My Opinion:

I totally enjoyed this time traveling trip. One of my favorite shows is set in Scotland (HINT) and it gives you the same vibe but with a different twist. You can't help falling in love with Torr in every page that you read. He's hot, loyal and fierce, just what you want in a sexy scottish man! =)

There is a ton of talk about his muscles - so that was a bit overused. I got it, that he was muscular, didn't need it repeated a hundred times. I also thought that the author could have used some more backstory with TMI. You get some but it just wasn't enough for me. I can see some spin offs of the whole TMI group which I hope there is. Still I liked Diana and Torr.

Diana is sent on a mission to make sure Torr dies in battle in two weeks. What she got was someone that makes her heart stop and she falls in love with him. Totally enjoyed these two. I like both of their characters and personalities and I totally would have done what Diana did! You will have to read and find out how this magical romance begins and ends and all the while you will enjoy the ride. I personally loved the heat between these two. I didn't like over usage of words, and thought it would have been a bit better had the author looked up some of the scottish dialect of that time. There were some words in here, that well, were just not used in that time. BUT, I did enjoy this tale! I would recommend the book for a fun, fast, hot read!

I give this book a 4 of 5 stars!

I didn't enjoy On Highland Time as much as I wanted to. I love time travel romance books but I really struggled with this one. I didn’t enjoy the time travel aspect that the author created in this book. The main heroine, Diana, is a member of TWI, a time travelling organization that fixes time disruptions caused by other time travelers, called Disruptors. Disruptors travel back in time to change events in the past in order to change the future. This is an interesting premise that unfortunately wasn't well executed. On the one hand, there was a lot of infodumping in the beginning of the book, when the author introduces the idea of Time Weavers and Disruptors. And on the other hand, the whole idea is not well developed and just messy. For example, some of the members of TWI, in addition to having time travelling gene, have extra abilities: Arthur can "download" information, including language, to other people brains with just his look (how convenient!), Jules can communicate telepathically with other members, and Javier has the ability to sense muscle triggers (what does it even mean?)

Also, it seemed to me that the author really wanted to make sure that her readers never forgot how big and muscly the main hero, Torr, is. I lost count of how many times we were told that Torr has such thick thighs, bulging biceps, huge shoulders, and muscles all over. I would wager that there was a mention of Torr's muscles on every other page. I was rolling my eyes constantly!

On Highland Time was not the best Highlander time travel romance I've read. If there are any more books planned to make it a series, I won't be reading them.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this review copy of On Highland Time by Lexi Post.
Full disclosure: I don’t read a lot of romance novels anymore especially paranormal/time-travel so this is probably an unfair review in a lot of ways but I just didn’t GET it.
The entire Time Weavers business model and Diana’s job COULD have been cool but it was explained oddly (everyone lives in her house?) and the entire thing felt rushed. I’m not even sure how they were funded. And then there are huge plot holes like a character’s ability to leave a major hospital after being run through by a sword and on a feeding tube.
As far as the romance goes the entire relationship was rushed and silly. Torr is from 700 years ago and yet he’s the perfect man (except the usual guarded heart and bed hopping) and it’s pretty much insta-lust for the both of them. The sex scenes seem to be pretty much the entire point of this book with just a little sword swinging, bread baking and “who is the traitor” and “who is the disruptor” to break up the monotony. I’m still not sure who either are and I don’t care.
Final review: two stars. Silly and with a side of muddled plot time travel romance.

On Highland Time was a quick, easy read that was enjoyable and filled with hot Scottish men. I admit I first thought the premise to be similar to Outlander but it was very different. While I found the concept of people employed to go back in time to prevent massive changes in history interesting, I thought that some of the execution of this fell a little short and could seem a bit unrealistic. There were many instances were I was confused or needed more background info (such as character history and Disruptor/TWI history), but I very much enjoyed the easy romance. Overall this was a nice read that was easy to finish.

Thanks to Entangled Publishing LLC & NetGalley for this advanced readers copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I couldn't put it down!!!

This was one of those books I became obsessed with...I'm talking "almost falling up the stairs because I'm so focused on reading the book instead of looking where I'm walking." :)

I was pulled in by the seemingly impossible synopsis; how could she make sure he died if she was no doubt going to fall in love with him?! I was kept in suspense right up until the end...which was left wiiiiiiide open for more books in this series! (Don't worry, Torr and Diana get a Happily Ever After!)

