Superheroes aren’t born. They’re made. If you’re not on the Vanguard, you’re a supervillain. Simple as that.Until one day, a young man rushes to save a foundering ship off the Anchorage shoreline and discovers he can fly.Forced into hiding in Canada, Sam Skylar just wants to live his own life. But the destruction of his hometown drags Sam back to the world he hoped to escape, a world of politics and distrust, of limits and agendas. When attacks come from all sides, will even Sam's incredible powers be enough to save him, and the world?
So this is pretty much what every superhero book tries (and usually fails) to be. The characters are complex, the story is layered, the action scenes are vivid. Basically if you want a superhero book pick this one up and you really won’t be disappointed.
