Her voice opens my eyes, but her body catches my stare.

Joanna is innocent. Kind. With eyes that beg for adventure and a body that succumbs to command.

She’s everything I want, and everything I don’t need.

I have to stay away.

To enjoy the night with my friend.

To rid my life of its darkness.

But all I can think about is her body underneath those clothes.

Her high notes fill

This really needed to be edited and it made it hard to read it with all of the mistakes. There was so much going on that it was difficult to immerse myself in.

A very well written story with nice storyline and plot. It is very captivating from first to last chapter. The characters are likeable and well described. They develop nicely through the story. This is a story of great length and that gives the characters a depth that cannot always be given to their personalies in shorter stories. The story flows so well of the pages and I could not lay it down.

A story with passion, hot chemistry, sexyness, steamy scenes, closed hearts, secrets and an emotional

What stubborn, yet oh so very sexy characters Kelli Walker has created in this hot little book of hers about a super rich arrogant man and an opera singer who so much wanted to be a mother if only she weren't physically unable to do so. They each wanted their own life to live as they saw it, until one hot sexy night when the two met. After that, it wasn't all candles, moonlight and soft tender love, no, there lives were changed in sudden, dangerous and potentially deadly fashion. The reader ...more

I had to force myself to keep reading through the first 4 or 5 chapters. I hate giving up on a book, but this was just an okay read for me. The characters were kind of boring, just not that interesting. And, let's be honest - the world of opera isn't very adventurous.
The female lead was named Joanne for the first few chapters, then all of a sudden she was named Joanna. Oops!
There were 3 or 4 uninspired sex scenes, but there was no passion. That was the problem with the whole book.

I gave up at 70%

It might have bee a good story, but the blatant errors ruined the reading experience. One error was funny. "Pick up a package and pop one in your mother whenever you feel your nausea coming on.” The rest were disruptive and aggravating. Errors that would probably occur using talk to text, where it misinterpreted a word or phrase and garbled it all up, or a serious lack of punctuation (one chapter ended without punctuation and seemingly missing a word or more). When I was

Nothing outstanding that had me wanting to say YEAH!!! HOT DAMN!!

It was an okay read. I found that if filled the time and gave me something to occupy my time. It just felt like that same ole story being told by a different author with a few variations here and there. It seems to be the thing to be a billionaire and the most innocent of them all catches the attention. Then sets in the determination to own. Their similar background or back story gave them something to connect over. She was a

Wonderful story

Joanna is a beautiful opera singer with a voice that called out to Robert during her aria. Robert is a self-made billionaire with a past that threatens to ruin everything he has built but his unexpected love for Joanna who is now pregnant with his child leads him to fight for the life he never knew he wanted.

Great story from beginning to end. I lived the characters they were quirky and well developed. The story line flowed effortlessly and the romance developed organically.

Good book

Joanna is an opera singer who has a one night stand with Robert and gets pregnant, something she thought would never happen due to a birth defect. Robert doesn't want a family because he thinks that would make him weak. He has someone from his past come back into his life who threatens Joanna. He goes to find her and discovers she's pregnant so he tells her he'll stick around without mentioning the danger she's in. After a ruckus dealing with his past, he and Joanna get their HEA.

Fab book really enjoyed it

What a story of an opera singer Joanna and a billionaire Robert who said he would never have a family because his family died in a fire when he was younger and didn’t want to through the pain of losing another one again. Joanna has put her heart and sole into her opera singing it fills a hole on her heart which is there due to inability to have children through a medical condition. Who knew that one night of passion would change their lives for ever whilst there is

Not sure what to make of this one I'm afraid. Needed editing and reviewing for consistency - lead female started as Joanne (indeed the chapters are Joanne) but she's renamed to Joanna. The Obstetrician advises her to buy natural ginger and when feeling nauseous to "pop one in her mother" not sure how that will help. Can't say I was really enamoured with Robert either he wasn't overly passionate or nice if I'm honest. It was almost a DNF but my conscience wouldn't let me leave it unfinished ...more

WoW I was completely drawn into the story from the very first chapter. Robert was captivated by Joanna from the first time she opened her mouth to sing ! He didn't know what hit him and then to find out he's going to be a father wasn't something he thought he deserved. Joanna was told her whole life that having a baby was imposible because of her birth defect. A baby was something she'd always wanted but would never have and she accepted that because she didn't think she deserved it . I couldn't ...more

Nice attempt

What I liked - The friendships, the uniqueness of the opera theme in a romance, the miraculous pregnancy and birth, the ending.

Why I didn't like - The grammar issues and typos, the subject of Robert leaving her right after their first time not being properly addressed and remedied, the pace and feel was off, lots just didn't connect right.

Overall - Sweet sorta secret baby romance that has good characters but needs a lot of work otherwise.

I really liked this book. Joanna kind of reminded me of myself when I was younger. I fell for her in that she did not think she could not have kids, then oops it happens. Same thing for me. Robert surprised me that he stated he would be there from the second he was told he was going to be a father. The only reason it did not get a 5 was due to lots of spelling errors.

He has lost everything and now the shadows enemies from his past are after him again threating. Joanna is an up and coming Soprano. Robert goes to the opera with his friend although he thinks it will be boring. Nothing could prepare him for hearing Joanna sing. He pays dearly to get to the back to visit with her. His visit leaves her with a precious gift but will Robert's past be Joanna's downfall? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review

A good romance book . The story and characters were intriguing . I liked that the story wasn't all romance, there was actually an exciting plot with a bit of mystery and perilous situations .
There are several graphic sex scenes which is to be expected in this genre of book so it is for 18+ readers .

This is a virgin story where you have a young woman who is an opera singer, then an older man (Thirtysomething) and she allows him to take her virginity after just meeting him in her dressing room. Then she ends up pregnant and he ends up enamored with her. Felt very predictable, but well written.

This book was no where near as good as her others. I wanted to enough it. I skipped thru paragraphs just to get thru faster. That is how bad this was for me.

The are many errors in this. The wrong words are used. You have to reread the sentence just to make sure you understand what it should say.

They're was potential here in the plot and character development but the author missed it.

Opera singer ophran

IMO this book was confusing, both main characters was ophrans, one was a Virgin on her way of becoming at sensation but one look at Robert in her dressing room and her panties come off? Than come to find out she has a rare uterus defect. It was over the top a lot of misspelled words. At some points I wondered if English was the authors native language

Robert and Jonna

The successful billionaire has his life upturned by a melodic voice. Seems kind of like a joke but when you meet just the right person, live changes inexplicably. Then you have to do your best to make it your best life. This is an amazing and heartfelt story. Very well written and addictive to read!

The book is well written. The characters are well written and relatable. The plot flows well with the story. The story isn't a new twist but has the predictable turns as other stories. I would recommend this book because it is written well.

I really enjoyed Joanna and Robert's story they were great characters with lots of chemistry but what I liked most what that they helped heal each other. At the start of the book both of these two were damaged both in different ways but they managed to help each other learn to live and get past of there issues this was a super romance I really liked it I found myself not wanting to put it down.
