Tie Me Down is book two-point-five in Michelle Hazen’s Sex, Love, and Rock & Roll series. To understand this one, you need to have read Playing the Pauses. Playing the Pauses, the second book works perfectly fine as a standalone novel, should you wish to address it as such. Tie Me Down is a continuation of the story, an answer to the ‘what came next’ question we all have upon finishing a romance novel. It is not a necessity to read this story if you have read Playing the Pausing, but it is a ...more

Tie Me Down is a quick and fun addition to the Sex, Love and Rock & Roll Series. Do you ever wonder what happens to your favorite couple after their happily ever after? Tie Me Down is just the novella that you’ve been waiting for. This short little novella packs quite the punch and will keep you on your toes. Before you know it, you’ll find yourself glued to the pages, waiting to see how Kate and Danny’s story is going to play out..

Oh, how I love novellas like this one. Tie Me Down makes the fictional HEA realistic. I like most of my romances to end with the standard happy ending -where the characters dance off into the sunset with wedding rings and babies. But sometimes, I want to see their struggles after the curtain comes down and the sun rises again. Not every day is perfect and relationships are difficult. And like with fictional characters, strong personalities contribute to more than just easy kisses, steam

More Danny & Kate? Yes, please! Half the book from Danny's POV? Swoooon.

I loved this novella from Michelle Hazen, even when I was seriously considering pinching Danny. This sequel/epilogue to Playing the Pauses finds Danny & Kate living with the reality of their jobs and geographical separation. Both are totally in love with each other and totally brand new at the relationship thing. Throw in not seeing each other in months and there's a whole lot of separation anxiety and enough lack of

Emotional! *** Engaging! *** Enthralling!

Kate loves being in charge. She is the manager of a rock star and it’s the perfect job for her. She loves the challenge and the opportunity to create peace where chaos often rules. She is good at her job and appreciated. Lucky lady is also loved...though that word is never spoken.

Although Kate is in charge at work, behind closed doors she becomes a willing submissive to Danny. (Heck, so would I. The man had me drooling all over the place.)

I really adore this series. “The Red Letters” band members are an eclectic group of people that are impossible not to fall in love with. I loved Danny and Kate's story in Playing the Pauses but must admit that I wished there had been more, lots more. This Novella feels like a wish coming true for me. I was so happy to see that Tie Me Down was the follow-up to Danny and Kate's story, letting us know that they really did find the right path to be together. Danny and

Tie Me Down (Sex, Love and Rock & Roll, #2.5) by Michelle Hazen
Can Kate and Danny beat the odds and go the distance in their jet-setting lambada of love? Playing the Pauses served as an introduction to the naughty vixen and her lusty Romeo. Work brought them together, but will their career driven lives also tear them apart? Tie Me Down is a check in with the manager and the musician as they continue to learn about each other and work toward a happily ever after. They can't be tamed, but ma

This is definitely what we were missing from Playing the Pauses! We get to see how Danny and Kate face the challenges in their relationship. It's not always fairytales and we get to see how they both struggle. I still absolutely love Danny! He gives so much and never asks anything for himself. When he finally confesses how he truly feels about Kate and their relationship, my heart melted!

I read an ARC copy of this.

I did enjoy this story. It was a nice continuation. We got to see how things ended up going for Kate and Danny. Yes it was rough but thankfully they got their HEA.

I loved getting lost in more from Danny and Kate! The emotions in this read were strong and I found myself totally sucked into this book. I devoured it and couldn't put it down. Kate and Danny are trying to find their way amidst their individual careers. These characters had an emotional roller coaster as they tried to adjust. They love each other but living outside of the tour "bubble" mak

Tie Me Down is a sequel to Playing the Pauses. I wish I had known this before I agreed to review this, because Tie Me Down is definitely not a standalone and it explains why I felt sort of underwater from the very beginning.

Kate and Danny are trying to make a relationship work where she's on the road managing the tour of a woman named Ava, who's apparently a rockstar. Danny is Jera's best friend, from the first story in this series, A Cruel Kind of Beautiful. He and Jera and their band are rocks
We’ve all had those moments when we want to know what happened to a favorite couple after they’ve gotten their Happily Ever After, or in the case of Danny and Kate from Playing the Pauses, their Happily For Now.

Well, that’s exactly what Tie Me Down is all about.

It’s part two in their story from Playing the Pauses , so if you haven’t read that one, you may want to pick that one up first if you care about being spoiled. This is just a quick, little novella for us to get a second look into Danny a

I really enjoyed Kate and Danny's story in Playing the Pauses, so when I saw they were getting their own novella epilogue I had to read it!

