A beautiful collection of photographs taken by Schatzberg during the production of Bob Dylan’s “Highway 61”
and his groundbreaking 1966 LP “Blonde on Blonde.” Although we can never know the exact thoughts that lied beneath the curly head of hair on Dylan’s head, we can have a hint at his personality and his genius, and we can wonder.

The Jonathan Lethem interview could use a little more Jerry Schatzberg and a lot less Jonathan Lethem, but the images are revelatory. Dylan at his most iconic. I reviewed Dylan by Schatzberg for The Current.
