A poetry chapbook by a 17-year-old Nigerian poet about the perils, anxieties, and alienations of being young and queer, of feeling monstrous, feeling winged. Blurbed by Kaveh Akbar, Chen Chen, Jayy Dodd -- I expect we'll be hearing more from this young poet in years to come.

Bought this because I fell completely in love with one of the author's poems I found online. While none of the poems in this collection touched me as deeply and as viscerally, there was a lot of beauty and a lot of powerful personal feeling. Definitely a poet worth watching. ...more
