I have just finished reading my advanced copy of Wendy Pope's new book Yes, No, Maybe: Living with the God of Immeasurably More. Wendy's words throughout the book were so enlightening and encouraging. Throughout reading the book I have felt my relationship with God strengthening. By sharing a time in her life when she personally struggled with just being stuck and wondering if there was more to life, Wendy shows how if we give "God permission to mess with our beautiful" and "embrace the life He died to give us" we can live the immeasurably more life as He promised in Ephesians 3:20. I have truly enjoyed Yes, No, Maybe.
I so wish I had had this fantastic book five years ago when I searched the internet looking for ways to have more connection with God and live a joy-filled life. It is a great guidebook, beautifully written and Wendy is so easy to connect with. She makes it all feel so doable! She’s a great storyteller and there are lots of fun moments tucked in and plenty biblical truth.
Wendy breaks down the basics of living out the faith that are often discussed such as worship, prayer and bible reading into things the reader can do today making them manageable but effective. I used many of these when I went through my depression. I didn’t have Wendy’s book to guide me but time with Proverbs 31 Online Bible Studies got me on this track and wow, I can attest to what a difference these tools make in building a relationship with God.
I love the breakdown of the book into: “Yes Cultivates Trust No Invites Revelation Maybe Welcomes Freedom”. It’s so well thought through with biblical wisdom behind each of the three and practical ways to say yes, no and maybe. Wendy inspires the reader to strive for more e.g.: “The numbness is the result of “un” roots growing in our heart, choking the life of joy.” And she builds on our key promises: “We are not condemned! We belong to Christ! We are free!”. The book builds to the transformation process: “we can’t just accept all the positive things from God without accepting the polishing as well. This transformation period is hard, plain hard.”
I’d recommend it to a friend who is newer to the faith or not sure about the key elements of living out an active relationship with God as I found a lot of the yes and no sections weren’t applicable to where I am now. I would have really benefited from it 5 years ago. It’s a five out of five on the en-JOY-meet scale for me.

Wendy Pope has done it again with Yes, No & Maybe. This book is for those who may be weary during this journey called life. “As Wendy writes, Yes cultivates an unbreakable trust with God. No invites revelation into who God designed her to be. Maybe welcomes the freedom to confidently love, give, and serve in God’s kingdom. “ What does this mean? It means that giving your heart to the Lord and obeying his commands will bring you promise of eternal life.
The book uses Paul journey’s from Saul to Paul to show us how we can all trust in God. God loves everyone one of us and uses anyone to spread his message. Saul was a hater of Christians, but he was transformed on the road to Damascus when Jesus came to him. There was no hesitation or doubt on his part. He immediately gave God a YES. Saul was given the name Paul and he began to spread the Word of God.
One of my favorite parts of the book is on page 85. This is a comparison of what the world says and what God says. I’ll give you one example (you have to read the book for all the rest):
The world says: Put your needs first God says: “The last will be first, and the first last” (Matt 20:16 ESV).
You get to write the last chapter!!!! After each chapter, Wendy gives you a prompt and you will begin to write Chapter 10. It is based on you and your thoughts! How cool is that!
This book has been a blessing to me. Wendy Pope wrote Wait and See a couple of years ago and she did an awesome job! I loved it so much that I knew when she wrote her second book, I would be enjoying her stories on her family and friends and learning so much about myself and how I should rely on Jesus. She hit it out of the ball park with Yes, No & Maybe.
As a woman and a Christian who loves to read and who dabbles in writing, I am always looking for books that will help me to grow as an individual, grow in my faith and that encourages me in my passion to write. I have been privileged to have found some amazing women authors who write from their heart and whose personal journeys not only bless me but so many other women across the country and globe. Wendy Pope happens to be one of those authors. Wendy’s second book, “Yes, No, and Maybe,” is the second book I have had the honor to read and help launch. And this book is just as amazing and inspiring as her first. As a speaker and writer for Proverbs 31 ministries, Wendy is no stranger to the hearts of women and what their souls truly long for. And having her own authentic walk with God, one of her greatest passions is to help other women grow to know God more as well. In her latest book, Wendy talks about what it looks like to say “yes” to God, “no” to self, and “maybe” to finding freedom in our lives and our walk with God. In “Yes, No, and Maybe,” Wendy invites us on a journey with a man named Paul who teaches us how to live an immeasurably more life….the life that we as women are destined to live through a faith in Jesus Christ. This book is insightful, inspiring, and definitely one worth reading and will change the life of every woman who hears its message.
