Shut out the noise and listen to your heart . . .

Worse than a one-hit wonder, Tassia Hogan is a one-line wonder. Infamous for a memorable, extremely provocative verse, her music career is going nowhere. Finding a decent man to date has also proven fruitless . . . they all think she's as wanton as those lyrics. But now her label is offering Tassia the chance to shine--with

Tassia is an R&B singer/songwriter who, despite being signed to a prestige label, can't seem to break out. Her biggest claim to fame to date has been her stint on a children's show when she was 10 years old -- think Barney, but instead of a purple dinosaur, it was a baseball cap wearing rat (no, that is not a typo) and singing the catchy but suggestive hook to the top of the charts rap song. She is a well regarded songwriter who writes hits for other artists but who really wants to

I wish I could rate this 5 stars so badly, but I can't. The premise is interesting, I love the characters (especially some of the side characters, OMG Pepper!), and Crystal Bright's writing style is at times captivating. But this book at times reads like a second or third draft that hasn't been properly edited and through necessary rewrites to tighten up the story, and even giving it a 3 stat rating I'm sitting here wondering if I should be calling it 2.5 stars.

I enjoyed this romance about a country singer and a R&B singer who have some history as children and are thrown together again as adults. The premise was good, the characters were fantastic but I just didn't completely connect with this one ... there are some inconsistencies in the story that stuck out to me and then I had a hard time buying some of the decisions that were made and when they were made and how they were made. It made for a book that was good but not great for me.

Crazy on You by Crystal B. Bright is the third and final book in her Love and Harmony series. I haven’t read the others in the series, but I know this book is a great way to end it. Bright dedicated the entire Love & Harmony series to people looking for redemption and second chances.

Tassia Hogan, former child TV star, is at a crossroad in her music career. Her one-line hook in a recently released song has sent the wrong message to both fans and industry executives. She’s been offered an oppo

Tassia Hogan is afraid that her singing and musical career have hit a peek at being a one-hit wonder. She does not want to be remembered that way or for the things being said by the roadie that she was with on the last tour. Now hoping for a solo project after years of being with the same label she is only offered a duet album with a country star. Her best friend talks her into going to the meeting. Hyde Love is having problems with his music, life divorced and just about everything. Not wanting ...more

Recommends it for: Music Romance Lovers
This story felt almost deja vu since the first book in the series centered around an R&B singer and Country singer pairing up to record music together.

After a short stint on a kid-ensemble show, the next time we encounter Tassia is when she's on stage singing a salacious hook that has embarrassingly made her famous. She's tired of being a one trick pony so she is more than ready to take a well-deserved vacation. Before she can lock her front door she's blindsided by vicious TV gossip that s
The plot of this book sounded great on paper and had all of the elements that are normally my catnip - both leads are famous or semi-famous, both are singers/songwriters although in different musical fields (he's a country singer, she's R&B), they worked together as kids but haven't interacted in years, both are reluctant to commit to a new project together, and it's an interracial love story. Unfortunately, while all of those elements are present in the story, they didn't gel and this book ...more

Bright really brings the characters to life in Crazy on You. She didn’t have the fall in love so easily as you see in many books. It took time for Tassia and Hyde to fall in love and learn to trust one another. As a contemporary romance, Bright brought the characters true to life by giving them an interesting backstory. They were children when they met starring in a television show only to lose each other and not see each other again for almost a decade after. This book wasn’t all romance, it ha ...more

Crazy On You (part of the Love & Harmony series) by Crystal B. Bright is a must read!! This book is a friends to enemies to lovers romance that centers around singers Tassia and Hyde.

Tassia and Hyde have history. Both starred on the same tv show as children. Hyde was a shy and chubby kid that secretly crushed on his co-star, Tassia. Tassia was a talented singer that showed Hyde kindness. After an incident with the show producers, Tassia leaves the show. Luckily, fate decided that these two

First and foremost, I’d like to say thank you to Kensington Books and Netgalley for this advanced reader’s copy of Crazy on You by Crystal B. Bright in exchange for an honest review.

This is my first time reading anything from the author and I have to say it was an entertaining experience. Crazy On You is a hate-to-love romance story centered around the two main characters.

Tassia Hogan (pronounced Tasha) and Hyde Love were both relatable characters who both have a passion for music in their resp

I loved this book. As a fan of the old school Mickey Mouse Club, it took me back to my roots. Two former child singers who were on a show that gave them their start, meet up again after near misses, and the sparks fly.

Hyde Love rocketed to stardom after the Ratty Rat days. Coming off a major tour, the country superstar has one thing on his mind, rest. His manager, however, has other plans. Ignoring his clients ( and son’s) request, C. Love hitched Hyde

I really wanted to love this but it was just meh for me.

The premise of the book is great - Tassia is a singer, but fame has eluded her. She's mostly known for being the girl who sings hooks on big songs. She's talented, with a great voice and natural songwriting abilities, but she isn't quite there yet on her own. Hyde is a huge country star, with loads of fans, acclaim, wealth, etc. Tassia and Hyde have a bit of a history - they were costars on a kid's variety show (a la Mickey Mouse Club) when

Crazy on You was an enjoyable read and I liked the idea of this story a lot. But honestly, it was just missing a little something that would of made me connect with and enjoy it much more.

However the characters were likable and in some ways charismatic, if a little immature. And I really liked that Tassia and Hyde are an interracial couple and the way it was approached was fresh and nice to read.

As for the romance it was sweet and had a few hot moments. But as a couple they never really siz

Crystal B. Bright is a new author for me. This book is number 3 in her Love&Harmony series. And no it's not necessary to have read the other books. This book was good so I will definitely check out her other books. I was fortunate to receive an ARC through Net Galley but the opinion is my own. Tassia Hogan and Hyde Love know each other from a television series that featured them as teenagers. The two reconnect when asked to do an album of duets. Each has their reason for wanting to participa ...more

The book had potential although it was a bit close to Chantel and Truman in a country meet r&b kind of way. However I found it to be both repetitive and frustrating. Tessia was annoying to say the least. She was childish and a diva. She kept repeating how he didn’t choose her as his backup singer. Well get over it. This is the music business maybe your sound wasn’t what he was looking for a the time. Her dismissive attitude towards his security measures was also annoying. The l

Crazy on You is the first book I have read by this author and as you can see I’m prove that this book can be enjoyed as a stand-alone even though it’s the 3rd and final book in A Love & Harmony Romance Series.

Crystal B. Bright weaves a great story full of love, passion, and strong characters with realistic flaws who are striving to reach their dreams of success and love. Past readers will not be disappointed with the continuation of a great series of love stories that make your heart beat faster and sake your thirst for a happily-ever-after. New readers can jump right in, as this story can be read in series as well as all on it’s own.

I really struggling with this book from the beginning. The characters didn't seem to mesh and were more mean together then they were meant to be together.

I was ready to stop reading this when they Tassia and Hyde went to his grandparents house. It seemed like the book and the characters found their focus. I loved the last quarter of the book and wished the first half was more like it.

I received a copy of this book for a honest review.

Tassia and Hyde were both child actors but their paths have diverged widely since then. Now, a marketing "genius" thinks that they should make an album together- merging her R&B and his country. Hah! Neither one of them thinks this is an especially good idea but then they begin to work on it. This gets steamy fast. Thanks to net galley for the ARC. A fast light read.

I enjoyed this book generally, although a few parts didn't ring true (the "kidnapping," their history, particularly the audition, to name a couple). Hyde and Tassia had a lot to work through, and a lot stacked against them, but boy were we rooting for them the entire time!
