This is my first ever 'Art Of' book, and i loved it. Therefor my review isn't a rather critical one as it is just me being utterly happy and loving every single piece, every comment and every usage of colour in this book. Can't wait to read and have the others. ❤

Stunning visual images of the creation of this animated movie; it set up incredibly well to go along the lines of the internet culture.

So the writers, producers, etc are set up like it’s an instant message board and they’re talking to you, the reader, like it’s a chat about the movie. What I loved most was their ideas about how certain sites would look like in a vast city like scape, like Google, Amazon and Instagram. I loved the idea of a little person following you around with a cart while you shopped online.

While it really shows all the ideating that took place, amongst the setting and characters, it doesn’t give a whole lot away concerning the overall story of the movie, which isn’t too big a deal to be honest.

Overall, great images, so much color and life within the pages, it’s a great addition to those who like to collect these sorts of books

Ralph and Vanellope embark on a mission to save Vanellope's game. They search on the internet and encounter a extensive flourishing circuit city. It shows how their worlds just get bigger and how they each react to that differently. The art book really gets in depth on the hardware and world building of the internet hub and its levels. I found the character portions to be more of my favorites as I like seeing their concepts and developments. I kind of wish they had mention more on how characters may have been influenced more by voice actors in the later processes, too. Great compilation overall!

Esu labai daug THE ART OF knygų apie animacinių filmų kūrimą perskaitęs, tad drąsiai sakau, kad ši knyga yra viena tų, kur išnagrinėjamas kiekvienas dizaino elementas. Plius ir pati knyga sumaketuota ypač originaliai. Labai rekomanduoju, jei domites animacijos gamyba - privalote paskaityti.

As someone who does not draw heavily stylized and simplified cartoons, studying this artwork is fascinating. I love reading about the fundamentals of shape language, color theory, and exaggerated animation. Really breaks concept art down to the finest technicalities, and it's very cool!

A great book full of insights on how this new universe was created; even though it pratically does not talk about the story