Have you ever wondered what Paul meant in Ephesians 3:20 by “immeasurably more”? I had not thought about it other than it sounded good to me. Now, through Wendy Pope’s book, I want immeasurably more. Whether a new follower of Christ, middle of the road or mature warrior with a heart full of Jesus, Wendy offers something new and thought-provoking to each person’s walk. Want to learn how to say Yes to God and have the obedience you know has been lacking, it’s in there. Perhaps instead, your flesh has been calling the shots. Wendy shows how easy (and hard) it is to say no to self. Then there is the calling from us to help every cause we see and hear about, but to what expense? Learning the “maybe” skill can take us to the next step with God and Jesus for what we are called to do. Wendy has taken hard topics for all believers and broke them down into uncomplicated ways to hold ourselves accountable no matter where we are in our walk, what age we are, or the people we have in our life. I highly recommend this book to every woman who wants “immeasurably more” from her life. Learn to say Yes, No, & Maybe in your daily walk. It is a life changer and a game changer.
“ ‘For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” You are a whoever.” This is the invitation from Wendy Pope’s newest book Yes, No, and Maybe: Living with the God of Immeasurably More. If you want to want to learn to say yes to God, no to self, have the freedom of maybe, and live your immeasurably more life, then you will not want to miss this life-changing book! The book is broken up into three sections: Yes, No, and Maybe, and each section consists of three chapters. The author’s personal stories kept my attention, and her words of wisdom and Biblical teaching made me think. There were so many nuggets of truth that I highlighted while reading, but here are just a few that really stood out to me:
“You may accept the free gift of salvation, ensuring your eternity, but if you never surrender to His lordship, you won’t experience the life that the God of immeasurably more has to offer you.”
“It is through our struggles that we get to know the heart of God, His love for us, and the depth of His faithfulness.”
“I can promise you this: whatever you give up for the cause of Christ won’t compare to the gain you’ll receive in living the immeasurably more life. When you arrive at the place where the things of this world are as refuse, it will take your breath away, and every sacrifice you made will be worth it.”
“It’s important to remember—they are called fruit of the Spirit, not fruit of the flesh. We weren’t meant to live this life apart from Christ or His Spirit.”
“The Spirit is like a massage therapist—the best one you could ever find at the best spa in the world. He can work as intensely in our spirit as He desires, but He is gracious to invite us into the process and work on us at a pace we can handle. How deep are we willing to let Him go?”
I strongly encourage you to read Yes, No, and Maybe, and buy a copy for a friend to enjoy as well. Oh, and go out and get yourself a “Jesus chair” if you do not already have one!
I was blessed to be a member of the launch team for this book. All opinions are my own.
Have you ever wondered “Is this as good as it gets?” I remember many years ago there was a song by Peggy Lee titled “Is That All There Is?”. The lyrics were inscrutable to me as a girl growing up…but seemed very sad. Well, Wendy Pope’s latest book, “Yes, No, & Maybe…Living with the God of Immeasurably More” tells us that if we have unmet expectations, unfulfilled dreams, unanswered prayers or unwanted situations, we can be assured that this is NOT as good as it gets! We can have life with the God of immeasurably more. We can believe that we really do serve a God who “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20).
Wendy’s love of the Lord and her joy for living are evident in every chapter of this book. With her open and vulnerable writing style, she leads us through a study of the life of Paul and teaches us how to say Yes to God, No to Self, and the freedom that saying Maybe to other commitments gives us. I love this book!!!
Do you ever wonder if this is as good as it gets? Well… you’ve come to the right place. Wendy Pope’s writing style makes you feel like you are sitting face to face listening to her teach the message God has placed upon her heart. Ephesians 3:20 promises that this is not as good as it gets; we are promised that God’s power at work within us provides immeasurably more than we ask or imagine. In Yes, No & Maybe, Wendy writes from her heart as she leads others toward the “320 life” and a closer relationship with God. You will feel convicted, challenged and encouraged as she weaves the gospel throughout the message to teach you how to live out the immeasurably more life. Your heart will be blessed from the moment you begin this easy, fun to read message. It is sure to create a hunger in your heart for more of God’s Word and a greater desire to live your life with Him.
