This story started with entry of the ghost hunter into the town, which had the dead uncle Rolo’s ghost in a fritz… Things really started happening in this book from the very beginning especially with the entry of an old flame who believed Rolo to be alive. Braidy seeing other ghosts, Rolo suddenly turning bad and creating portal while saving his ex now current girlfriend, and grandma disappearing.

Book 2 was loads of fun, the story flowed well, there was suspense and a sense of mystery pervading

Braidy Von Althuis and the Gullible Ghost Hunter is a Fun Paranormal Book for Middle-Grade Readers. The book is easy enough for younger middle-grade readers to read independently, yet also short enough for families to read as a read-aloud book. The story flows well, is easy to follow, and entertains through a blend of humor, life lessons, and paranormal adventures. This book launches readers directly into a new adventure with the Von Alhuis family and keeps the story rolling to the end with some ...more

Braidy Von Althuis And The Gullible Ghost Hunter by Cassidy Dwelis is the sequel to Braidy Von Althuis And The Pesky Pest Controller , a book which I heartily enjoyed. This book was a bit shorter than the last one and as a result, for me, did not pack as much punch as I was expecting. Still, overall the series kept progressing nicely through this book and the story in this one tackled another great adventure which was very enjoyable.

The book was good, but I felt that it missed a

My hopes in reading the Braidy Von Althuis series was to find a book that my tween and I could read. Unfortunately, for me, my son refuses to read it because it’s book 2 of a series and “he doesn’t like to start books in the middle of a series”. Fortunately for me, that just means I will have to grab book 1, read it first, and then share with him so he can move on!

While my son pointed out; The Gullible Ghost Hunter is book 2 in the series, it did not matter one bit in my opinion. I wasn’t lost;

What a Rapidly-Read Romp!

I'm not joking - I read this in two days. I only paused to go to work. Super fun sequel! In the first book, we met Braidy and his family and learned a lot about his dad in particular. This book, we see more of Mr. Von Althuis' brother, Uncle Rolo. I liked the way that the results of book one have a legit Ghost Hunter very excited to set up shop in town. I think his presence is a really great catalyst for the rest of the chain of events in the book. I want to say more but
