If you want to undestand the basics of building a fixed income portfolio, this is a good place to start.
The writing/academic style of this book, will make it very difficult to read; this is NOT an easy read at all. It is slow, technical and is not meant to be entretaining.
If you get through it, you will get:
-different kind of fixed income, financial instruments and how they are structured
-How to build a balanced portfolio of fixed income, and what to expect.
-Get your "fixed income math" right.
Overall is a good book, will teach you all the basics you need about the subject.
