What I’ve found so unusual about Linear Tactical is how Janie Crouch has found a way of getting her characters peripherally involved in huge governmental-level-type espionage incidents even if they aren’t actually neck-deep in the deep-end of things and jet-setting all over the world to prevent a nuclear meltdown. It’s romantic suspense done somewhat differently (there’s still plenty of action, deception and loose ends in the small place that they’re all based) and it’s something I’m new to.

Charlie and Finn’s second chance romance came loaded with secrets, sexual tension, and a threat no one saw coming until it was almost too late...

Charlie was a tough nut to crack. She was feisty, smart, but holy smokes extremely stubborn! She was a hot mess over Finn and vice versa, but their past history was a big roadblock that could have been prevented by simply communicating in the first place. In her defense, I felt her decision to not marry Finn years before was born out of desperation, imm

Charlie has fallen from her status as princess of Oak Creek when she was a teenager. Her family has lost its money, Charlie has been married to and divorced from a felon, and she is working three jobs to provide her ailing father with the medical care he so sorely needs. Stubborn and independent, when she returns home, she hopes to avoid the love of her life - ex-Special Forces member Finn. She just wants to take care of her responsibilities to her family without causing anyone else more pain.

I received this book as an ARC for a voluntary and honest review. I was hooked on this series with the first book Cyclone. Eagle didn't disappoint. Although part of a series the books can be read as a standalone. You get enough information about the previous characters to know whats going on, and possibly intrigue you to read their story if you haven't. These are spicy romances with a bit of suspense as well.
In this book we meet Charlotte "Charlie" Deveroux who once was an item with Linear Tact

I received this book as part of an ARC review. I liked the character of Charlotte or Charlie as she was nicknamed. She is spunky. Finn is still hurt that she married someone else despite his begging her not to. Charlie gave a false reason but still did. She willingly paid the price demanded. Several years later, Charlie was supposed to tutor Ethan, Finn's son, which he cancelled when he saw it was her. An old superior officer who saved Finn's career asks for help and Linear Tactical steps up to ...more

Wow. I really thought Cyclone, the first book in the Linear Tactical series, brought us a new facet to Janie Crouch's storytelling voice. I thought it would be hard to top. Her second offering, Eagle, surpassed all of my expectations. This one is an absolute home run! Charlie is a truly likeable character. I want to be her. Finn. Well Finn is a bit of a tough nut but he grows on you and you will soon find yourself half in love with him. The biggest selling point about this book was the character ...more

Once again, this author proves how talented she is with the latest installment of her new series, Linear Tactical. Linear Tactical is a company made up of former military men who now teaching survival skills to laymen as well as law enforcement.
This story belongs to Finn/Eagle Bollinger and Charlotte/Charlie Devereux. They were HS sweethearts. He came from a working class family, and she from a privileged one. But instead of ending together, she marries someone else and leaves him a shell of his

Eagle by Janie Crouch is the second book in the Linear Tactical series. Let me just tell you that you will not put this book down. If you don't have time to be completely engulfed wait till you do. I started this book thinking I was going to read a couple chapters and finish the rest today. Let's just say I made it to bed about 3:30 this morning.. Yep I had to finish it.

This story line absolutely pulls you in. It takes you by the reins. This second chance romance is the story everyone needs to

As much as I loved the first one in the Linear Tactical series, Cyclone, I think I liked Eagle a touch more. But I recommend reading them both although they are both stand alone stories.

I am a sucker for second chance stories so I was definitely drawn to Finn and Charlotte or Charlie’s story from the glimpses I had read in Cyclone. I adored them as a couple. Charlie had really made some mistakes but she stepped up and owned them which made me admire her. I loved how she was able to help Finn’s

No spoilers included because I really hate when people give away all the surprises that’s hidden inside the story!
So this is all I’m going to say about this book and that is I thought it was freaking amazing!
I was totally blown away by this incredible romantic thriller which I was kept on the edge of my seat and on a emotional roller coaster ride from beginning right up until the very end with unforgettable characters and a well written story that I couldn't put down or turn the pages fast enoug

Love when the book started almost at the same point where first ended.
The scene at the restaurant brought me right back to the series.
Finn is another guy from Linear,Charlie was his high school girlfriend.
Charlie and Finn story was sweet, beautiful, sexy and made my choke every other page.
Her life story was so tragic and she had to do on her own.
After meeting Finn again all past comes like avalanche. She still loves him but she knows also that he will not forgive her what she did to him,to them.

