Ах, лятото дойде, а с него започна лекичко да се топи и айсбергът, който служи за сърце на Тайю. Положението може и да е патриархат, но когато мерките на бащата станат твърде строги именно майката е тази, която въдворява истинския ред. Също така най-голямото щастие и най-страшният ужас за Шимана идват от едно и също място - любовта ѝ към Тайю (защо бе, защо не Зен?!), и сега предстои може би най-истинското изпитание на чувствата и на двамата - любов от разстояние. Остава само още един volume и историята ще срещне своя край. Нямам търпение!

I really liked this one, too. Things in this volume become more intense and difficult for everyone.

Zen is still my favourite character. He's so strong and upbeat even though his love is unrequited. He has more character than everyone put together. He's just so adorable.

I hope things will turn out good for Zen in the last volume...

Dreamin' Sun follows a girl named Shimana who runs away from home. She feels as if she is not wanted with her dad, his new wife and her younger brother. When she stumbles upon a guy in the park, she is invited to live with him and his other two roommates. What ensues from there is a story of falling in love and the difficulties that comes with that.
How did this manage to make me feel so happy, sad and utterly single all in one go? I want to know this manga's secrets.
All joking aside, I loved this volume of the manga. This has quickly become one of my favorite mangas that I've read. Ichigo Takano has a way of storytelling and drawing that just instantly sucks me in. I experienced so many emotions while reading this book from happiness to sadness. It was such a quick read but one that really filled me with so much joy.
As always, I love Shimana. She can be a bit naive at times but that adds to her charm as a main character. Zen is such a funny and adorable character and I just want him to be happy. Of course I also love Ashito and the Landlord in this as they add so much to the story. All these characters work together in their own sweet and quirky ways. I love what everyone brings to the story. This a very quiet story but one that packs an emotional punch.
I also have to give a quick shout out to the find Poko game in this. I love corgi's and having to find that little corgi throughout the manga makes this extra fun to read.
I am so nervous for the next volume of this because I have no idea of what is to come. Volume ten is going to be an emotional rollercoaster but I am so ready for it. This is definitely a manga series that I will be going back to and re-reading time and time again. If you're looking for a sweet and fast series to read, definitely pick this one up.

Wait—I was supposed to be rooting for the freaking *landlord* all this time?!? The landlord is an emotionally stunted man-child! This will never last! And what about Zen?!? I’ve been rooting for him, but now I’m supposed to be okay with throwing some hastily tossed-in new character at him? Argh!

It’s cool that he finished his manga, though.

I need to remember that this is very much a teen girl fantasy, so of course Taiga is the Prince Charming. But from a motherly perspective —no. Just no.

I think this is my least favorite of the series. I didn’t care for the number of times they called her an “idiot” or “stupid” just because she didn’t wear a two-piece to the beach 🙄. Plus, I’m becoming more uncomfortable with this relationship because of how young Shimana is and she acts younger than that which makes it more weird. And the constant “I love him but I’m going to flip out and run away when he holds my hand.” Is getting old. I hope the last book is better and shows some growth. Shimana hasn’t really changed bc she’s still dependent on others for emotional stability, but everyone else has grown in each book in some way. Maybe I’ve been expecting something more since I loved Orange so much.

Bộ truyện này cùng tác giả với bộ manga Orange (bộ này mình đọc thấy rất ưng) nên mình dự định mua về tìm đọc. Nhưng do giá cả bộ này khá đắt (không còn bán trên thị trường) nên mình tìm truyện trên mạng đọc thử xem nội dung như nào, nếu thực sự hay thì đắt một xíu mình cũng sẽ rước về.

Đọc xong mình mới cảm thấy may vì chưa bỏ tiền ra mua đống truyện này :)) Mới ngay từ đầu truyện mình đọc đã thấy nữ chính này đầu óc không được bình thường cho lắm, plot truyện không sát thực tế, cả một thế giới tình cảm tràn đầy màu hồng mà trong đó nữ chính là một con bé trẻ trâu, mít ướt, cả tin, ngu ngục :)

Nữ chính vì cảm thấy bố mẹ không còn yêu thương mình nên bỏ nhà ra đi. Trên đường đi gặp được một người đàn ông (chưa hề quen biết!), qua nói chuyện thì liền đồng ý theo anh ta về sống chung nhà với 2 người nam khác. Đọc đến đây mình kiểu wtf :))??????? Nữ chính không có một tí xíu cảnh giác nào với người khác giới, cứ thế sống chung nhà với 3 người đàn ông :) Điện thoại còn tắt nguồn. Mình không hiểu nổi cái thực tế ở đây 1 tí xíu nào. Ủa, biết bao nhiêu vụ án nữ sinh bị h.ã.m h.i.ế.p các thứ rồi nhưng plot truyện vẫn được xây dựng theo một chiều hướng như thể khuyến khích các bạn bỏ nhà ra đi rồi đến sống chung với người khác (chưa rõ giá cả nhà và người sống cùng ra sao) và tìm được tình yêu đích thực của đời mình.