In a case of the more things change, the more they stay the same, Kate and Danny are still trying to learn how to build a life together when they are apart more than they are in the same state. Kate has taken a job managing the tour of a high profile singer, and Danny is back at home while The Red Letters are on a break from touring. They talk constantly but

As usual, I started with the second book in the story. I have not finished “Playing her Pauses” yet, but I did read “Tie Me down” completely. It took some time to understand the background, but at some point I focused only on the current story. The first thing I noticed was the friendly tone the author has used in the conversations. Even from the start, from the first scene, I got the impression my best friends were talking about things that happened to them. And this made me easily fall into th ...more

Michele Hazen is a new author for me, and it’s probably a disadvantage to judge her based on her novels Playing the Pauses and Tie Me Down since they are books 2 and 2.5 of, and thus well into, her Sex, Love and Rock & Roll series. Happily though that makes no difference as these books worked perfectly well as standalones (though it is essential to read book 2 before book 2.5) and they were tons of fun. So much so that I’m promising myself that I will become much more acquainted with this au ...more

Kate and Danny both live fast-moving, nomadic lives. They've been together for a year, and have become totally wrapped up in one another. When Kate is hired into her dream job, she has to leave her man for an extended period of time and she begins to feel cracks forming in their relationship. While he will never attempt to tell his free-spirited Kate what to do, Danny misses her terribly and begins to fall apart without her.

The type of all-consuming love these two share is a bit scary, with each

This novella is a continuation from Playing the Pauses book. You will want to read that book first to really understand the characters and their history, though if you really don't want to, you can probably get through this without too much trouble. You just may not appreciate it quite as much.

While there are some laughs, this particular book is a little more emotional. Not necessarily a cry your eyes out kind. While the couple (who have a long distance relationship most of the time due to their

This is the second book I have read by this author due to the ARC I was provided in exchange for an honest review. Since I was given the novella for review, the author graciously provided the prior book. It definitely gave me an idea of Kate and Danny’s relationship so I knew what to expect of the novella. This story opens about a year after the prior book ended and Kate is on a major world tour while Danny is at home in Portland. They seem to be doing well but both of them are going through a d ...more

Tie Me Down is the long epilogue to Playing the Pauses, so you have to read that to understand and enjoy this one. Also, this review has many spoilers for the first book.

The books in the series can be read as stand alone, but the band is amazing, so you’ll want to check out Jera’s story as well!

In Playing the Pauses we see how Danny and Kate meet, fall in love, and get their happily ever after. Except, now we see them a year later. Kate is on tour the Ava, the Goddess of Rock and Roll, while Dan

This was a nice quick read! The writing flowed well, and it was so good to be able to get a glimpse into their lives after the story ended. I didn’t think they would have quiet as many problems as they did, but I should have known with how stubborn they both are. I knew Kate had problems with being made to feel like she didn’t have a choice, but she took that to a whole other level. This is a quick little read about Danny and Kate whose story was featured in the previous book "Playing the Pauses". You will definitely need to read Book 2 for this book to make sense. I loved this sequel to Playing the Pauses where Danny and Kate first met. It’s a quick read, that’s well written, very emotional, and at times heart-wrenching. Danny has become quite introspective as he deals with his ever-absent girlfriend Kate while determined to stay out of her career choices and decisions. Kate’s become conflicted in what she believes she wants from her career, choosing jobs that ultimately pull her away from Danny. Things become complicated and communication breaks down. Ca ...more

I'm very glad that the talented Michelle Hazen gave me this chapter after the happily ever after with Tie Me Down, as it's the look at how Kate & Danny are doing now that they are juggling two lives in the music industry that have them jet setting in every direction as they try to build their lives together. It's a quick read that not only provides the sexy times that I loved, but a new set of obstacles that let the f-bombs fly, with a side of emotional angst to squeeze my heart. It may be a ...more

This is pretty much like the epilogue to the previous book in the series, Playing the Pauses.

Kate and Danny are still together, but Kate is currently on the road a lot and has not spent much time at home with Danny who misses her.

Bringing you deeper into the Sex, Love and Rock & Roll world, you discover how Danny and Kate are dealing with the unaccustomed emotion of love, and worse, making it work with two careers that don’t seem to work together. Hazen twists them up like two chains on a swing, twisting them tighter and tighter until Dan & Kate are ready to spin - but are they going to spin out apart, or get thrown together?

I loved this sequel to Danny and Kate's story I just wish it had been longer it finished too quickly. I was captivated from the beginning of this book, and felt very emotional as they went through the turbulence of a long distance relationship.
