“You weren’t supposed to matter. No woman ever has. Yet I can’t let you walk away.” 💚 Woooooooo!! On a scale of 1 to holy shit that was HOT - MONEY MAN had me blushing on more than one occasion...and that was just in the first chapter! Kalen is a sexy, dirty talking Scot, who has his sights set on sweet Bailey. Their chemistry was off the charts and I thoroughly enjoyed the cat and mouse chase between them!! Once I started this one, I couldn’t stop and I can’t wait to find out what’s going to happen. HURRY UP Terri, I need the next book ASAP!!! 🤣🙈

This book...This MAN... he is my kind of MC...full of himself and the perfect blend of cocky and jerk so you want to kick him in the you know what but God is he sexy as hell all at the same time. And the plot/story line had me completely wrapped up and flipping the pages until the final one. This is one of those books you hate to see ending. I loved both character arcs--they were perfection. Bailey was a delight. She was not the pushover I had at first believed she was going to be and if there's one thing I love is a kick ass heroine. But OMG... let's talk about the Steam Factor. Terri opened this book up with one giant BANG and I mean BANG if you get me. Read this...you won't regret it. 5 Banging Stars. Keep the AC running on extra high.

This book started out with a bang, literally. And from the moment I started reading it, I could not put it down. When I go to the end, I could not stop thinking about it. I honestly wasn't sure what to do with myself at that point. I had no idea what to red next or how I would even b able to concentrate on anything else. This book was HOT and steamy. The hero is an arrogant, cocky, domineering, jerk of a man, and I LOVED him!!
Bailey grew up in a world that is so much different from the one she is living in now. She found out her fiancé was cheating on her and is now living with her best friend and trying to move on. She starts bu having hot sex in the bathroom with a complete stranger. something that goes against every moral that has been instilled in her since birth. But despite her feeling awful for what she did, she does not regret it. When fate brings this sext stranger to her once again, she cannot resit. Kalen Brinner is going to ruin her in so many ways. But she cannot stay away, and she's not so sure that she wants to.
Bailey is a girl who grew up in a world so completely different from where she is now. Growing up she was taught that sex is for pro-creating and she is to wait until marriage. She lived a very sheltered life in a community that made it all seem normal. It wasn't until she went to college on her own that she really experienced life. It was a whole new word to her, and while having sex with a stranger goes against everything that she was taught, she didn't regret it. Probably because one night was not enough. I loved Bailey, and loved watching her grow, struggles with her emotions and her beliefs. But what I loved the most was her friendship with her best friend Izzy.
Kalen is a complete mystery, not knowing too much about him, his past or what he does for a living. On an intimate level they were very acquainted with each other. But on a personal and emotional level there was still so much to learn. The layers of Kalen Brinner were very slowly peeled back to reveal who he really is. As the reader you basically know who he is and you are waiting for that moment when it is all revealed and even though you know it is coming, I still don't think that I was prepared for it. I wasn't ready for the emotions it brought out and what happened next.
Kaken and Bailey's story is hot and sexy. Their chemistry was palpable, and intense and so steamy. I admit that there were a lot of sex scenes, but I think that this book was really setting the stage for their love story in a way. they connected on a sexual level from the very beginning, and that's all it was supposed to be. I wouldn't say this was insta love at all, but it certainly was insta lust. there is so much more to these two characters, and while the author explored some of their lives, I cannot wait to see more and dig deeper into them.
This is a trilogy so there is a cliffhanger. We are left hanging in a big way, with a little bit of broken heart. I need the next book immediately, no pressure though. I truly did not know what to do after I was finished with this one. I was lost in a way because I became so invested in their story that I could not pick up another book. I will be patiently waiting for the next book.

Y’all this book sucked me right in from the first chapter and kept me turning those pages well into the night until I read that last page.

I think this might be my first book by Terri E. Laine.

well, it happens...
Anyway, about the book...I can't get into re-telling, cause it ends with a cliffy so I guess you'll have to either be pulled in by the blurb itself or just go in blind, like I did.
even though, you could predict the way it would end, it was all coming towards it, STILL you can't escape that gutting feeling of "yikes" when the actual ending comes...damn
in just a few words....there's pent up mystery for the first pages...it's an affair of forbidden taste and unknown identities...and the stakes are high...
and one major plus - the HERO...he's simply the cocky ALPHA-asshole you just can't help but want more with each next page...hawt damn!

Terri completely blew my mind with this book. This story is steamy, a little bit angsty and totally unputdownable! Kalen and Bailey's chemistry is off the charts and I loved the constant push and pull between them. Annnnnd... HOT ALPHA ALERT! Kalen is one of these characters we hate to love. He's a total jerk, full of himself, but he's also oh, so delicious! Terri E. Laine put also some secrets in this story and I loved to unravel them along with the heroine. This read was fast-paced, hot and I was completely engrossed with the storyline! I can't wait to have the second book in this series in my hands!