I thought Torr and Diana were written beautifully, but Torr is one of my favorite heroes. The synopsis mentions that he knows how to treat a lady, and WOW does he!

Speaking of "wow," holy HOT love scenes. I mean, good gracious. Torr. LOVE him.

While this is the first Lexi book I have read, it definitely won't be my last. The story didn't go in the direction I thought it would, and I can't tell you how much I enjoyed the unpredictability. I was also in tears towards the end at a part I won't spoil for you.

I can't wait for more books in this series!!!!

(I was given this book in consideration of my honest thoughts)

Reading the synopsis, I thought I would enjoy On Highland Time... I really wanted to like this book. Diana is a member of TWI, a time travelling organization that fixes time disruptions caused by other time travelers. This concept had so much potential to be really, really good but it felt like the author rushed through the planning stages and the reader can tell. There were too many “quick fixes” - one character can transmit all kinds of data, even languages, just by looking at a person. Now our MC is a multi-lingual, historian expert that can put down a Scottish laird, whom we are reminded of constantly of how big and muscular he is, and she learned all this in just one year! There was too much convoluted info dumping that just wasn’t necessary to the story. This book has potential and I feel like with some work, it could turn into something great.

On Highland Time is a phenomenal time travel romance by Lexi Post. Ms. Post has once again delivered a book that is well-written, fun to read and stands out in it's genre. The cast of characters in this book is extraordinary, I love them. Diana is an agent for Time Weavers and travels in time to repair history to what it should be before it was changed by Disruptors. She travels back in time to the Scottish Highlands. Torr is the MacPherson laird and must die in the upcoming battle for history to not be changed. Torr and Diana's story is loaded with suspense, action, humor and sizzle. On Highland time hooked me at page one and I enjoyed every page and I look forward to my next book by Lexi Post. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

On Highland Time by Lexi Post. This is Diana Montgomery and Torr MacPherson’s story.

Torr and Diana’s story is a great historical time travel book. The description of places and time periods made me feel as if I was there.

The chemistry and interactions between Torr and Diana were fantastic. I loved how I felt a connection to them.

I read very few historical books but I’m glad I gave this one a try. This story has hot chemistry and so many twists that brings everything together in a great ending.

FYI, contains mature content.

Review:

Oooooooh ..On Highland Time by Lexi Post is a time travel novel, which I have not read one of those in a while.

Diana is a time traveler, working with a small team for TWI, (Time Weavers Inc.)

Their job is to go back in time after a Disturber (technically a bad guy) has altered a section of history and return it to how it should have be. (We do not find out why they want to disturb time, and it’s a little frustrating, hoping it gets cleared up in the next book)

A Disturber alters events, and the history of the world changes. (Good or bad I’m not sure at the moment)

Diana’s latest job is to go back to Scotland. (A Disturber has saved the life of a man who was to die in battle, and this changes the whole future). Diana is to make sure the man dies in battle and to identify the Disturber and bring him/her back to be interrogated by the TWI.

Torr is the Laird of a small clan, loyal to Robert the Bruce. He has lost most of his family in battle, his only living relative is his younger brother. He won’t marry and he certainly doesn’t do relationships, in fact he keeps himself detached from everyone, he feels that he can’t bear to lose another loved one, and even the women he sleeps with all know that he won’t settle down, He won’t even bed the same woman twice.

Diana arrives a few weeks before the battle. When on previous missions to change time back, she keeps a low profile, making no friends nor does she bring attention to herself. But things don’t always go her way, and before she’s knows it, she’s befriended by the clan, and the Laird almost immediately notices the strange woman in his camp.

Torr is looking for a possible spy so he notices all new faces, and there are several. But the one that disturbs him the most, is a woman, and he can’t get her out of his thoughts.

He invites Diana to his bed and is shocked when she refuses…..But Diana has a job to do, she doesn’t have time for the handsome Laird.

Diana is having a hard time doing her job this time, she finds Torr to be a good man with a big heart who is good to his clan and truly cares about them all. Can Diana complete her task successfully?

I really enjoyed this story and thought the twist at the end was well done. I did have a few questions and queries, and I hope these are answered in any further books in this series.

(1) what’s a disturber ?

(2) what do they gain from disrupting the past?

And I wasn’t really sure about her team that she works with (including her boss “Jules”)

(1) more info on the powers that some of her team members have.

On Highland Time is a promising start to the Time Weavers Inc. series.

