We were like a match and gasoline together, destined to explode bringing everything down to ashes.
Beautiful Inferno is a story filled with anguish, hopelessness, suffering, and ultimately beauty in a place it shouldn't be found. This is a taboo love story as it centres around two individuals not meant to love each other.
I fell in love twice, with the same person.
And just like that I irrevocably fell in love, again, covered in my own blood.
Maya and Zeke grew up together. Where their parents and family repeatedly failed them, the one constant was each other. Being left behind, Maya is tired. The bone numbing kind that comes with working three jobs and being shrouded in despair and loneliness.
They say when your heart is exhausted the sweat runs from your eyes and that was right. I was exhausted from this life, from everything.
Fuck me, this book almost broke me. Zeke is forced to return after an absence of two years. The girl he once knew is gone and all that remains is a shell of emptiness and despair. But she needs him now more then ever before. But offering the salvation they both yearn for will be the ultimate sin.
“Actually, even this term is stupid. Someone I shouldn’t love. Shouldn’t why? Who decides that? Can someone choose who to fall in love with? How can people decide what’s right or wrong for me?”
Honestly, this is my second read and it repeatedly slayed me. And most concerning is that I didn't care who they were to each other because they truly deserved happiness after everything they endured. I imagine this relationship would be a hard limit for many, but all I could envision was beauty amongst the darkness...

I was the Dante in my own inferno and Maya was my sweetest hell.
I couldn't help myself, one look at the cover, one read of the synopsis and I was hunting this down like a deranged female!! And I'm so glad I took the plunge and read this. Scorching hot, forbidden is an understatement, what is wrong in the eyes of the law was so right in this book, an undeniable connection that neither could deny. A love like no other. Leave your inhibitions at the door and take a plunge with Beautiful Inferno.
These two were closer than best friends, with only eight years separating them, they knew each other inside and out, what the other was feeling, thinking, a line got crossed and Zeke had to walk away to save Maya from sliding down a course of destruction where they would be shunned in the eyes of the law.
We were like a match and gasoline together, destined to explode brining everything down to ashes.
Two years later and she needs him, raised in a family where both her parents are reliant on substances Maya has no one to lean on other than Zeke.
This flits from past to present effortlessly, and allows for a deeper connection with these two characters, the agonising pain they both went through to not give into their feelings, the angst, the heartbreak, the darker side of life it all came together perfectly in this book.

Certamente este livro aborda um tema taboo e um romance “proibido”, porém nada chocante ou muito diferente, que se destacasse dentre os que eu já li.
Pelo fato da sinopse ser misteriosa e não entregar praticamente nada... confesso que fiquei um pouco decepcionada pois esperava mais.
A história é narrada em primeira pessoa, com capítulos alternados entre povs da Maya e Zeke. Há alguns flashbacks do passado, o que dá um entendimento maior de como era relacionamento dos personagens.
Tive a impressão de que a história foi “resumida” e não devidamente contada.
Na minha opinião, tudo aconteceu e se resolveu de forma rápida, talvez se o enredo fosse desenvolvido e trabalhado com mais calma eu não ficaria com esse sentimento de que faltou algo. De que havia mais a ser explorado... Faltou mais emoção e mais profundidade.
Como disse, eu tinha grandes expectativas e mesmo que não tenha me surpreendido, acho que posso considerar este livro como uma leitura okay, visto que os personagens não me irritaram no decorrer da história como aconteceu nas leituras passadas... *lol*
Mas nada além disso, pois não consegui me conectar completamente com nenhum dos dois... e o amor que ambos afirmavam ter não me convenceu.

