This book is the sequel to another book that was published 15 years ago. The highly popular 90 Minutes in Heaven told the story of a horrific accident and the fact that the author died in that accident but came back to life on earth.

This book is a opportunity for the author to answer many questions that were asked by his readers and followers. But it also delves into a never before talked about portion of his trip to heaven. That is speaking about the people that he met as he walked up to the gates of heaven.

I have not read the first book but even so the description of what occurred in some of the results of his last book are included in this are simply phenomenal. There are many times I would read and tears would be rolling down my face.

I think the fact is that we all have someone were missing dearly in our life and we want to know what happened to them. Are we destined for heaven? How do we know we’re going to heaven? And who will be there to greet us?

Piper tries to answer these questions and so many more in his eloquent manner. Truth of the matter is we have to be a believer in Jesus Christ and be able to share that message with others in order to be welcomed into heaven. We have to believe that Jesus died for us. We have to share that message and bring others to Jesus as well.

The author talks a lot about those people he met in heaven and why they were there to greet him at the gates. He talks about the joy and radiance you can see on their faces as they welcome him. He talks specifically about these people who greeted him and how important they were in his walk to Christianity. That’s why they were at the gate. They were greeting him because they helped with his belief.

The author explains so much and answers so many questions about heaven for the short time that he was there. He talks about why he was sent back to earth to live in a painful and broken body. And he attempts to answer so many other questions.

He talks about the why questions. Why did God take my loved ones? What happens to our bodies in heaven? Do we become angels in heaven? And so many more.

From the main message throughout this incredible story is who is going to be in heaven because of you. That is one question that can actually be kind of scary but yet propel us into action.

This book is an amazing and comforting read that I highly recommend to anyone who Is a Christian or anyone who is questioning their faith or lack of faith. It’s a remarkable testimony that humbles me and makes me think about who’s going to be in heaven because of me.

Piper shares so much of his knowledge and teachings in this remarkable, emotional story. It is simply one that everyone needs to read and gift to someone you love.

I was attracted to this book because… As the sequel to 90 Minutes in Heaven, I know this was be satisfying and encouraging read. I’ve also followed Cec Murphy for many years and I always enjoy his writing.

This book was about Don continues to share about his 90 minutes in heaven after a head-on collision. It has taken 15 years for Don to be able to share his joyous experience of being met by the people at heaven’s gate who were key to bringing him to know Jesus as his personal Savior. He also shared many questions and concerns people who asked in his 15 years of sharing his story.

Things I liked about this book Don honestly, sometimes painfully, shared his life experiences through his loved ones and friends who were there to greet him. It is also a reminder of how important it is to share Jesus in your talk and the way you live Jesus.

Why you should read this book If you have ever wondered what the first few minutes would be like after death, Don gives you great insight into his very short time. Since he didn’t make it pass the gates of heaven before he was called back to his life, there are still many mysteries unknown beyond the gates.

If you ever wondered if you will make a difference in the world, Don’s story of how small actions in the lives of others, made his entrance into heaven a reality.

This book lived up to the back cover copy As Michael W, Smith says on the back cover, ‘It’s a clear call to populate heaven.”

I read 90 Minutes in Heaven by Don Piper - about his near-fatal accident and now, the follow up.

The book is a challenge to take inventory, while alive and on earth, of our relationships and what is the most eternally important in those relationships. Piper asks the question, "Who is going to be there because of you," in the subtitle of the 200+ page book.

This is a good follow-up read to 90 Minutes, and a book that Piper admits to "putting off." He doesn't really explain why except that it was such a personal and emotional encounter to recall.

Piper did not have a near death experience in 1989, he actually died and was dead for 90 minutes, his story is unique and very believable.

The challenge he poses is for us, the living, as we relate and connect to people. Every single thing matters - our words, our actions, our daily interactions MATTER.

I recommend this book to those who have read 90 Minutes but also to those who like to know the secret things...Piper does not disappoint.

I saw this book on my library's "new nonfiction" shelf and thought it looked interesting. Apparently, the author, Don Piper, wrote another book, "90 Minutes in Heaven", which I hadn't heard of. That book must share the details of a crash he was in in 1989, where he was declared dead on the scene for 90 minutes until a pastor pleaded with the EMTs to pray over him, while he was covered in a sheet, dead, in his car. During that time he immediately went to outside the gates of heaven and was immediately greeted by several people he had known on earth. This book details who these people were and the common thing between all of them is that they all helped him to know Jesus.
This was an interesting read and mostly matched up to my own beliefs of what happens when we die, as far as being greeted by loved ones. He also urges everyone to share testimony of Jesus Christ, that they too can know Him.

Story about being saved after a terrible accident. Seeing his loved ones waiting for him at the gates and those who have made an impact in his life. I have not read previous book. This one is a testimony and I admire the authors strength spiritually, mentally and physically. I won this book in a goodreads giveaway, thank you!

Loved this book. Really makes you look back on your own life and think about those people who have been influential in your walk with Christ. Also makes you consider who you have impacted or even could impact in their walk with Christ.

Inspirational. The subtitle is misleading. The people the author met were not there because of him. They were people who influenced his life, not necessarily anyone he helped on their way to heaven.

This is Mr. Piper's story. Of course there is no way to verify it. But his story changed him and that is positive.

This book was so amazing. After reading 90 Minutes in Heaven, I couldn’t wait to read this book. I was impressed with Don Piper’s story, and how he used his pain and sorrow, to encourage others who are going through tough times.

I have lost people very close to me, and reading this book made me feel so much better about their loss. I have always believed in God, Jesus, and Heaven, but reading this first-hand account of Heaven and greeting loved one was inspiring. I know they are waiting there at the gates for me to come home.

This book is such a wonderful encouragement for anyone who has lost loved ones or is facing death themselves. Knowing what Heaven is like, even just the entrance, is so exciting and makes death so much less scary. When you know where you are going, or where your loved one is, you know you have nothing to fear. To me, and anyone facing this, that reassurance is invaluable.

Recommendation: This book is so inspiring and encouraging; I highly recommend it to anyone grieving a loss, facing an illness, or anyone who fears death.

*I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher. A positive review was not required. All opinions are my own.*