I’m in love. I know, I know, I always seem to fall hard for the leading men, but I swear, this is true love. Kalen Brinner is perfect. Yes he’s a bit of a controlling take charge alpha, but when push comes to shove I believe he’s got a soft side, I think there’s so much more to him than book 1 shows us (yes, it is a cliffie, and yes, I’m devastated I’ve got to wait, but on the plus side, I get more Kalen, and that’s not a bad thing, far from it). Like most of my book boyfriends, Kalen doesn’t do relationships, doesn’t even consider it, until Bailey Glicks walks into his life. Bailey is a good girl, a very good girl, who has been wronged by her fiancé, she’s sick of lying, cheating men, but isn’t that what her sexy one night stand is turning out to be?? I loved it, from the very first page I was hooked, the synopsis says it all, the writing was perfect, the characters great, and the chemistry between Kalen and Bailey was off the charts. These two were on fire. Bailey’s ex Scott was a real douchbag, but got to say her bestie, Lizzie, was my kinda girl, positive, cheeky, and always supporting. I can’t wait to see where book 2 takes us. I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review.

This book is out of this world amazing. Terri E. Laine has blown my mind and left me with my jaw on the floor. I needed a few hours to collect my thoughts and feelings in order to write a review worthy of this epic masterpiece. This entertaining story sucks you in right from the start and holds you captive until you've reached the end breathless and begging for more. Money Man has a fast paced and well thought out plot with great dialogue and multi-layered, intriguing characters. If you prefer your romance novels to be sexy and angsty with a little bit of suspense thrown into it than this is a must-read for you.
Bailey meets a gorgeous guy at a New Year's Eve party one night and ends up having a hot tryst with him in the hotel's bathroom. She is drunk and brokenhearted after dumping her cheating ex fiance. Bailey is usually very responsible and reasonable due to her conservative upbringing but for only once she wants to forget and be a bad girl. It's not like she will ever see him again. After this she can just go back to her old life and be her boring self again. Or so she thought...
From the moment Kalen saw the red-haired vixen he needed to have her. And he always gets what he wants. They don't call him the Money Man for nothing. Kalen's life is currently complicated and he needs to stay focused in order to achieve his goals but he simply can't get her out of his head. Too bad his current obsession turns out to be the auditor who could be his potential downfall...
I've absolutely adored the two main protagonists of this story. They were equally matched partners despite their different social backgrounds. Bailey grew up in an Amish-like community which she left after college in order to go to New York. She is used to a simple, honest life. Her douchebag of a fiance did a number on her and left her second guessing her worth as a woman. Let me tell you that Bailey had a lot of sass and was no doormat heroine. That's why Kalen was so infatuated with her. She wasn't only beautiful but hard-working, smart and kind-hearted. I'm so glad that a great guy like him was able to capture her heart. Kalen was a swoon-worthy, Scottish Alpha dreamboat. His bossy, sexy and dirty talking mouth will set your panties on fire! This is exactly the kind of perfect romance novel hero I want to read about.
I loved the sizzling chemistry between Bailey and Kalen. They were dynamite together in the sack.
I could seriously gush about this fantastic story and the irresistible chacters for hours. This book has consumed my every waking thought and I can't freaking wait to read the next installment. Money Man ends on a heartstopping cliffhanger - which was no surprise since this is a series. I'm eager to find out how the story continues and what Terri has in tow for my beloved characters. This amazingly talented author truly deserves a standing ovation for writing such a compelling story which goes straight to my top favorites of 2019 shelf. I'm giving this little gem 5+ stars!!!

