I’m secretly engaged…to a man I’ve never met.

I knew him by his handle, "August," but he knew me by a flirty, nude selfie attached to an email. One lewd phone call became the first of many passionate exchanges. His voice made me burn for hours, but he was just a fantasy.

Until he proposed.

I’ve never kissed him. We’ve never had a date. I've never seen my

Oh, wow. I can’t believe how amazing this book turned out to be. Really, it blew my mind.

The problem is that I can’t share the details of what made this romance a remarkably original and impressive experience.

It’s a double plot inside an arranged romance.

Truly eye-opening and inspiring.

Ok, let’s start with what I can really tell. The emails and text messages August and XXXX share are hilarious, hot and lively. Interspersed throughout the whole book, they reconstruct how this couple reached their

The secret arrangement was a very good book that kept me entertained throughout and definitely kept me on my toes.
When I thought I knew what was happening the goal posts shifted and had me guessing yet again.
I thought the storyline flowed really well and I was that engrossed in it I read it all in one sitting and it felt like hardly any time had passed.
Their love story was an interesting one and I absolutely loved their emails back and forth.
You can't help but feel for these two and it really pu

This book was actually pretty shocking! I feel like it was such a different type of romance story..something unlike anything I've really heard before (why I gave it .5 extra)! However, there were somethings that fell a little flat for me and seemed kind of far-fetched.

WOW, great sorry.

I loved reading the little messages we got to read between Lily and August. I think it helped us understand and see how this relationship blossomed. Then to be proposed to by a man you never met had to be shocking and a little unbelievable. I can see why part of her believe he would not show.

I loved August from the get go. Yes we saw this amazing man but every person has a side that others normally do not see and August had that. He had a lot of anger that was built up inside a

This is a fabulous read. This is all angsty and full of red-hot chemistry as August and Lily try to overcome the torture of a politically corrupted country led by his father. They met on line and when he proposed she said yes before meeting him. Once together, their life wasn’t as Lily dreamed it would be. Lily and August fly to his home in South America, where soon it doesn’t take long for Lily to realize she is a virtual prisoner in a country that is hostile to US. August‘s family is dangerous

Ok, I have waited months for this book to come out and I can tell you that it was so so worth the wait. There's a reminder of the ultimate bad boy that she writes so well but the way she is playing the past and present with each other kept me glued to my kindle. I haven't read thru a book that fast since I read my first book by Vanessa.loved it!

Enjoyed this ARC, I liked Lily and August. This was a very different romance storyline in that there's government ruled by a tyrant, militias and rebels. Plot had a few turns and the ending was very unexpected. You will get to see some old familiar characters.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book was absolutely horrible!

I’m even more disgusted by this book after reading the authors afterword. She had the nerve to claim this was a beauty and the beast inspired story. There is absolutely no way the sh!t I just read is in line with a beauty and the beast romance. First off the FMC was an idiot that I could not comprehend. The only thing that was at all intelligible about her personality was that she was desperate. Desperate enough to run off with a random dude she chatted with onl

This was a well-written and quite extraordinary story that was intriguing from start to finish. Thought emotionally charged in some places, this only highlighted the overall excellence of the plot. It has been a while since I have read such a moving and unusual story. This is definitely a book I would have no hesitation in recommending.

There is nothing in Lily’s future except a bleak question mark. Life used to be full of opportunities for Lily, but somehow her only choices now were to continue

"No one has ever made me feel this way before. I'm saying yes. I can't wait to meet (and marry) you. Let's do this."

This was on-line dating to the extreme! A Pretty Woman-esque tale of the woman at her lowest, finding her prince charming - coming to take her away from it all. Or is it?

Lilly Osborn never expected to be here. Living like a squatter in a warehouse encampment, barely scraping by. She had bigger plans than this for her life. Starting up a chat with a man named August was just an esca

Whew, The Secret Arrangement is a hell of a ride!!

Lily's life sucks, plain and simple. She's squatting in a barely livable warehouse filled with others in the same position she's in. The place is such a mess that it could go up in a puff of smoke in a single second. To take her mind off her life, she starts going online to chat and ends up meeting a guy named August with whom she shares an immediate connection. Flirty pics are sent. Sexting commences. Then a proposal. And Lily knows she has to a

So The Secret Arrangement wasn't a book that I could totally love, the plot was great, and it sucked me in quite a lot most of the time but unfortunately the back and forth of the heroine between I want August and don't want him was getting a bit too annoying for me, sometimes even made me feel like they weren't a perfect match, in my honest and weird opinion I think she should've had a go with Alex, but again it's just my opinion and It would've give the book a bit of a dark twist lol... Lily is living in a tent community in a loft with 50 other people. The hazards are innumerable. The bright spot is her online relationship with August. They talk about anything and everything - including sexual preferences. Her life is not what she had hoped for and she feels like a failure. But August, out of the blue without even meeting her, asks her to marry him. She is floored and skeptical. But he wears her down and she says yes. The only problem is she doesn't really know much about Augus ...more

I really enjoyed this latest Waltz release. We met our "beauty" as a down-on-her-luck girl in California who has an ongoing online romance with a foreigner. They finally met when she agrees to marry her. I initially thought this premise was rather benign and typical for some romances but the book quickly shifted into an adventure I never expected or have read before. Our "beast" is all man, macho, headstrong, dominant yet romantic and sensitive at heart. The secondary characters, mainly Alex, ke ...more

