This is a really GoodRead, I would love to give it 5Stars but the writing is too immature for my particular taste. It was honestly a struggle to finish because the writing was less than ideal or desirable. I am willing to still give more of her stories a chance because I think she is a good storyteller.

Hear Me ROAR

This was my first read by this author and it most definitely won't be my last. I was apprehensive about reading a book about shapeshifting. That's not my normal cup of tea.
This was an urban novel so although the main characters were animals I could relate to them in their human form. They talked and acted like me and my friends. I felt comfortable with them. That allowed me to suspend my reality and imagine that these beings may really exist. This was a very sexual and sensual novel. They definitely believed in mating/sexing.  The story line kept my attention and I could not put it down. If you're looking for something different and enjoyable this is the book for you.

ROAR 🦁

Yessssss Natavia yessssss, I knew that couldn't have been the end because I know it's unfinished business that needs to get handle. As far as Ryson,Lynx, Lila, and Koja older cub who ran away. I love the fact that Eze and Sy'noba were able to finally live in their truth and show their love for each other without it being hidden. You did your thing as also and just ready for the next.

ROAR came through swinging claws and fangs, and Natavia dragged me straight into a world I did not want to leave. Sy’Noba? Whew. She’s the kind of fearless queen that makes you want to straighten your crown and mind your business before she checks you. Eze? That man is a walking definition of a King- power, loyalty, and the type of love that hits deep in the chest. Together, they’re electric.

Quanir had me cracking up so bad I’m convinced he needs his own spinoff with Toyi (because let’s be honest, she’s the only one who can keep his wild behind in check). And Lynx finally stepping into her own and building her family? My heart ate that up. But listen… I need to know if Ryson ever learns the truth about where he came from, because that thread is dangling and it’s driving me crazy.

This is paranormal romance dipped in urban flavor-sabers, lions, tigers, sisterhood, messy family drama, jealousy, sacrifice, and that raw animalistic passion you secretly hope to stumble into. Natavia’s worldbuilding is so smooth you don’t just read it, you live in it for a while. It’s got closure, no annoying cliffhangers, but still leaves you low-key fiending for more.

It’s love through lifetimes, breaking generational curses, and refusing to let history repeat itself. A little magic, a lot of heat, and a cast of characters that stay in your head long after the last page. This one roared, and I roared right back.

3.5⭐️🌶️ There was a lot going on in the story, and if you weren’t paying attention, you would probably miss something. I think. Eze was a pretty good MMC with a big heart, but LYNX was going to be his downfall if he let her because she was way too much. Sy’noba had a very difficult life and deserved better, and once she found her soulmate, her life turned around. And just like any good story, all of the villains got what they deserved. I did think it was a little bit long for what was going on in the book, like it could’ve been a little bit shorter, but it still was pretty good.

Untamed!

Natavia has a way with words! She’s truly a Queen who writes about other Queens! This book captured my interest from the very first page. The storyline was unlike any story I’ve EVER read! The characters/ shifters were well developed and detailed. Sy’noba’s strength and boldness spilled out in each chapter. Her and Eze was royalty and refused to succumb to circumstances. I really like Quanir’ s personality and humor. Safari was also a favorite. I was so caught up in this book, that I was waiting to shift my damn self! Lol wow! I wish I could say more but I don’t want to spoil too much. For readers who’s skeptical about paranormal books; give this a try! It was by far one of the most captivating storylines I’ve came across in awhile. Easily, five stars

I really enjoyed this story. This was so entertaining to me....this book will make you happy, sad , mad and keep you laughing. I absolutely love the interaction between the all of these different kinds of Cats (Saber tooth tiger, lion & lynx ....I definitely curious to see will come next, the way the story ends there could be a part 2 or even a part 3...there were several characters that I would like to know what happens next to or for them. I actually enjoy Carey Hite narrating this book and Eboni Flowers did an amazing job!

Carnal Delight

Roar is a carnal bedtime read. It's thrilling, arousing, sexy and fascinating. I enjoyed the blend of multiple worlds, along with the characters who traversed back and forth between them. I look forward to reading more speculative fiction from, Natavia.

Saber Lion

I feel like this book was kind of rushed and some parts were being repeated. The errors were very annoying because it was mainly words being doubled or missing words. I wasn’t connected to these characters like I was with her previous characters. Sy’Noba and Eze story didn’t get good until they truly found out who they were. It just felt like something was missing I expected more fight scenes especially from lions. Not the best from this author but I’d still recommend it

Wow the imagery. Something about Natavia's storytelling makes you feel like you are there. I felt like I was a part of the Pride and could visualize the Y'kiki Forest. The characters will hook you, but in addition you get to explore the intricacies and differences between felines. I enjoyed the realness in depicting lions and saber-toothed tigers, we even had a glimpse of a lynx. Down to the climate changes, and the effects experienced per species, Natavia's world-building and symbolism is unmatched.