Wow!!! Terri E Laine, just knocked my socks off with her new book Money Man. It took me a couple of hours after I've finished the story to come up with a review. It was that phenomenal. The plot was as intriguing as the characters. And I don't only mean the main two. But what made me love it so much was the fact that it was sexy, entertaining and absolutely unputdownable! It's true that Money Man is much steamier and a little different from this talented author's other work, but I loved it all the same.
After being cheated on by her fiancé, Bailey calls of her engagement and moves in with her best friend Lizzie. They both end up at a New Years Eve party in a fancy hotel, where drunk Bailey gets her mind blown by a sexy and mysterious stranger at the bathroom. This behavior is usually not her, after all she grew up in an Amish like community. But for one night she wants to let loose and after that, she'll be back at being a good girl. It's not like she will ever see the guy again, right?
Kalen is infatuated by the beautiful redhead from the moment he sees her. One time is all she’s meant to be. But one taste of her only makes him crave for more. He soon can't stop thinking about her which is a distraction he doesn't need. After all he has an empire to conquer and no time for anything else. When life throws them in each other's path again, they both realize that there's no avoiding the inevitable. The pull between them is too strong to be denied. I feel like I have been waiting for forever for the release of Money Man by Terri E Laine. I was so excited when it landed on my kindle. I devoured this book in one day!!
I found this storyline very intriguing and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.
My only disappointment with this book, is that I wish I would’ve been made aware that this wasn’t a standalone novel and that it is Book 1 of this duet. I was reading along and loving the story then BAM!!! CLIFFHANGER!!! I don’t mind reading books with a cliffhanger if I know ahead of time. My biggest concern now is where my thoughts have gone to when it comes to the next book. I have a theory in my head and I am scared, because it takes this story in a direction I don’t like reading about. I really hope we don’t have long to wait for the next book. That is the ONLY reason I didn’t give this book 5 stars.
As for the characters….I don’t know where to start. Bailey is the heroine of the story and I loved her but I also wanted to smack her at times. Just when I thought…YES she has a back bone and is putting him in his place, she flips and just turns over….frustrating, but she is still a great heroine. I do wish we would’ve gotten a little bit more on her backstory. We get bits and pieces, so we know kind of how she was raised, but I think we need more. I am hoping with the way this book ended we will get to see more into her family life. Kalen….I don’t even know where to begin with this Hero. He is everything I don’t like in a Hero but then I couldn’t help but fall for him and root for him. He is cocky and arrogant and you can tell he is keeping secrets. But we do get glimpses into his softer and caring side. I really hope we see more of that side of him in the next book.

Also let me give you some warning….have a fan and a tall glass of cold water for when reading this book. The sexy times are off the hook HOT!!! I will say that I thought there was quite a bit of sexy times in this book, but it was a great balance between that and actual storyline content. I didn’t feel like all I was reading about was sex. Terri added in some shockers, serious emotion and some laughs to keep the reader entertained.
I would recommend this book to all of Terri E Laine fan out there. This is a different side of her that I think all her fans will enjoy. If you aren’t a huge fan of cliffhangers, then you might want to wait until both books are released. But I will say this cliffhanger isn’t that terrible….it really just leaves you wanting more NOW!!!!

I feel like I have been waiting for forever for the release of Money Man by Terri E Laine. I was so excited when it landed on my kindle. I devoured this book in one day!!
I found this storyline very intriguing and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.
My only disappointment with this book, is that I wish I would’ve been made aware that this wasn’t a standalone novel and that it is Book 1 of this duet. I was reading along and loving the story then BAM!!! CLIFFHANGER!!! I don’t mind reading books with a cliffhanger if I know ahead of time. My biggest concern now is where my thoughts have gone to when it comes to the next book. Money Man is better than I was hoping, worse than I expected, and downright evil in it's cliffhanger!

Kalen Brinner and Bailey Glicks are thrown together on New Year's Eve by fate. She sees a tiny opportunity to assert her freedom and takes it.obviously coming from a constricted and isolated upbringing, guilt follows soon after.
I loved the first scene simply because Kalen walks away guilt free. It was supposed to be this way but fate keeps throwing them together and passion takes its course. The book ends on a Turn-"er" and you need to wait for book 2.
The writing was good, plot was interesting. I had it figured out pretty early on. Some things didn't sit so well with me, but overall a good story.

This story ends in a cliffhanger! Be forewarned!
Had I known I would not have started this as I don't like starting series unless all the parts are out. I have no idea if this is going to be a duet or a trilogy but I'm not all that keen to find out.
Our h basically grew up in an amish type community and has broken free. She's got herself a job after college and is doing things that would get her excommunicated like having sex before marriage, using technology, partying, etc... She's practically a virgin as she's only been with 2 men before our H comes along as a one night stand she has sex with in a bathroom stall on news years eve (classy) after just weeks of breaking it off with her cheating x-fiance.
Where or where do I even begin? She is incredibly annoying I kept wanting to dnf this book. Her constant insecurities, snap judgments, and always running away instead of HAVING A CONVERSATION gets old really fast. I also can't stand when the heroine is written where she's so tongued tied that if she sees the H somewhere she's basically incapable of having a conversation with someone else or focusing on anything because she's so 'lost' in him, especially when they've only been together one time. (eye roll).
The H in this story is little better. After their one night stand, he doesn't ask for her number, just takes off and leaves her in the bathroom stall with her panties around her ankles. The only reason they meet up again is because she runs into him at a restaurant (not that he looks for her) where she's 'incapable of walking away' despite him acting like a total douche bag. They continue to meet up where he basically treats her like a fuck buddy and 'expects' her to jump at a moment's notice when he needs to get his rocks off.
It wasn't until MUCH LATER in the story that we start to see and learn little bit more about him. But at this point everything is incredibly boring and it's hard to stay awake. I realized who he 'really was' right from the beginning so if the author was trying to leave that as a plot twist, it wasn't a very good one, it was way too obvious. This story would basically have nothing happening in it if people just learned to 'speak' with each other. I find that to be lazy writing when the author can't do any better than writing miscommunication over and over and over again.
At the every end when I discovered the cliff hanger I wanted someone to shoot me. I already know what's going to happen in the next book and I have no idea why this has been split up. There's really just a bunch of nothing going on with the exception of, who wrote those notes?
This is the kind of story that I'll basically have forgotten about by the end of the day and when the next part comes around I'm not all that sure I care about reading it. The sexy scenes were pretty good, I'll give the author that and the only reason why I gave this another star. Lots of people will enjoy I'm sure, I guess I'm just one of the few that's scratching her head saying, why?

