Luc Weston is employed by his uncle as a cartographer. He’s an office dwelling creator of maps and plans, but as his uncle’s heir, he must learn all aspects of the company. Specifically, surveying. The upside—spending time with the gorgeous surveyor, Rick Masters, in a cozy cabin. The downside—the cabin is in the woods. Luc hates nature, and nature hates him. He’s got the ...more

Amending Plans is the first opportunity I’ve had to read anything by CM Corett. Straight up I can say, if you’re in the mood for an easy, sweet, short romance this may be the book for you.

Though the story was well outlined and the whole thing nicely edited, there were some thing that just didn’t work for me. I felt like Amending Plans was at least a dozen other novels mashed up and regurgitated into this story. There was nothing really original or heart grabbing here for me.

A Joyfully Jay review.

This is an adorable take on the city mouse and country mouse story. This odd couple features Luc, who would rather go antiquing or out to dinner with friends, and Rick, who wants to sit back with a beer and a burger. Being outdoors gives Luc hives, and being in an office makes Rick go a little stir crazy, and yet they both know that somehow, with a bit of give and take, what they have can turn into something amazing. It’s a little trite, but it’s very cute.

Luc is an indoors kind of guy. He works at his uncle's firm as a cartographer, and is expected to take over the company when his uncle retires someday. Rick is a surveyor at the same company, and Luc is completely crushing on Rick. Rick is the outdoorsy mountain man, and it seems like there is little these two have in common. After having to spend some time together, there are some bumps in the road (and on the outdoors trails-lol), but they find that they really like each other's company. Luc i ...more

If you're in the mood for a short sweet read, with a touch of humor and two characters who are total opposites, but totally perfect together, then Amending Plans will be right up your alley. ;)

Luc is just as described, a tad nerdy, totally at home in his city environment and a total klutz when it comes to anything outdoorsy. Rick was the total opposite, more comfortable outdoors and at home in the woods - the more rustic the accommodations, the better. There was no possible way that

Luc is an city boy, lover of skinny jeans, wheeled suitcases and very comfortable within brick and glass. He is employed in and is expected to take over his Uncle's cartographer company. He admires from afar his colleague Rick, who works as a surveyor and is the complete opposite to Luc, a burly bearded lumberjack type who loves the outdoors. In learning about all aspects of the company, Luc is forced to spend time with Rick to observe the surveyors role and they end up on a trip into the backwo ...more

I was really excited as I started reading this one. I have a serious soft spot for klutzes, especially when paired with a brawny alpha male.

In the beginning, I found the story endearing and was enjoying the slow burn, even though it felt like many scenes were cut off before they were fully fleshed out. Luc and Rick had great, mildly kinky chemistry. The sexy times that developed organically were hot and well-written, and I would have loved if the kinky aspect were explored a bit more. It was sh

I really enjoyed this. I say that with surprise because I've never read this author before and didn't know what to expect. Amending Plans was cute and light, which is exactly what I needed after reading a difficult book. I liked both Luc and Rick and thought they were good together.

I don't know anything about cartography and surveying and would have liked the author to explore that aspect of their jobs and lives a bit more. I also feel like Luc and Rick never really got to know each other

Gotta Read this!
A great read from CM Corett. This story is sweet, sexy & funny.
It is well written and the characters' exploration of the mild D's theme was believable and really well executed. I love Luc and Rick, and the story hooked me in with a very funny scene set in the forest.

This is a real opposites attract. Rick is a big burley guy, he’s an outdoorsman, who is one with nature and is happiest being outside. Luc and nature have never gotten along. When he is forced to participate in a cross-training program at work, a two-day trip into the wilderness with Rick to observe what the job of a surveyor entails, well, the fact that Luc comes back from the trip limping, sore all over and bandaged up, just proves what an outdoorsmen, Luc is NOT. 2 1/2 stars. Kudos for the effort. Unfortunately, this book does not offer anything original that will set it apart from countless others in this genre. The characters are stereotypical and the dialogue is full of clichés. I also noticed that there were plenty of proofreading and editing misses (if you say someone’s chest is “smooth” you don’t talk about runing your fingers through his hairy chest” later or how that person had “the right amount of

This book didn't amaze me in any way. It felt like a stereotypical M/M romance and did not add to anything that the genre doesn't already have in abundance. The story was fairly bland and predictable and the characters weren't all that interesting. I think that if this book was around 50 pages longer, everything could have been more fleshed out and the story would have more time to develop. This was a very quick and easy read, but it was not a memorable one.

A really enjoyable book!
Great MC's with lots of slow burn chemistry. It's well written, and I especially liked the hint of kink. Very believable (and HOT)
Nothing too angsty with lots of funny moments.
I recommend this book.

At one point I thought I’m gonna like this story despite one character being quick to judge and prone to sulk. I kept thinking were this a yaoi manga with overblown drawn scenes - think of those graphic sexy tussling on page! - I might find this more tolerable. (Weird, but that’s how my mind works, I guess.) As it is, I felt “Amending Plans” felt like immature try on D/s dynamics with exaggerated bear slash twink characters.

Rick felt too overbearing and quick to judge. Throughout the story, Luc

I really enjoyed this book - it was sexy, sweet, funny and a quick read. Although I knew nothing about cartography and had only used survey equipment once in my life (for an archaeological field school), I still found the content to be interesting.

Luc was absolutely adorable. He was a sexy cartographer and the nephew of the owner, so he always had to be at the top of his game and keep a professional demeanor at work. He was also a klutz, hated the outdoors and of course, that's the s