Đã thế, diễn biến tình cảm của nữ chính cũng làm mình phát cáu. Mới chỉ quen biết 1 anh chàng ĐÚNG HAI NGÀY mà đã đâm ra thích luôn :))????? Truyện còn cẩu huyết hơn là thích người ta được mấy bữa, cảm thấy không có khả năng liền chuyển luôn qua thích người khác :))??? Cốt truyện kết thúc bằng việc nữ chính đậu đại học rồi hai người kết hôn và sống hạnh phúc :)) nghe như truyện cổ tích vậy. Trong khi đó, gia thế nhà nam chính rất phức tạp, nữ chính còn chưa trải đời, chưa có việc làm đã vội đâm đầu đi cưới, mình không hiểu sao nam chính và nữ chính lại có thể yêu nhau được :)))

Được cái art vẽ đẹp nên mình cho 2 sao.

This was a cute volume. There’s nothing much more to say honestly. I still love zen the most. How much he loves and cares about Shimana and how he’s always there for her, even if it hurts him. The landlord is okay but zen is superior and I wish the author would have paired Shimana and zen together because they make sense. This volume follows our 4 friends as they spend the last week in the house together. The landlord is getting transferred to another city and it’s too far away. Shimana realizes it might be impossible to see him frequently and she comes up with a plan with zen. If the landlord quits his job he wouldn’t have to transfer. With the help of his old teacher they find info about colleges and careers so he can fulfill his dream of becoming a teacher. However, in the end it doesn’t work. He doesn’t want to and he gave up on that dream. During the beach trip, the landlord tells Shimana to go out with zen for him since he’s leaving the city and moving to another one. But Shimana loves him and she finds herself unable to love another man. The night before the big day, taiga invites Shimana to his house and she meets his mom, who is lovely and she gives her a kimono. She loves taiga and she gets along with Shimana, however Fujiwara arrives and things get worse. Taiga decides to leave in the end and they go back to the house, where they decided to spend the night together with the rest of the housemates. Zen is feeling sad but he managed to finish his boxing manga. He saw Shimana pursuing her dream with the landlord and he got inspired and it was lovely. Also the popular girl has feelings for zen and she confessed to him and gave him a bunch of panda cookies and it was lovely. I hope she would be endgame with zen because he deserves it so much. In the end the landlord decides to stay one more day before moving and they want to spend it together, the four of them. I can’t wait to see what the last volume is about

He has finally confessed... Thank God.

Frankly speaking, the few pages where Shimana went over to his house and they were in his room together was so unbearable. She kept being insecure and jealous over the sensei when he already assured her that he likes her?! And when she kept interrupting him. Gosh. That annoyed me to no end. Another thing I'd like to point out is how Shimana remarked that Taiyou is a gentleman when he left her to change into the yukata. Yet she "thought he would stay while she changed". Where are your principles, Shimana... Shimana was lowkey insufferable in this volume.

Other than that, Zen's reply to the cute girl about her confession was so sweet.

Zen's truly the best boy, rooting for Shimana for her happiness and giving her the space to lean on him and helping her whenever she needs help... To the point of drawing boundaries with Shimana (swatting away her hand when she tried to offer her handkerchief)..

I know this volume was suppose to be a more somber one because of Taiga’s upcoming move/transfer, but I just love how much his mother adored Shimana. It was just adorable to see how well they got along.
Also, I’m incredibly happy to see Zen finally moving on with his dream as well as a possible new love.

This came in unexpectedly from a request over a year old. I hadn't planned to continue as I don't particularly like the main love interest. It's been so long, I'm not attached to any of the characters anymore. I think that made my enjoyment go up, though, as I wasn't as bothered by the main character's questionable choices.

I am invested. I need to know where and how this is going to end. Part of the charm of this series is that the main characters/love interests are such idiots. It's a huge departure from the masterpiece that is Orange, but they are each enjoyable in their own right.

A pretty straight forward shoujo manga. Very binge-able. The love line between the main couple can be considered pretty slow burn. It took a few books before the female lead realize her feelings. Well, in this book Taiyou's mother stole the show!

I’m patiently waiting for Volume 10, and I don’t know how much longer I can wait!! This volume ended on such a cliff hanger. This is one of my absolute favorite mangas to read.