4.5 BEAUTIFUL STARS
How do you review a book that has a really vague blurb and you want it to be that way without you giving away too much? I mean I know how to express my feelings, but I really don’t intend to spoil and give things away. I'm just going to say that Maya and Zeke are struggling with their feelings for each other and because of the society's standards they are considered to be forbidden.
I went into this book completely blind, trusting solemnly my instincts and my desire to read a taboo dark romance. And I’m so happy I did that! I didn’t feel uncomfortable, I actually really enjoyed the taboo aspect of the book, no matter if people consider it twisted or forbidden or whatever. I was completely on board with these characters and I could feel their chemistry, their connection and I understood why they felt that way.
So, I give points for the characters, I give points for the plot, for the situation and the development of it. What would make me give this book 4.5 instead of 5 stars is the way the last chapters seemed to be shorter and shorter and how fast everything escalated near the end giving me an almost abrupt ending. In my opinion always, things seemed to be rushed around the last 20% of the book. Other than that, it’s a perfectly executed story and a beautifully written book.
This is my first book by Abby and I was hesitant to delve into, because I didn’t know what I would meet, I didn’t want to be disappointed because even though she’s someone I respect, I would still rate and review in an honest way and that would make me sad. I always get stressed when friends ask me to read their books, for that reason, but I never favor them just because I know them, so I’m very pleased to say that this is in no way a biased review, but only 100% true from an avid reader with an open mind. If you like taboo, forbidden love stories, then go ahead and read this one.

3.5 stars!!
Okay, so I usually hate flashbacks in books, but Gale incorporated it really well!!! I actually looked forward to reading the flashbacks to get more insight on Zeke and Maya.
This book is a bit heartbreaking. Especially because it shows the reality of their situation. Y’know — extreme taboo since the h & H are actually blood related. Buuuuuut!! It has an insinuated HEA 😊
Okay so the reason why I rated this 3.5 even though in the first half of the book, I believed this to be a 5 star book is because somewhere in the middle it drifted off to me.
Without spoiling too much, their love went from forbidden and sweet (due to flashbacks) to something else.
Trigger warnings: attempted suicide, self-harm insinuation, cheating (not the MC), threesome (not the MC), drug abuse (not the MC), overdose (not the MC), and extreme bdsm — hitting (MC).
So, while Gale was keeping it super real, especially with their situation, I didn’t get that lovey-dovey vibe that I had been expecting. And towards the end, I was simply skimming the pages.
And the transition into the Dante references was kinda abrupt.
I think this is probably one of those instances where I put my expectations too high. As I usually do 😒
Nevertheless, I really loved the first half of the book and enjoyed the second half.
Also, btw. For anyone who’s read it, what did you think of Zeke’s Circle 9 room, lol? 👀

firstly, this was honestly one of the best taboo books so far.
it's so emotional and raw, almost as if you could feel both Maya and Zeke's pain and struggle. there were some detailed descriptions of Maya hurting herself (to put it nicely) and it so so heartbreaking. Maya is tired because no one is there for her, except Zeke. He's practically there for Maya since day one.
Zeke's love for Maya was.. undying, indestructible. staying away from Maya was the hardest thing, but he thought that was what he needed to.
damn, i might have cried a little here.
all in all, i don't want to spoil it too much but I thought its a rather tormenting, emotional yet beautiful book. the ending wrapped up the story nicely, and i'm so happy for both Maya and Zeke.

There are only a few authors out there who truly step outside the box. They aren't afraid of what is morally right or seen as acceptable. They go where the story takes them. They go where the characters are. They go where love is hidden in the least likely places. Some readers might heed the warning and take a step back. Others like myself will go in, read the story, and find a rare gem.
There are few words that kept circling in my brain. Taboo. Forbidden. Dante's Inferno. The taboo and the forbidden factor within the story drew me in at first. Yet... I feel Dante was the one that made me fall in the love. The main characters, Maya and Zeke, had a love that tested the limits. I hope this author does another story that brings on the forbidden.
I leave you with these two quotes from Dante.
* The path to paradise begins in hell.
*Remember tonight.. for it is the beginning of always.