Time Weavers Inc is a secret organisation with a team of time travellers. This installment goes from 21st century to 12th century Scottish Highlands.

Diana is one of the most disciplined travellers who considers the Time Weavers to be family after having lost her loved ones.

Torr is the Laird of the Montgomery clan and is a loyal supporter of Robert the Bruce who is currently under threats from the English Crown.

Diana's mission is to travel back in time to the 1300s to stop a Disruptor from changing the sequence of events during a battle. With her expertise, she blends in well, but it's difficult to adhere to all the rules as it's a small clan. Keeping her distance from clan members is proving to be difficult as they are a close knit and friendly bunch. She is quite taken by Torr and he is fascinated by her. As much as she tries to avoid him, interacting with him is rather impossible and they soon embark on a passionate affair. He doesn't believe in serious relationships as getting close to anyone only results in pain. She can't allow herself to fall in love as she has to return to the present time once her mission is accomplished. Can she allow him to meet his fate to complete her mission, or will her feelings get in the way? Either way, pain and sorrow are bound to follow.

I really enjoyed this take on time travelling. The events and sceneries are so vividly portrayed that I felt transported to the time and place. Torr is gentle, loyal and loving. Diana is kind and compassionate. The secondary characters are very well defined and it's nicely paced. The romance between Torr and Diana looks as though it's doomed from the start, but despite the difference in time, love triumphs. An innovative and compelling storyline.

I received an eARC and the views expressed are my own.

By Lexi Post

Diana Montgomery, the most experienced agent of Time Weavers Inc. (TWI) travles back to 1306 Scotland to change history. When someone changes history, affecting the future and agent is always sent back to right the wrong. Her mission, to find the culprit and make sure that a minor clan chief dies in battle as he originally had.

Diana is well prepared to infiltrate the small MacPherson clan. What she's not prepared for is Torr MacPherson, a the handsome warrior and Laird who has a kind heart and steadfast loyalty. Diana makes friends with the people of the clan which breaks one of the most important rules of TWI to never make friends and as she gets closer and closer to Torr while looking for the disrupter she finds it is increasingly harder for her to stay neutral and do her job.
Will Diana be able to find the disrupter in time? Will she be able to pull away from Torr and walk away letting him die?

Lexi Post writes a different kind of time travel novel then I'm used to, but I enjoyed the fast past nature of the book. I look forward to reading the next book in the series

I received a copy of this e-book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Diana is a time traveler, working with a small team for TWI, Time Weavers Inc. Their job is to go back in time after a Disturber has altered what happened in history and make it as it should have been. When a Disturber alters events, history of the world changes.

Diana's latest job is to go back to 1306 Scotland. A Disturber has saved the life of a man who was to die in battle against Comyn, and this changed the whole future. Diana is to make sure he dies in battle and to hopefully identify the Disturber and bring them back to be interrogated.

Torr is the man who is to die. He is a Laird of a small clan, loyal to Robert the Bruce. He has lost most of his family in battle, only having one younger brother left. He is unmarried and doesn't develop any
relationships because he doesn't feel he can lose another loved one. He does engage in sex but all the women know it will not go further, and rarely does he engage with the same woman more than once.

Diana arrived a few weeks before the battle and events started off all wrong. She usually keeps a low profile, making no friends or bringing attention to herself. Right away she is befriended and the Laird notices her.

Torr is looking for a possible spy so he notices all new faces, of which their are several. He and Diana are very attracted to one another which is not usual for either of them. He has invited Diana to his bed but she has refused as she has a job to do.

Diana is having a hard time, she finds Torr to be a good man with a big heart who is good to his clan and truly cares about them. He is a fair Laird.

Can Diana complete her task successfully?

I really enjoyed this story and thought the twist at the end was well done. It really completed the story.

I did have some questions in my mind about the Disturbers but that is just being me overly analytical I think. The story does come full circle. I think any Highland fan would like the book.

I was reeled in by Diana's mission to travel back to 1306 Scotland to ensure Torr MacPherson dies in battle to keep events in place and the future from changing. A Disruptor has altered the battle event and Torr lived, which then changed future events and altered the modern day. Diana needs to find the Disruptor and keep them from saving Torr's life. However, Diana has broken the rules of time travelers in this mission by making friends among the clan and falling in love with Torr. How is she supposed to let him die?