This book was quite interesting. The blurb really intrigued me and I was looking forward to reading it. This book though, it's not what you would expect. There's intrigue, heart breaking love, and people fighting against them. There are also lots and lots of secrets. I enjoyed this book greatly and read it in one day. However I did have a few issues. One of them really bothered me (and I wouldn't be surprised if it was supposed to bother me). I was NOT a fan of Alex. I understand the animosity t ...more

I received this book as an arc. This was a great quick read for me because I couldn’t put it down. I was anxious to reads this book because I’ve loved the other books in the series. Lily is a young woman from California who has had a really trying life with a lot heartache than joy. She begins a conversation with a mysterious man named August after she asks the forum for advice about her current relationship. Slowly these two begin to have feelings for each other through online chats, texts, and ...more

*** HOLY WOW! ***

I don't know how else to describe this book. Seriously! I was glued to this story.

Lily first meets August online. He first messages her after seeing some of her posts and things progressed from there into an online friendship to talking on the phone to August eventually promising Lily that he was coming for her to get her out the living condition she found herself in to a promise of marriage. But, when August did show up with bodyguards, that should have been the first sign of t

The premise of the book is so different than anything I have ever read before. It’s about a girl named Lily who didn’t have a good family life and didn’t know how to be financially smart with her money so she lived and worked in a warehouse type atmosphere that wasn’t safe. She had an online relationship with August and one day he said let’s get married. In the usual sense he was the hero to save the heroine except that he never told her about himself. If he had I don’t think Lily would have eve ...more

Be careful what you wish for; you just might get it!

Told entirely from Lily's POV, this is a gripping story that takes you beyond just a simple romance to a world filled with political intrigue, lies of omission, and danger around every corner. August seems too good to be true when his online flirtation with Lily turns into a marriage proposal. Lacking any real other options to escape her dead-end life, Lily blindly takes his hand and follows him to parts unknown. When she finally realizes where

While this book starts out with an online relationship between a down on her luck girl from California, Lily, and an enigmatic, handsome stranger, August, with secrets he cannot divulge, it devolves into a real tale of love, betrayal and survival. Ultimately love wins out in the end, but not before some ugly truths come out about just who August's family really is and why he brought Lily all the way from California to his country. But, in the end it is the story of a couple who love each other a ...more

“The Secret Arrangement” by Vanessa Waltz is a very captivating exciting read. This book is a dark, sexy, thrilling read. The book grabs you and you won’t be able to put it down until you finish it. There are so many dark layers to this book including many turns and twists. This book reflects what it is like living in a third world country. Wonderfully written with great depth to all of the characters. It’s a masterpiece of good versus evil. The exciting and sizzling chemistry between August and ...more

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book. Wow! This is not your ordinary love story, you know the sweep you off your feet and whisk you away to your HEA. I had no idea what I was in for with August and Lily’s story, but I went in feet first and was hooked from the start to finish, I couldn’t put this down. This book was so great. It sucked me in from the beginning and I couldnt put it down until I knew what happened. This is about Lily who is living in an abandoned warehouse in California. She meets August online and they begin a relationship. After a while they agree to meet and knowing her circumstances are bad he wants to marry her and bring her to his country. With nothing really to hold her there she agrees but once she gets there things change. August has lied about where he lives, who he is ...more

The story of August and Lily wasn’t what I was expecting, but It definitely kept my interest. I was expecting a story similar to the other ‘Arrangement’ books, but this took on a much more serious tone (to me). I wasn’t sure who to trust during the whole book, so it kept me guessing throughout. It was written entirely in Lily’s POV, which was why it was difficult to get a good read on August and other characters in the book. Although I couldn’t really connect with Lily, the story itself was inte ...more
Definitely Need More!!!!!

The book was so phenomenal I love how we get a glimpse on how they met and how they communicate by emails before they finally see each other face to face. I was so in shock how she risked everything by going away with him to a different country to live with him and how they made plans of marriage without really knowing one another. (You know people have their secrets) That was so crazy!!!! From beginning to end I was so invested how it ends and I was not disappointed how

Vanessa Waltz knows how to write hot romantic tales that are also well plotted, well written and loads of fun. That was certainly the case with her latest, The Secret Arrangement (Arrangement Book 3). This is loads of pure romantic fun. It had just what I wanted, was well written, and had a great plot full of perfectly heated romance. I simply adored its leads, determined Lily and August, and their unique phone and e-mail romance which develops into so much more. The cast of supporting character ...more

This book was sweet and doesn’t disappoint in the steamy sections, either! I loved the chemistry between August and Lily. The little snippets of how their relationship developed what a nice peek into their history. What I disliked is how the female character seemed to constantly make dumb decisions. I wanted to shake her. I won’t say what she did, because I don’t want to spoil your read. And of course each of those decisions kicked off consequences that were key to the story, but it did stop me ...more

I received this book in advance for a voluntary honest review. I was psyched for this book after reading chapter one online. Lily meets August online and after months of communication she agrees to marry him without actually meeting him. Not knowing this to begin with causes some tension between the two but when they finally get married and hit the she ...more
