Her father died for his beliefs. Her mother always downplayed her father’s activities. Rebecca was hardly prepared to discover that the mysterious M, the leader of the renegades, the force behind an underground revolt was Karen, or as Rebecca called her, “Mom.” She also learned that Senate Leader Halpert and his cronies were illegal humanoid robots created two decades before. And then there is Liam, perhaps the biggest revelation of all, owns real estate in Rebecca’s heart, even as he lies fight ...more

This is the second book in the Uncanny Valley series. We follow Rebecca and the other Renegades to their hideout where they try to come up with a plan to strike back at the Robots taking over the government.
Gray returns to a theme she explored extensively in her “Liberty Box” series. She looks at how willing people are to accept a pleasant lie over an unpleasant truth. I think she’s a little more optimistic in this series, suggesting that it might be difficult to sell the lie. She expresses a fa

I was lucky enough to read the first book just a few weeks before reading The Silver Six so the story was fresh on my mind which is something you need to follow the story. The first book ended with a lot of cliffhangers that act as a starting point for the second book. Becca has no time to analyze or think about the revelations that changed her world. After discovering the secret that killed her father and who her mother was she has to go into hiding and deal with a world that she no longers kno ...more

Today (May 15, 2018) is release day! :)

I love writing this series because, perhaps more than any other series I've written so far, the characters feel like my friends. The action and intrigue is always fun to write, too, but my favorite scenes are the ones that deepen relationships. Rebecca even gets to perform again--something I always hoped I'd be able to give her the chance to do, but wasn't sure how it would fit into the plot!

Every series I write also requires a certain amount of research i

This was a story that could very well be our future. Since i won't be around, I'll just have to take my word for it. It reminded me of the science fiction shows that I used to watch growing up. The one thing I wasn't happy about was that the book came to an end. The good thing is that I've got the third book in my library ready to go. But I did feel slightly shortchanged since I haven't read book one - will have to get that changed.

I thought that Ms. Williams did a good job at bringing both the

When I read or, rather, listened to Uncanny Valley, the first book in the trilogy, I was pulled into a vortex of misdirections and revelations, especially towards the end and that alone made me anxious to read the next book. The Silver Six is every bit as intriguing as the first book.

Now that Rebecca and the rest of the Renegades know that the Silver Six, lead by Halpert, are actually robots, all the earlier conspiracy theories have been proven correct. War is inevitably coming and the Renegades

After reading Uncanny Valley and with how it ended, I couldn't wait to jump straight into this one. The Silver Six kicked right off where we left off. Rebecca is coping with finding out the identity of M and as well as the existence of the Renegades. She quickly learns to face her fears and step-up to help using her skills in the field of science to aid in any way she can.

C.A Gray is a fantastic writer and The Silver Six didn't disappoint. The characters are

I will admit that with the end of Uncanny Valley I was reluctant to start The Silver Six. I will freely admit that this book took off and had me on the edge of my seat. There is a war coming but it is going to be hard to find followers for the Renegades as the Silver Six have been brainwashing those into following them.

Of course Becca is causing herself more problems as she tries to process the truth she has learned and figure out how she really feels about Liam. But there is no much more than

Ah!!!!!!!! So good! I wish I could get together with a bunch of other people to talk about what they think will happen next! I couldn’t put this book down and read it in less than a day. Also, I completely and totally laughed out loud in one of the scenes. Truly! I mean, for quite an extended period of time too! It was like I was actually there with the characters, experiencing what they were experiencing with them. I really liked the first book but I LOVED this one!!! I can’t wait for the third ...more

I really enjoyed reading this book. It involves a group of higher intellect and with higher purposes in mind...along with a variety of robots, cyborgs and the like. You get to experience the good times with this crew, along with the bad...and even ride the roller coasters known as jealously, adoration and love. This book will definitely keep you guessing, and the characters are a delight to get to know. If you are a fan of sci-fi that involves robotics, you will love this series, though I'd reco ...more

I really loved this book and how Becca is following in her father's footsteps to try to help people know the truth. Another element in this book that I found interesting is that you find out more Becca's mother and how even though in the first book you think she is such a big figurehead in the first book as M, she is really just also trying to do the best that she can. I love Rebecca and Liam's relationship together. Overall this was a really great book that I cannot wait for the next book in th ...more

Excellent 2nd book in the series. CA Gray knows how to capture my attention. I couldn't put it down. This book has the same intensity as the first but I felt more connected to the characters, so I am even more anxious to find out what happens in book 3. Plot twists, surprises and some setbacks make for an exciting read!

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest opinion.

I liked this book so much better than the first, which you will definitely have needed to read before embarking on the journey between these pages.
Plenty of twists, turns a few AHA! moments make this well worth the read.

That was a really great read. In my opinion this book can be read as a stand alone, but you would benefit from reading book 1 (The Uncanny Valley) first. If you like possible alternative World futures, conspiracy, robots, cyborgs, young love, family twists this book has it all.
