I'm not sure how to write this review without giving it all away. This was an powerful and intense read. Olivia has suffered the worst kind of childhood and the one person she depended on is now dead. She is broken and trying to make it through life the best way she knows how. When she meets Danny her life turns around, he tries his best to learn everything about her. But when the past catches up to them will it be too much for him to ...more
This book is a tribute how important the survivor spirit is in all our lives!

Although the story was entertaining, I did have some difficulty connecting to the characters. The subject matter was serious and emotional enough that I expected to feel much more than I did. I'm not sure why this was the case. Maybe I was having an off ...more
This is a novella-length story that moves at a fast pace and covers a lot of ground in that time, yet it never felt lacking in its purpose. Lighter on the romance, it is more about Olivia's emotional and psychological journey. Although Danny and her children are integral to the journey and Olivia's healing from a traumatic past. Overall, I was engaged and intrigued by Olivia's story and curious as to what will happen in Part Two.
First I legit laughed my a$$ off from page one to the very end,one of the funniest romance books I've ever read. Luke and Laura are soooooo perfect for each other I adored them. They have some crazy ups and downs to get thru but in the end so worth it.
Jennifer Sivec's characters are often damaged and scarred but not completely broken. Olivia is no exception. The Good One hooked me on the first page and the last page left me wishing for more. Painful memories of a past that have left Olivia wondering if she can ever be truly happy and desperately missing the one person that was always there to protect her as a child, a need to keep family secrets, and a chance at a life she never thought she could have all combine to bri ...more
