This title is one of a series of 4 books showcasing objects from the British Museum. Opposites are presented including big-small, open-closed, old-new, light-heavy, night-day, front-back, wavy-straight, hard-soft, inside-outside, white-black, empty-full, cold-hot, fast-slow, long-short, and sad-happy. The objects selected represent their descriptions well: the feather looks light compared to the cast iron elephant and Hasui's cold snowy woodblock print next to Burr's etching of huge cactus in the hot desert. An index of the 30 objects are listed in the back of the book with a photo, the object name, the country of origin, and the time period when it was produced. Use the QR code for further exploration.
