This book is about a life changing journey of a family who decided to abandon their home land in southern Iraq in search of a safe and peaceful place to live. Stepping into the unknown they trusted God to provide them with a quick solution to their request, God had other plans for them. The story is full of twists and turns often with unexpected circumstances and dangers. Well into their journey and amid frustration, hopelessness and despair, the family faced the situation where they couldn’t risk going back to Iraq, and facing firmly closed doors ahead of them. Yet God provided people and circumstances that opened an unexpected way for them, much more than they had anticipated. Their journey lasted more than 3 years, travelling thousands of miles on three continents. All the characters mentioned in this story are real but the majority of them used assumed names due to the sensitivity of the issue.