This story played out like a movie in my minds eye. This story grabbed hold of me from the very beginning and I held on for one unbelievable ride all the way through. Zeke and Maya, these two provide us with a perfect blend of forbidden romance with just the right amount of Taboo you’d like in a dark romance read. What I wouldn’t do to experience Circle 9, what to know what I’m taking about? You need to grab your copy of this book. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

“Beautiful Inferno” is Dark and gritty and I really liked it!!! Maya is a tough girl and she goes through so much before she finally breaks. It doesn’t shy away from the hurt. It shows her struggles but it also shows her working through them with Zeke. Zeke and Maya are so good together and I know their forbidden but it didn’t even matter they were so meant for each other! They are each others anchor and I loved it!! This book was definitely dark and sexy at times!! Zeke is so sexy!! I love how dark this book got!! Maya and Zeke had a connection that is defiantly hard to break no matter how much distance they put between them. I loved them!!! They way the depend on each other and care for each other is amazing!! It was un put downable. I read this in 2 days!!! I just wanted to hold on to this story! I had to know what was going to happen with Maya and Zeke! The ending was a little fast but other than that I really enjoyed this book!! Plus this cover is so perfect!!! Abby has written a really good book!!

My first book to read by Abby Gale and it was amazing. A forbidden/taboo/dark romance. This story is a standalone about Maya and Zeke written in dual perspectives.
You can't help who you fall in love with but what do you do when it's completely forbidden?

Zeke has feelings for Maya. He struggles to do the right thing. Maya feels the same about him. It doesn't make things easier when Zeke lives with his brother and sister-in-law, an alcoholic and drug addict. Their also Maya's parents.
Maya doesn't have anyone to turn to except for Zeke. He's always there for her. Promising to never leave her but when the forbidden happens he breaks his promise. Maya is forced to work three jobs to keep a roof over their heads and take care of her parents. Her body is tired. Two years has passed. She's losing her fight to live. There's only one person she's thinking of and she calls him. With no hesitation he's back in her life but when he sees her she's not the same person he used to know. It's killing him to see her this way and there's only one thing that will truly save her but is he willing to give into temptation and risk it all?

This is my first book by Abby Gale and I very much enjoyed it! Beautiful Inferno is a deliciously dark and steamy Taboo that leave no question in your mind about whether the Hero and Heroine should be together.
I am an open minded reader, with no triggers and love to have my preconceptions and boundaries pushed into the grey area of uncertainty. However there is a warning at the beginning of the novel some readers may wish to take head of; but if you love Taboo and the Darker side of romance then dive on in!
Beautiful Inferno is about Maya and Zeke 8 years apart in age and have grown up together, survived and suffered through a truly shitty home environment. They both looked to each other for comfort and light amongst all their darkness. As the years pass and they mature, feelings begin to change and lines blur making them easy to cross - Zeke makes the decision to leave unknowingly destroying Maya in the process.
2 years later we learn Maya's life has not improved. At age 20 what she endures everyday is no life at all, she has done everything in her control to survive the life she refuses to leave and one day decides enough is enough; and makes the decision to say a final goodbye to Zeke. This moment in the book for me was so well written. Abby Gale captured the desperation, the desolation that Maya feels because of the depravity that is her life now, the expression of tiredness of losing that fight was really touching and completely resonated with me and Maya firmly cemented herself in my heart.
From here on out Zeke re enters Maya's life and here their story comes to life. The present story interspersed with memories of the past, helps you attach further and reaffirms their love story. I loved the angst between the two characters. Maya stubborn, scared and hopeless outlook begins to sparkle back to life as Zeke works his way back under her skin. Zeke is soft and tender when needed, yet hard and masterful too. When the walls begin to crack and they give in to their feelings the chemistry leaps off the page and scorching is the word!
The story flowed well, gave me angst, a darker side to life and love and two broken souls converging again and proving that love has no boundaries, that the people who are meant to be will find each others light in the darkest of places. I look forward to reading more from Abby in the future.

