This isn't my usual genre yet I thoroughly enjoyed it. The single key plot had me gripped from the outset, and the element of dramatic irony introduced most heavily half-way through added intrigue and new levels of suspense. Starting with a murder gives away some of the crucial plot details so the story needs unexpected consequences and character developments to keep your interest - this book has that in volumes. A few paragraphs might need to be skipped by the more squeamish reader but a thrilling and enjoyable read from cover-to-cover (or Kindle page-swipe).