Wendy Pope’s new book, Yes, No, & Maybe Living with the God of Immeasurably More, is a must read. Wendy has a way with writing that, makes you feel like you are sitting together sharing a sweet tea (my favorite) and discussing your thoughts and feelings about God and His plan for your life. From the very beginning, Introduction, I made a connection with the main idea of the her book I was very comfortable with her ‘Yeses’, felt comfortable and wanting in her ‘Noes’ and was challenged in the ‘Maybes’. She connected scripture to all of the ideas and it all made so much sense. This is one of those books where, you make connections all the way through and know it will require another reading (or 2) to be able to apply Wendy’s points. I am sure you will love this book and feel very comfortable with it.
Do you want to grow in your relationship with the Lord? Wendy's inspiring new book Yes, No & Maybe will guide you to a deeper relationship with the Lord. You will be encouraged through scripture to listen, trust and obey the Lord. Also, you will learn to say yes to God, no to self, and maybe to live your life with freedom. You will have freedom to love, give and choose where to serve as a member of the body of Christ. This book includes a spiritual gifts assessment tool that will help you decide where to serve in the body of Christ. I would definitely recommend this book.
Wendy Pope has once again given us a book that is so spot on. From her pithy comment in the Introduction, “The family insists on eating dinner every night” to the closing statement about her home being a place where Scott loves to come, Yes, No, & Maybe will make you laugh, reflect and reevaluate what you think ‘good as it gets’ is. No matter the season of your life or where you are in your walk with God, Yes, No, & Maybe will strengthen your desire to live the life God has planned for you – one that is immeasurably more than you ever imagined. Thank you, Wendy!
Yes, No, Maybe is a must read! Wendy Pope speaks from her own life's experiences as she writes. It's always a great help to read an example of how God has revealed His Word to someone in the midst of life's issues. We can all relate, to one degree or another, with Wendy's life's moments … and rejoice with her, and anticipate our own rejoices, as God lovingly uses His Word to enable us to follow Him. "Thank you, Wendy, for a wonderful book -- again!"
Books about personal life stories make me feel like I am sitting and sharing life with the authors, are some of my favorites. Wendy does a great job of this. This book both encourages and challenges me. She talks about the importance of being in God’s word everyday and although I strive for this, I have failed, I have a new passion for it. I know God put this book in my life for a reason, you are reading this review for a reason as well. Grab some friends and read this together, you will not be disappointed. It also can be read alone but read it. I was given a copy of this book and this is my personal honest opinion. No review was required.
From the beginning Wendy pulls you in like a wonderful friend. Just as though she is sitting across the coffee shop table and pouring words of encouragement into your soul. She starts you on your journey through the yes, no, and maybe. This book has been a huge encouragement to take life back from the rat race of overwhelmed and listen to God. Thank you Wendy for speaking so lovingly and truthful through your experiences and through scripture
I love reading books by Wendy Pope because of her style of writing and her ability to communicate her heart in writing that makes me feel as though we are sitting across the room from one another. Yes, No & Maybe began with thirteen words that were dynamic in changing her life. Wendy explains in this latest read what the thirteen words, she breaks down the words "yes, no, and maybe." I also love how she digs deep into the unroots, obstacles of sin and even the self-centerness we all face. Wendy isn't afraid to go there and writes with complete authenticity.
I didn't realize I needed this book until I read about the "unroots" and how certain expectations not met had been robbing me of joy. It was a game changer for me! This book is a great read! I loved it! I highly recommend this book! I give it 5/5 stars and encourage you to grab a copy today!

I was given a book by the author. These opinions stated are my own. No review was required.
Yes, No, Maybe is an excellent book. My favorite thought is in Chapter 7 The author ask, "What if you considered the idea of freedom as freedom for something rather than freedom from something? Freedom for says what's ahead of me is an opportunity rather than an obligation. This is hope.
WOW!!! Yes, No and Maybe by Wendy Pope is a must read. She shares her personal experiences throughout the book blessing the reader immensely. Allowing us to see how God has worked in her life and how He can bring us into a life of immeasurably more by saying YES to Him! There is no doubt God was with her while she was writing this book. Full of biblical insight you will read this book over and over!

This book is a must read and would be fun to read together with a group of women! Get it today you won’t be disappointed!!
I love this book! I have been committed to Christ for many years, but my faith had become lukewarm and a lot of my behaviors became checklists. Wendy Pope opened my eyes and woke me up! As I think back over this book I’m struck with how much it resonated with me and where I am today. It was easy to read and the way Wendy used the Biblical character of Paul and her own personal life stories made it even more relatable. It will definitely cause a person to think about their own life and the decisions we make everyday. She made me want the “immeasurably more” life! I’m so glad I read it and highly recommend it to anyone wondering if this is as good as it gets!!