Poor Bailey, her life so far has been ruled by domineering, arrogant males. From the world in which she was raised to a cheating slime ball ex. But she is finally on her own and trying to start over. Living with her best friend she is gradually beginning to trust her own judgement and make her own choices and then.... bam... she has a totally out of character, in the moment episode which turns out to be the hottest night of her life!!!! Oops... that wasn’t meant to happen!!
The out of character blip? Oh that was Kalen... a very hot, very sexy Scot who sends Bailey’s world into a complete tail spin..... lots of twists and bad decisions follow and eventually leave us with lots more questions than answers....
I really enjoyed this first part from Ms Laine. I found Bailey to be a bit frustrating sometimes as she was a tad indecisive but I warmed to her and found myself cheering her on. Kalen is just delicious. Plenty of very steamy moments and some good dialogue. Also great supporting characters...
I can’t wait to see where this story goes as the ending definitely left me wanting more😉😁

5 minutes in and I was addicted!
Kalen’s confident, cocky and crass attitude won me over instantly, he was a sexy jerk that at times I could see why Bailey wanted to slap him yet other times couldn’t resist him. I’m Scottish and have never noticed before the effect the word lass could have ; )
He was the perfect MC to help Bailey get over her ex and have some fun with.
I loved both MCs, Bailey wasn’t as mousy as she first seemed and it was good to see her loosening up and getting over the insecurities her ex had installed in her. She turned out to be pretty badass when she needed to. I also loved when she stood up to her ex!
The story had me hooked, I was a little gutted when I realised I was almost at the end. Then the cliffhanger came!! I wasn’t prepared for a cliffhanger and need book 2 to be here ASAP, I need more of Kalen and Baileys story.
A steamy, sexy romance with brilliant characters and a great story. You won’t be disappointed...so go read it!

Oh my goodness!! I went in blind and I’m loving Money Man!! That cliffy at the end and I am in need of book 2!!! Terri did an amazing job with these characters. Just the right amount of alpha and sexiness you want in a H. Can’t wait to see how Bailey navigates through the mess and how she’ll deal with the secrets.

The question is, where we will ef next?” Kalen just spouts poetry, " ...my ***k is a loyal son of a ****h and only has eyes for you.” I liked this book, I loved Kalen.

Beta read this part of a duet. It starts with a bang in the steamy department. A New Year’s Eve that will be memorable for the both of them. Lizzy never thought she would see Kalen again but faith as other plans for them.
This is a great story that sucked me in and didn’t let up until the cliffhanger. They have great chemistry going on. It was intriguing and quite entertaining. This part is not meant to be read as a standalone, it’s the start. Bottomline this is a must read.

I've been dying to read this book since Terri has been teasing it from the beginning. Finally, and she didn't disappoint. Right off the opening, its HOT, it pulls you into these two characters. Bailey and Kalen are total opposites, how they grew up, how they live their life, everything. A one night stand in the bathroom of a bar sets off a plethora of it all. Mystery man, Kalen can't just get enough of Bailey. There are secrets, complications, opposites attraction and it makes you want these two to get their happily ever after so badly. Bailey is working for a company that is doing the auditing for his father's company, but everyone has heard of the King brothers/or the "Money Man" but has never seen him. He is Kalen. There is so much that goes with the whole story, but I am hoping to find out more in the next book. Yes, this is a cliffhanger, and I'm dyinggg for the next one!!!! I really enjoyed this one, and could not put it down!

Bailey and Kalen were as different as chalk and cheese but as soon as they meet their chemistry is sizzling. They soon embark on a sort of friends with benefits relationship but as feelings start to come into play and secrets and lies are revealed do they really stand a chance.
