All The Lonely People💔, Where Do they All Belong💘?
Gwen💃, a stunningly beautiful girl, gets waylaid just after graduation at eighteen by Paul, the town bad boy. When she tells him she's pregnant from the one time they were together, he promptly joins the Army and disappears.
She makes the best of a bad situation and has and keeps her baby girl, plus does some modeling and takes design classes. A year or so later, She lands a great job at the best dress shop in town.
Then she's put on jury duty, where the defendant is wealthy business man and real estate developer, Coulter Stillman.🐺🍆🌋
The judge dismisses the case but Gwen💃 lets herself be angry and blame Coulter🐺. She is really angry about having to go to jury duty and she was worried she'd lose her job over it, but she didn't.
Coulter🐺 sees her and directs his assistant to find out all about her. He is interested in her. Then, he makes sure he's at the dance club she and her friend go out to that night. She tries to hate him, but she didn't know the facts of the case. Coulter🐺 tells everyone at the 🍸bar she jumped to conclusions, plus he buys food and drinks for every one, winning them over !
Colt🐺 wants Gwen to be his, but her experience with Paul has ruined her ability to trust. After one date and a night of true bliss, Colt wants her always. He feels a great need to protect her and care for her.
For her part, Gwen💃 freaks out, grabs her baby, and leaves town. First she goes to her parents house by bus, but someone is watching her. So, she leaves there after only one day, and returns to the city, dragging her poor baby back and forth across the countryside. She ignores Colt's calls.
Colt🐺 is so upset he can't concentrate on his business, he can't sleep, he gets plastered. He's a mess! He has to find her.
Gwen💃 has a totally misguided outlook on life. I didn't feel sorry for her craziness concerning Colt🐺 and his intentions. I felt She was completely out of line. Colt🐺 was the only adult character in the book📑.
Gwen💃 needs a psychiatrist. She acts on whims and jumps to insane conclusions, without getting information and input. She is trying to be an adult but every thing she does is childish and rash. I didn't like her character at all. She has a poisonous💀 personality.
This book📑 hit home for me in the beginning, because I went through exactly the same situation also at 18 years old, only with no support whatsoever from my family or the father.
I never ever had the trust issues this woman has in this book. The whole book is unrealistic and disturbing after she meets Colt.
I know there is a happy ending to this book, but I am extremely disappointed in the insane story inbetween the beginning and the end.
ARC Received for a Voluntary and Honest Review.
I also got the book with KU.