Abby Gale captured the desperation, the desolation that Maya feels because of the depravity that is her life now, the expression of tiredness of losing that fight was really touching and completely resonated with me and Maya firmly cemented herself in my heart.
From here on out Zeke re enters Maya's life and here their story comes to life. The present story interspersed with memories of the past, helps you attach further and reaffirms their love story. I loved the angst between the two characters. Maya stubborn, scared and hopeless outlook begins to sparkle back to life as Zeke works his way back under her skin. Zeke is soft and tender when needed, yet hard and masterful too. When the walls begin to crack and they give in to their feelings the chemistry leaps off the page and scorching is the word!
The story flowed well, gave me angst, a darker side to life and love and two broken souls converging again and proving that love has no boundaries, that the people who are meant to be will find each others light in the darkest of places. I look forward to reading more from Abby in the future.

This is my first book by the author. And I just want to smack myself for not reading her novel's sooner. I was so addicted to these characters. And the first page draws you in to the point you dont wait to put this book down. i loved the taboo aspect of this novel. Now im on a buying spree to get every single one of Abby Gale's books.

Those things should've stopped me from wanting her.
They didn't.
The blurb is like a little tease of whats to come. Its pure perfection. I know authors work hard on their blurbs and I’m not taking that away from anyone. In fact I didn’t even read the blurb before reading the book. I went in blind. After reading the story and then reading the blurb I mentally high fived the author.
I know I should write about the storyline but I’m hesitant to as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. I will say Maya and Zeke are two awesome characters. My heart broke for Maya. How can a young girl survive so much heartache. Her story is heart breaking.
Zeke will do whatever he can to protect Maya even if he hurts himself in the process.
Their story is taboo but so so good. This will certainly be one of my favourite reads this year. I’ll definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

How do you rate and review a book with a vague blurb? Usually, I am always enticed with a convincing blurb. I need to read the blurb before I think of reading a book. I have always been like that. But Beautiful Inferno was different. Beautiful Inferno had a vague blurb but I found myself very intrigued. Those few sentences opened up a plot I never imagined. A plot that sucked me in deeply. A plot that made my soul ache. A plot so earth shattering that I felt it deep in my heart. Scratch that, deep in my soul. Abby Gale has been my favourite authors because her writing always pulls me in. her books always mess with my emotions each time I read. With Beautiful Inferno, Abby Gale wrote a brutally dark and soulful romance that bleeds emotions and angst.
I went into Beautiful Inferno blind. I went into with my instincts, trusting myself and pushing my boundaries. Man, I did push my boundaries. Beautiful Inferno was truly a risky romance but told in such a heart breaking and tortured way. My heart hurt. My soul was wrecked apart. My emotions twisted inside and out. Abby Gale stepped outside the box to give me a taboo romance that stirred me. I love taboo romances. I am addicted to them. What Abby Gale wrote in Beautiful Inferno was spectacular. Heart Wrenching. Dark. Emotionally Brutal. Beautiful is an intense book with a capturing storyline that will touch you. A fast-paced forbidden romance that catches you in tis web. A fantastic and sexy read that is morally wrong but so right. Abby Gale’s writing is brilliant. Her writing has absolutely developed because you feel every single scene as if you are living it. What an enticing read.
In Beautiful Inferno, you meet Maya and Zeke. Damn, so much hot chemistry between them. My goodness, it was burning. Maya is a fighter. She has been through so much pain and suffering but her tough exterior was admirable. My heart broke for her. Zeke is a sexy and protective alpha male. He struggled with his feelings for Maya but he always wanted what’s best for her. The tension between them was so powerful. The love between them so risqué and fiery. I ate it all up.
If you love forbidden romances with a side of taboo, you need to Beautiful Inferno. A must read you won’t regret.

So I will be honest like I always am in my reviews. I was looking forward to this book as you would like you would not believe. The cover is beautiful and the blurb is to die for.
But then you get into the book and I was really disappointed. I have really not much more to say about this book. I don't want to give much more away. I was wanting to so much love this book. I am sorry to say I did not.

A captivating and unforgettable taboo story, I haven't read a book this fast in a while but I just couldn't put it down. A book not for everyone but for lovers of this genre, like me, Abby's characters and descriptions were mesmerising. An unbelievably wonderful read, I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT.

