hates being called Lord one way to definitely get on his bad side lol.

Oh man I loved this story. I’m like Nick, a man with a British accent is just something plus Nick is Canadian, so that was a guarantee for me. I definitely felt that the Canadian content was pretty accurate, so that made me happy too. I love reading books set in my country and this was a great one. It was super hot and sexy and there was a mystery as well. I loved the dynamics between Nick and Simon and could have read so much more of their story. I thought all of the secondary characters were i ...more

What a fantastic story this was.
I've read books by both authors before and was intrigued to see how this book would turn out.
These authors definitely complimented each others writing style and the flow was so smooth.
Simon & Nick were both really strong, well written characters and both charming, too.
Without giving any spoilers away I'll say this ~ This story had suspense, angst, romance and hot sexy scenes all through out the story. I loved how neither chara

A steamy connection with an intriguing story-line creates the basis for a wonderful story. I love these authors work, their writing style flows so beautifully and you as the reader fall into the story as it unfolds. The characters are well developed and the supporting cast had some great jewels. I just loved Peter and Steph!

Simon and Nick felt really authentic to me, i enjoyed their banter, they comradely and their ability to team up to solve the case was fun. i liked how these two men found th

4.5 stars - I could tell this wasn't just a Susan Mac Nicol book. That's not a bad thing; it's just what it is. That said, I really loved Simon - so bossy and controlled while caring against his will almost - and Nick - so masculine and upright while still vulnerable emotionally. They make a great couple, clicking right away, enough to break Simon's rule of no repeats. The case they end up embroiled in ends up hitting very close to home for both of them. The action and the loving both kept my in ...more

I loved the cockiness of Simon and the honesty of Nick. This is a quick-to-love story that kept me turning pages. The danger surrounding both helped push them together, but their pasts and presents threatened to keep them apart. This was an enjoyable read.

I received a copy of this story as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.

What happens when a Mountie meets an Earl? You get to smile while reading, fan yourself imagining the sexy scenes, hold your breath to read what happens next, then smile some more!

I’m not going to lie, I’m not a fan of that cover. Had I seen the cover before requesting the book, I might have given it a miss. And that would have been a damn shame, because this story was pretty bloody awesome.

Simon, aka the Earl of Stoneham, is a big old man-ho. So much so that he created his very own hookup app – crUIzer. He never sleeps with his hookups and he never fucks the same man twice. Being too nice just gives guys the wrong idea. When Simon discovers that his best friend