This story has emotional twists and exciting turns. Torr may be the well built and demanding Laird he just needs to accept he has a soft side and Diana has claimed it. Diana is torn between her job as a time traveler and how her decisions will affect her fellow time travelers, the events of the past and their effect on the present.
There are a lot of characters in this book between past and present day and the introduction of a bunch of them, albeit brief, in the beginning was a bit confusing. Their brief introductions will come back to the reader as the story wraps up and leaves opening for this to become a series of time travel books.

Diana Montgomery is an agent for Time Weavers Inc. Her task this time is to go back to
Scotland in the early 1300s and make sure that the time line is not "disrupted" . What she didn't bank on was the difficulty she would have in sticking to rule 5, (Don't make friends ).
Torr MacPherson is chief of his call after the deaths of mist of his family. He will make sure he doesn't lose anyone else he loves. The protection of his King and his clan are as all important to him now.
Our heroine has traveled in time before and never had a problem sticking to the rules and accomplishing her mission , but this one is much more difficult.
Our hero knows there is a traitor in his keep and there are only a few suspects.
A really good highland adventure with lots of humour, romance and some sexy scenes. I lived all the characters, especially our little Go Lucky.
Great fun, I can't wait for the next book in the series

I was really looking forward to reading this book after reading the blurb but it didn’t live up to the synopsis. The explanation of Time Weavers and Disruptors was just too wordy & long for me but I could live with that. I liked Diana & Torr & their characters were well fleshed but did Torr’s muscles need to be continually mentioned? I got that he's a strapping Scotsman but I didn't need it repeated so often & I found myself skipping passages. Although I did have some issues with the book I did enjoy it & would certainly read more from the author

This a lovely story of a time traveler and a Highlander, who has lost most of his family to the way they have to live. The fighting with other clans and even between kings. Diana loves him but she has to make sure he dies on his appointed day., in order to straighten history Torr is the laird and he and one other brother are alive to fight for the clan. I really enjoyed the tale, the descriptions were great and set the stage. The characters were well developed. the plot while complicated was well written, and even paced. I loved the banter between them and the interactions with the other characters of the clan.

Lexi Post has found my sweet spot with her latest, ON HIGHLAND TIME, by combining the Scotland, time travel, and a big Alpha in need of rescuing. Time Weavers, Inc. is saving the world moment to moment by sending agents back in time to fix mysterious rifts made by time disruptors. Agent Diana Montgomery assignment is to go back to 1306 Scotland and make sure a certain clan chief dies in battle like he’s supposed to. It soon becomes mission impossible when she falls for Torr MacPherson. You’re gonna love this one.

ON HIGHLAND TIME by Lexi Post is an intriguing and interesting Time Travel, Scottish Romance set in 1306 Scotland.  Interesting concept the "Time Weavers, Inc." group, Diana was sent back through time to find the culprit who changed history and set things back to rights. A minor clan chief, Torr,  must die in battle as he originally had, but can Diana allow that to happen? Will her feelings get in the way? Suspenseful,  sexy,  passionate, with a few twists and turns,  and a HEA, which leaves the concept of more to come.  Interesting characters. The storyline was unpredictable and intriguing to me. I can't wait to read more from Lexi Post.I received a complimentary copy,  however,  all opinions are my own.

It's a great book, I really loved the story. It's well written and has some very interesting characters. Plot is quite unique and intriguing. I was totally engrossed in the book once I started reading and it was difficult to put it down. I think it's an amazing historical fiction with time travel twist.

Diana is on a mission. She needs to stop history from changing, that is all. She has done this before, as long as she follows the rules things will be fine. However, it seems that this time around following the rules may not be as it as everyone thinks. She is in a place where everyone is friendly and involved with each others lives. In such an environment keeping her feelings detached is becoming a problem. She can't help but feel sympathy, love, and even lust for people around her. Especially, staying away from one person is becoming more and more difficult with each passing day... they have no future because, well, they are from different times. And after all is said and done she must return to her present... leaving everyone else behind... or maybe there is a way around rules?

Torr finds Diana quite attractive. She seems to be an exceptional woman. She is kind and loving. He wants her. However, she is not like his clan's women, she wants him all to herself... that may not be such a good idea. he has to protect his heart. Also, there is something about the lass which seems off. She may not be who she claims to be and he must find out the truth before tragedy strikes his clan once again...

As I said, it's a novel all historical fans will enjoy reading. I'm glad that I got the chance to read it and would recommend it to my friends and followers alike.