This book has to be one of my favorite reads! I absolutely devoured it. As soon as I was done I wanted more. I believe there could have been a little more depth to the story but god did this book get me hot and bothered. The author teases you or at least I like to think so. She teased us so bad it just made me want it more. Heed the warning the author gives you. This is taboo. This is one of those books you will be talking about for years to come. - By Vanessa

I went into this book open minded. I knew there was some sort of taboo... The introduction had me!
It's definitely not for everyone if you have triggers with age differences etc.. I would leave it at that!

3,5 inferno stars
Beautiful Inferno is a dark, taboo, forbidden romance and my first ever book from Abby Gale. After seeing the cover, I knew I had to read this book. And I'm glad I did. I do consider myself as been a reader with no triggers really, but keep in mind that this story is TABOO and therefore, not for everyone. With that being said, I do think that the connection between Maya and Zeke leave no question in your mind about whether they should end up together or not.
Maya and Zeke have only eight years separating them and grew up together. They suffered through a toxic, shitty environment. They know each other inside and out and struggle with their feelings for one another. They both try to deny and fight against it but they can't seem to break ties. No matter how hard they ignore their feelings, they cannot stay away. Zeke is protective of Maya and she is exactly what he needs. My heart broke for them so many times. I really liked them together.
Overall, Beautiful Inferno is a dark, taboo, hot, steamy, emotional story filled with angst and heartbreaking, intense moments. I think the ending was a bit rushed, and the H owning a BDSM club was a bit too much for me, but other than that I truly enjoyed this book.

This was my first Abby book! I was in the need of a dark book and this little number delivered. Want a good book and one that focuses on BDSM—this is your book! Maya lives a life in hell and Zeke is her salvation. But their love is wrong in the eyes of the world and in the eyes of himself. He tries to do the write thing but love is clingy and it won't let Zeke forget the love he has for his baby girl!

Beautiful Inferno by Abby Gale is a beautifully well-written forbidden relationship between an uncle and his niece. I just loved the story concept. I enjoyed the characters even more. Maya and Zeke were just fascinating together as well as separately. Ms. Gale does an awesome job bringing this story to life. Beautiful Inferno is addictive, emotional, and sexy. As a reader, Beautiful Inferno by Abby Gale literally gave me goosebumps with the unspoken intensity between our two main characters. I can honestly say the chemistry as well as the connection between Zeke and Maya wasn't at all forced.
So readers', if you're in the mood for a taboo story with natural born chemistry shared between characters that radiates off the pages, then you should read Beautiful Inferno by Abby Gale. The great writing, even better storyline and characterization, should factor in your decision to give this one a try. You'll be happy that you did.
Both our characters struggle with their feelings for one another. They try so hard to fight against it, to deny what's so clearly between them. However, no matter how hard they ignore their shared feelings and deep connection with the past, they can't seem to break ties permanently. It's an ongoing losing battle for Zeke as much as it is for Maya.
Maya knows it’s impossible and wrong to be attracted to as well as be in love with a person who shares her blood. Their resemblance to one another is striking. Maya's truth is raw and painful, filled with such heartbreak. Like Maya, Zeke knows it's wrong on so many levels to be in love with his niece, his older brother's daughter. He protected her, her whole life. He was there for her, taking care of her and providing for all her needs, until one day he wasn't any more.
I loved the flashback scenes from the past. These scenes gave much insight into the characters, particularly their strong bond and the start of their attraction. I definitely think they enhanced the story and moved it along. Readers' you will understand just how deep-rooted Zeke and Maya's love goes. It started out innocent and unexpected.
Also lovers of BDSM, you will enjoy Beautiful Inferno by Abby Gale. I'm not a fanatic of BDSM, but I do like these types of elements in a story if they work and not just come out of left field. In Beautiful Inferno's case, it was perfect. Readers' get to see another side to Zeke's character as well as explore what he has done with his life since leaving Maya behind. Maya also shares the same dark desires that Zeke apparently harbors. It was nice to see our two main characters connecting on another level and not just an intimate one.