Janie Crouch

Once again Janie has created characters in Charlie and Finn that will have you rooting for them. Former sweethearts separated by circumstances find themselves thrown together in threatening circumstances. The evil is among them and they worry about being able to survive before it destroys them.
This Linear Tactical Series book brings another gripping tale of love lost, love found, and riveting suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat as it plays out with twists and turn

Awesome, action packed, romantic military suspense. I’m new to this author but I’ll be reading more of her books. The blurb is excellent and gives just the tip of what happens in the story. The author develops the characters so well that it’s hard to see what’s coming next. Charlie (Charlotte) returns to the town she left eight years ago and is quickly confronted by the man she left behind. Finn was a special forces soldier for years but when confronted with the reappearance of Charlie it throws ...more

This is the second book in the Linear series and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Another winner for Janie Crouch. She seems to have struck gold with this series of books as Eagle was as thrilling as Cyclone. I loved Finn and the love he had for his little boy Ethan was just lovely. Charlotte and Finn were high school sweethearts and a lot of bitterness was left behind. The story is brought to life at the end of Cyclone. It was action packed from start to finish and left me wanting more. The plot ...more

Absolutely amazing! I could not put this book down. Finn is so amazing. He is so quick to forgive Charlie, even before he knew all the details of her past betrayal. Charlie is an incredibly strong and independent woman. She fights for those she loves at the cost of her own happiness and well-being. These two are perfect for each other. Finn is so protective and I love how little Ethan and Charlie interact. The suspense in the book was perfect and had me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait for t ...more

I loved this book! Finn was a wonderful character and I loved how he was with his son Ethan. Charlie was also fantastic and I really felt for her. She really had a big heart and kept going no matter what life threw at her. Ethan was also a strong character and I loved him. Lots of action and plenty of steam with a plot that was fantastic. Secondary characters were also well developed and likeable. I had a hard time putting this book down to work. So much went on and it was great when other membe ...more

Eagle is the first Janie Crouch book I have had the opportunity to read, and she has blown me away! Secrets and old betrayals just keep popping up between Finn and Charlie, not to mention that they still can't keep their hands off each other after nearly a decade apart. Lots of plot twists, espionage, and just being at the wrong place at the wrong time, kept this book fast paced and very enjoyable. Now I'm going back to read the first book in the series, Cyclone, and the follow-up books as they ...more

I thought Cyclone (book 1) was good, Eagle is amazing! The characters are strong and intelligent and the action is none stop, I literally couldn't put it down. Along with the action is a great love story (and some really steamy scenes) that build a full picture that draws the reader into the lives of the characters. I can't wait for the next book. (This could be read as a stand alone but I strongly recommend check out book 1 as well (the series is just that great)).

Another good installment in the Linear Tactical series. Charlie is a strong woman trying to take care of her parents while working numerous jobs. She has returned to her hometown different than when she left. Finn is a former special forces guy who is the father of a 7 yr old boy with dyslexia. Fireworks abound when Charlie is scheduled to be Finn's son tutor. Lots of angst trying to work out their past problems.

Wow! What can I say? Janie Crouch has done it again. I loved Cyclone , but I can say Eagle is even better. Janie knows how to get the right characters together and weave their story. Charlotte and Finn are perfect together. I read this book in one sitting, because I can never put down Janie's books once I start reading one. I did get the less steamy version of the arc. And I loved it. I'm assuming that the steamy version is even better.

Omg Finn and Charlotte get a second chance and love. And Finn's little boy is so cute. This book has romance, suspence and a happy ever after. These men of Linear Tactical are so HOT and Alpha male. This is another great story. I can't wait for the next book.

I did receive a copy of this book however I choose to review it.

If you thought “Cyclone” was good wait until you read “Eagle”, it’s absolutely amazing book a brilliant read. You won’t be able to put it down. I loved Charlie’s & Finn’s story and adored Ethan. I felt Charlie’s struggles they pulled my heart strings. I loved how Finn eventually relented and allowed Charlie to help him with his dyslexia. This book has a great intricate investigation story line and I got the culprit wrong! Loved seeing all the Linear Tactical crew and can’t wait for the next ...more
