What a great read that is everything and more that I thought it would be after reading the synopsis. The story is about life and decisions, about where you are, what you need and what you finally realize is what you want. It's about love, family and friendship and when life throws you curve balls these are what matter the most. The author does a great job putting all of this and more in a story that is so descriptive you feel you're there with the characters. I can't wait to read more and hope w ...more

This was a fun book. Living in Sonoma I enjoyed reading about the place I’ve come to love. How it can work it’s magic. A perfect setting for this story. I look forward to the next book in the series.

This book is unique in that it was written by two authors who share a voice so well I read the whole thing through and felt like it came from one person.

I’m not big on romance stories, only reading a small amount compared to everything else I enjoy, but this story was written well and didn’t feel too over the top like we tend to see in the genre. It’s a great blend of excitement and character building (and it is incredibly easy to get lost in these characters). I typically complain a

Seriously, people. I needed this book! I needed the emotions it gave me, I needed the comic relief, and I needed the reminder to slow down and appreciate life and the people in it.

When I first started reading it I had a life full of distractions so I was having a really hard time getting into it. I would read a little and feel like I wasn't following or something. My first thought was that the book was lacking something. Then, I kind of stepped back and realized that my l

A cute fun read, slowing down rethinking life and enjoying what life brings you. The plot is good with lots of details given pulling you in. I enjoyed watching Kitty work through her issues in this love triangle, the humor was good even laughed and chuckled a time or two. The twists and turns are cut and fun, a very entertaining read that kept my attention. The characters are likable, the story is believable and realistic. I liked how strong and sure Kitty is over everything but her love life. S ...more

Home Sweet Sonoma is a relevant, character-driven story. Georgia James and Deborah Parrish make their characters come to life as relatable people with rich descriptions of their setting, everyday life, and thoughts and emotions. They very quickly seem like real people. For me, that was the highlight of the book, not the actual plot of the book, though you can’t have one without the other, of course.

Still, the dialog between characters and the inner thought processes are what really move the sto

Home Sweet Sonoma is a sweet romance that never gets fluffy because of some lovely bittersweet moments. I especially like how grief plays such an integral part of the story. I love the characters and how they grow over the course of this book.
The setting is lovely. The authors pay so much attention to detail when describing Sonoma and now I really want to visit the town, and the Sunflower Café of course.
I also really enjoyed how everyone in the book interacts and I can’t wait to find out what

What an impressive story! I had a great time reading this book, I love romance novels, and especially funny ones. Kitty was definitely my favorite character, she had way too much going on with those men in her life! I also love her go getter personality, she is determined to make it and won’t let anything get in her way. However, I could not stand Nick, he seemed like he was more into himself than he was into Kitty. I was like, can’t you see that this man is not feeling you?! I can’t stand it wh ...more

Contemporary romance at its best. San Francisco and it's charms- the slow country pace of Sonoma- the center of the universe NYC are all part of Kitty's world. She has 2 men from different worlds vying for her attention. She idolized her deceased father and has to deal with the loss of her mother whom she never had time for. The authors skillfully depict Kitty as she goes from a woman who puts work first, unravels secrets, and comes to an epiphany. Grab a glass of wine-preferably one from Sonoma ...more

I enjoyed very much reading this novel. The characters are deeply engaging, I developed a relationship with all of them and will remember their names and distinctive characteristics for a long time. This story could very easily become a hit as a Netflix series and I rather read the book. The plot is captivating and the twists are endless and entertaining. Some scenes have been fixed in my mind due either to their force, their tenderness or their sheer vitality. This book is a gift from two highl ...more

Very enjoyable, sweet read. Also about family and what happens when their gone. I love how Kitty is such a strong woman except when it comes to her boyfriend Nick, ugh!!! But fate has a way of making things right!!! Love that this story is based in the Bay Area where I'm from, and beautiful Sonoma, which if you've never visited, you need to. A wonderful contemporary romance!!
