Super powers.
Super harem.
Super awesome.

Contains Adult Content. Seriously.

Who in their right mind tells both his lawyer and the judge presiding over his murder trial, “Fuck you!” while still in the courtroom? No one, right? Yeah, you’d be wrong about that. I did.

You’d say the same thing if you were just found guilty of a murder you didn’t commit, though. Call me

I listened to “Supers: Ex-Heroes” because I’ve enjoyed various superhero/ supervillain audiobooks recently, and this new release caught my eye. Yes, the blurb sounds like an adolescent male fantasy, but that’s the same thought that almost kept me from listening to Elliott Kay’s excellent “Good Intentions”. Alas, sometimes a book really can be judged by it’s blurb.

“Supers: Ex-Heroes” does not explore the concepts of good and evil, it presents a story of pretty much non-stop sex between MC Chad an

So, this is pretty much a comic book sex fantasy. There's the hot crazy girl, the smart crazy girl, the crazy girl, and then there's actually a plot in here. The story is well written for the audience it's going after. There's nothing here to make this book of the century, but it is a solid book in the genre it's in. If you looking for something with plot, sex and super solid story line, this is it. It's almost as if this was an anime/manga where the MC actually does what he should be doing inst ...more

This book is exactly what I expected based on the title and synopsis: a lot of super powers, a lot of sex, not the greatest plot or the most developed characters, but still a lot of fun. Imaging, if you will, a cross between penthouse magazine and marvel comics and this is what you would get. It was a fun read.

1 star, I put a book down. 2 stars, I wouldn't read again and won't pick up a sequel. 3 stars, I won't read again, but maybe the sequel would move forward. 4 stars, I enjoyed it and would recommend it to a friend. 5 stars, I'll reread it, recommend it.

If I could give this 2 1/2 stars I would. That is because, unlike Fostering Faust where I was willing to pick up the sequel (when/if it shows up) because components of the plot were compelling enough to outweigh the annoyances, Hawke's books are fr

Loved it

I really enjoyed this story it was rather intriguing. I really liked the 2 female MC's Charm and Twitch, the main character wasn't to bad. I am already ready the next one about his brother. Looking forward to seeing more of the girls hopefully in the near future.

Good Read

Framed for a crime he did not commit, the main character gets transported across the universe to be a hero (without powers). He does have power, but he must acquire them in a certain way. Note: the story does have adult situations.

It is definitely "Action" packed.

The story has a very interesting premise. I will admit I do not usually read books with this much "action. However I knew what I was getting into before starting. I fyou don't care for that kind of book might want to move on but if you can get past it the story is good.

Different take on supers, but great read

Well written, fast pace, very enjoyable, be warned its adults only lol. But then again that's part of the charm. Overall I'd recommend this book.

Could have been good

A lot of potential almost all of it wasted. This book feels like it was churned out quickly for a bunch of horny teenagers. I liked the hero I would lose it if I was convicted of murder also but after that it became so bad I started skipping pages

I like serious fantasy and sci-fi books, with intrigues and mysteries and tense moments. But sometimes I just wanna read some porn in literature form.

And this is what the book is to me.

Supers: Ex Heroes - a review by Rosemary Kenny

The term sexy romp is an understatement, but that doesn't detract from the general upbeat comic book-style story, with its elements of harem eroticism and Game Lit,
which is sure to win Jamie Hawke a legion of new fans.

Chad is stunned when his brother appears as a hero, in a blink and you'd miss it rescue from a street mugging. Trouble is he's left to carry the can when one of the muggers dies and Chad's the only suspect! Sent to a vast prison colony

Steamy, sexy, hot, murderous fun!

I loved his book Planet Kill and this one is even hotter! Who would have thought that possible....50 Shades of Grey is sooo Vanilla compared to this! And a whole new meaning to foxy chick! Just don't say that to her tail....fur jokes! Pffft! Imagine "Hero's" , "X-Men and 100 shades of naughtiness....a bit of brutal superhero/supervillian warfare, stuck in a prison ship, a few star gates, annndddd.....having to choose potential allies from this ship....

