From #1 New York Times bestselling author Sylvia Day (writing as S.J. Day) comes Three Eves , starting with Eve of Darkness . This steamy urban fantasy series tells the story of Evangeline Hollis, a heavenly bounty hunter, who’s cursed by God, hunted by demons, and desired by none other than Cain and Abel. Uncontrollable bloodlust, dark and sexy desires, disasters of biblical proportions… S.J. Day’s epic series has it all and is not to be missed.
Eve of Darkness ― Years ago, Evangeline Hollis spent a blistering night with a darkly seductive man she can't forget. Now Eve is thrust into a world where sinners are marked and drafted to kill demons. Her former one-night stand, Cain, is now her mentor-and his equally sexy brother Abel is her new boss.
Eve of Destruction ― When Eve’s training class takes a field trip to an abandoned military base, things take a dark turn. Meanwhile, her body is still adapting to her new abilities and the challenges that came with them―such as uncontrollable bloodlust…which seems to be inciting another kind of lust altogether.
Eve of Chaos ― Eve runs over Satan's hellhound during training, so he puts a bounty on her head, and every demon in the country wants to deliver. Meanwhile, as Cain's role in Eve's life becomes more and more uncertain, Abel doesn't hesitate to step in.
Acclaimed for her signature emotionally charged storytelling and the psychological complexity of her characters, Sylvia Day is a number one bestselling author in twenty-nine countries, with translations in forty-one languages and over twenty million copies of her books in print. Day is the #1 New York Times, #1 USA Today, #1 Sunday Times, #1 Globe and Mail, #1 Der Spiegel, and #1 international bestselling author of over twenty award-winning novels, including six Sunday Times, ten New York Times and thirteen USA Today bestsellers. It’s really hard to review this series without giving spoilers away to any new reader. I love Sylvia Day’s work and the Marked Series is no exception. This series has a lot of great qualities like the story line, the chemistry, suspense and thrill, but I also found it to be a bit fustrating. The love triangle really annoyed me with the double standards that Eve thought was fine, especially in book 3 ‘Eve of Chaos’. Eve runs from one brother to the next but then has the decency to feel jealous and angry.
Other then that I really loved reading this series.
I've been a fan of Sylvia Day for a while and I was so excited to find out that she also writes urban fantasy. She's one of my favorite authors and this is my favorite genre!!! Eve, Cain and Abel made this series such a great read. The story was so brilliant with twists and turns you never see coming. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I'm so excited to read more of Day's UF books!
I really enjoyed this series. But I feel another full book could have followed these. The short stories written after this series left so many questions unanswered. The ending of Eve, Alec, and Caine felt rushed.
good plot and good story. Ended rather quick for my liking but all good books do :) 8/10 would recommend to someone looking for a good fantasy love triangle like romance with two MMC and one FMC.
4 stars! I don’t usually read this genre but I read Sylvia Day’s Crossfire series a couple of years ago & enjoyed it so I thought I’d give this series a try. I loved this series so much more than I expected! First off, it is scorchingly hot! I love that the main character is a strong female who isn’t afraid to do things her way. The love triangle is cliche but it works with the storyline and is an interesting take on the biblical Caine & Able story. I did become frustrated with Eve and her double standards between the two brothers. My only real complaint is that I felt like the series should have been continued because I had some unanswered questions at the end of book 3 and needed the series to continue!