On Highland Time by Lexi Post is the story of Diana Montgomery and Torr MacPherson.
This is a time travel romance so if you are like me I enjoy those books.
Diana works for Time Weavers, Inc where the agents can go back in time to correct mishaps that set the wrong history into motion. Diana is head back in time to correct a battle where Torr was to die. But what she didn't plan on was her feelings for him. Thorr was a large man but with a big heart and took Diana into his clan but he has sworn off taking anyone into his heart. But Torr is finding it hard to resist his growing feelings!

Now this one was a bit different with intrigue woven in because of what Diana needed to do. Then there is Torr whom has a way with him and will capture your heart. This author will give a mission but you will be slowly pulled in and strung up because you want it aborted. the group itself is different with you getting into them with interest also. The drama will capture you with your heart filling up slowly with nose to the page to see where it all ends up.

This is my first time reading a time travel romance and I got to say I really enjoyed it. I loved books that are intertwined with history (more or less).

The story was beautifully paced and after you get the hang of all the rules of TWI you fall into it and I just couldn’t put it down.
I enjoyed all the alone moments between Diana and Torr. You could just feel how Torr manages to steal Diana’s heart peace by peace with all his actions and tenderness. And that is why my heart was breaking when he demanded to be taken back. But then it was put together again when he finally admitted to himself that he was in love with her and was willing to do whatever to get back to her even if it meant leaving behind everything he knows.

This is book one in the series and I’m looking forward to the next time travel to hit my Kindle :)

How can someone travel through time and change history? Well if you are Diana, a member of the Time Weavers, Inc, it is possible. Actually her group travels back in time to correct disruptions caused by another group who change time to the detriment. On such a mission Diana travels back to 1306 Scotland to find the culprit who changed the timeline and make sure a clan chief dies as history had written. But when she meets that clan chief Torr MacPheason, how can she let him die? Torr is a fierce warrior but has strong loyalty to his people and a kind heart. Falling in love with him was not on the agenda and how could she complete her mission if she let him live? An interesting story that will hold your interest to see what happens in the end.

This book definitely feels like the start of a series, if only because of the amount of pages dedicated to explaining the TWA organization and its rules about time traveling. It was a little hard to get through all that but once I did I definitely enjoyed watching the romance between Diana and Torr MacPhearson grow. Diane's struggle between her time travel mission and her feelings for Torr was believable in that she didn't come to a conclusion quickly. Hopefully any further books in this series won't be quite so bogged down with world building explanations.

This was an unusual take on the time travel theme to others I have read. Diana belongs to the Time Weavers who go back in time to stop another group called the Distruptors from altering history. Once I’d got this into my head I really found the story captivating. Torr MacPerson was the leader of his clan, strong and brave and protective of his people, and he was due to die in battle. However Diana comes to love Torr and she is doubting whether she can let him die. I didn’t know how this was going to end and there were some very emotional moments in the story. It was one I had to keep reading and hoping it had a happy ending. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my opinions.

Welcome to Time Weavers, Inc., where the agents have the power to travel in time to fix ripples caused by the Disruptors. Diana Montgomery is a TWI agent with a mission to make sure Laird Torr MacPherson, of the Clan MacPherson, dies in battle. A Disruptor has saved his life, and has caused a backlash of epic proportions in the future. Thinking this will be a routine assignment, Diana isn’t prepared for the kind hearted giant of a man who welcomes her not only into his Clan, but his bed as well. Laird MacPherson has vowed to never love anyone, but when he sets his eyes on the new lass that has requested sanctuary in his clan, he’s left wondering if he will be able to keep that vow. Diana and Torr are faced with hard choices that will forever impact the future of not only their lives, but the lives of future descendants. Will Diana throw caution to the wind, and save her gentle giant that she has grown to love? Or will she allow history to play out as it should and allow him to pass on to the hereafter…“You own my heart, lass. Without you, I am truly dead.”

On Highland Time is the first in a series, and like with all new installments, we the readers are hit with a lot of information. But once the rules of time travel and the powers the TWI agents have are put in motion, readers can set back and enjoy the adventure and romance as told On Highland Time.

Lexi Post has written a dream come true for this reader! Love overcomes all obstacles in this historical romance, and I already can’t wait for the next installment!! Highly recommend!

This story goes back and forth from today to the 1300s in Scotland. TWI Agency have the talent to go back in time and rectify past events to stop the future being disrupted. The problem was Diana fell in love with a highlander and didn't want him to die, how will the future change if she brings him home? An entertaining tale of romance in difficult times.