Supers vs super-villains vs Supers

What would u do if suddenly u get framed for a crime u didn't commit then get pulled into another galaxy and find yourself on a spaces ship? Not a normal ship, but a prison spaceship filled with the super-villians and you have no powers (yet!).
Ya, this was a very fun read with lots of sea. The sex is because (spoiler), u get your powers from the other Supers with powers through sex... and your powers increase with the difference Supers u have set with... hee hee

I was warned

Well I guess I should pay more attention to the disclaimer at the front of the book. I was warned that ther3 was sex etc in the book just did not expect such graphic and frequent episodes. I'm a fan of the genre but more character development and less reliance on the sex gimmick would have been welcome. Maybe I'm a prude or maybe I just wanted more fighting etc . This could have been a fun read but it was just not developed enough and one dimensional. Maybe an explicit content cover,

Something Different

Certainly not a bad story, there are several like this, but this one did not grip me like others have. All the basic elements are there, but I found the action a little forced and simplistic, and the adult situations over the top and too much like you would find in Penthouse Forum.
There are; however, some interesting concepts which may develop nicely in future books.

The blurb for this book was bad and edge worthy. But I was recommended it, so I will give it a try.

What the hell am I reading? The mental gymnastics these two women are going through is crazy. The set up isn't even well though out. It seems the author just wanted to write a harem book.

Well that was bad, convoluted, and went nowhere. At no point in this book did I want to know more.

I've read better superhero and harem books.
The harem/erotic parts were either too easy, too frequent, or out of place. Just met someone? Time to get down. Bad guys around the corner? We've got time..
The superhero part/story is why it gets three stars. The story wasn't bad, the premise wasn't bad, and the editing was very good.

All in all, mediocre and I won't be reading the rest of the series.

Warning, excessive death.

As an adult harem story, excessive sex is to be expected. As a superhero story, the protagonist killing everyone in his way isn't. This combined with the graphic descriptions of extremely violent death makes for some uncomfortable scenes. There is a fight scene near the end in which the protagonists are extremely brutal and not at all heroic. As the protagonists were set up as heroes up to that point it was unexpected and not at all appreciated.

Shelves: dropped
This book might satisfy the teenage boy within you, but the constant sexual references and what basically amounts to sexual assault, gets in the way of what might be a decent plot.

While I only got about 20 minutes or so into the story, there was enough there for me to drop this.

You might enjoy this if you're looking for something to get off to, but if you're looking for story, you might need to look elsewhere.

Just OK.

Not to be confused with AJ Markam's Ex-Superheroes which is actually a much better book in my mind if you are looking for the Male Romance Novel involving superheroes action and sex.
This one had lots of sex and action also but it just didn't do it for me. I think it just took itself too seriously while the AJ Markam book was just a funny guilty pleasure.

Meh. The characters, the plot, the situation, even the sex scenes were all just okay. Not bad, but nothing that really engaged my interest. Not a waste of time, and I have to give Hawke credit for making the first book, at least, stand alone, not one of those "chop the story up into arbitrary chunks and publish each one as a full 'novel'" series. But I'm not going to bother with any more of them. I've got far better things to read. ...more

Terrible protagonist, Solid setup

The writing style is simplistic and a bit repetitive, but most of the characters are lively and interesting.
Too bad the lead is an idiot jerk, a weakling, and unworthy of the rewards he gets or my time.
The rest is serviceable, rising to good, despite the predictability.

Pretty good.

This was good but it took awhile for the characters to build up. There was little connection at first and it took most of the book to really build up into something to really keep me reading. Having said that I began to like the characters once the story began to pull me in. I gave it what I did more for the ending. Going to try book two next.

The best book I have read this year!

Amazingly written, amazing characters that seem to come alive, amazing world and setting , amazing character development, amazing flow, the only non-amazing thing was that I finished it in a day!

I highly recommend it , 5 out of 5

Now I am off to read the sequel !

This felt like a teenage boy thought, “Wouldn’t it be cool if I got superpowers and I could level up and use skill points like a videogame and a bunch of hot women wanted to constantly have sex with me” and then wrote a book about it. I gave it an extra star because it’s not my genre and I don’t think it was trying to more than what it was.