Incorporating the characteristics and natural habitat of each species took ROAR to the next level. Eze is an Alpha, and is entrusted with taking over his family's business. Sy'noba is fierce and although we meet her while she stuck in an impossible situation, it's not long before she is able to rise and come into her royal bloodline. The side characters were so rich, and each played an important role.

As always, Natavia is going to stick to her messy roots lol. There is so much jealousy, envy, and cattiness. We can feel the longing and chemistry between Eze and Sy'noba; truly destined to be with each other in every life. Anytime Eze's teeth expanded from his gums and his lips changed into the lips of his cat, and his eyes slanted into the shape of his saber's... um addicting, and this always happened at the most delicious times! I enjoyed the action scenes as well, there's no way to portray the king of the jungle without it. Quanir was hilarious. There is also, a guest appearance from one of my favorite Alpha's written by Natavia, that I enjoyed.

Sy'noba was so endearing, she really came into her own and found her inner goddess and strength! Natavia closed this story, where there could very well be a Part 2, down the line. Read it NOW!

This story was quite interesting. I had yet to read an urban shifter story, so I picked this one to start, and the fact that there were lions was a plus.

The storyline was initially confusing because of the conflict between the Sabers and Lions. Kind of like a Romeo and Juliet feel mixed with the Lion King. Despite that, the descriptions of the settings and characters were really nice. I loved the love story between Eze and Sy'noba and also loved the fact that they were destined even from the past.

The thing I wasn't too fond of was the fact that some over-descriptive things were put in the story that I felt could have been left out. However, everybody likes reading a certain way and it might amuse somebody else. I also wasn't a fan of Lynx and felt like her romance should have happened a whole lot earlier than it did. She just seemed like the clingiest woman and really could have been more of a support if she had found her guy.

In the end, this was a really interesting feel and I recommend reading.

“A mate is more than being intimate. When you give yourself to him, you and he will make an oath. You will praise his God and he will praise yours. When the Gods give you two their blessing, you will be his FOREVER.”

Selected as EyeCU Reading & Social Network’s June selection, this is my first read by Natavia and my very first Urban Paranormal. I must admit that I had my doubts going in but NEVER DID I EVER imagine Urban Paranormal would be so THRILLING, so DEEP and so CAPTIVATINGLY SEXY. With detailed imagery of love, lust, jealously, betrayal and destiny… “Roar” was like watching an ACTION PACKED URBAN LOVE STORY that transitions between multiple worlds of beastly cat shifters and human civilization. IMAGINE THAT!

BRAVO!!! Natavia DID THAT! I highly suggest you 1-CLICK NOW & read what all the hype is about!

Lions and Tigers and Bears…Oh My

This story was so good. The author Natavia did an excellent job taking me into this fantasy world where different breeds of cats shape-shift and live in two different worlds. They love intensely, they fight to the death, and some live to see another day. This story was thrilling, riveting, romantic, erotic and suspenseful. There’s beauty in the characters physicality and their innate ability to find and protec their perfect mate.

I wish I could see the world I read about because this would make a great movie someday and I would love to read more about what these characters do next.

The narration by Eboni Flowers and Cary Hite was nicely performed. They gave life to the a voice and the story life.

Another wild ride

I have come to enjoy reading paranormal romances because of Natavia. Eze was amazing. Sy'noba was such a strong woman, lioness, warrior. Her strength could not be confined within her pack. She had to break free. Eze and Sy'noba's history was so deeply rooted, so spiritually connected that they were drawn to each other. They went through so much. Lynx was trying to play a dangerous game. She was young, dumb and full of lust. She was looking for love. Watch out Ryson. Asha, smh she was lost. Quanir lol, he's hilarious. There was a lot of shifting, crazy fighting, loving and laughs. It was a great read

Phenomenal!!!

Bayybbbbeeeeeee! Natavia is my favorite urban fiction writer!! When I saw she had a new paranormal book, I immediately stopped reading the book I was reading! Started this and was hooked from beginning to end! I don’t like Lila & even though Lynx moved away.. I STILL DESPISE HER SNEAKY AHH!! Sy’Noba & Eze were so amazing! And for some reason I wanted Quanir to get with Safari LOL i think they would have hit it off because they both are free spirited and say WHATEVER comes to mind! I really hope there’s a mix of these characters and the characters from Brick.. and maybe even Beasts.. I think that would make a great tale!!

Roar!!!

I really wish I could give this story more stars. Ms. Natavia did a really great job with this book. The story flowed like she lived it and is just retelling what happened. It was detailed and I wasn't lost with all the different characters along the way.it was well written and definitely a page turner!!! I loved the way Eze and Sy'Noba found out their truths through their relationship. Even though they didn't always see eye to eye they had a peaceful love!!! I know we will probably see more of the characters but this was definitely worth the wait!!!

that Natavia, is very confident & self assured that she continues to STEP OUT of the normal Urban Stories... Thats why I 5 Starred her. The actual book, seemed a little far fetched and unbelievable with all those portals into different worlds. Its like Mars Vs Earth, is their life on other planets.. Hummm. The characters, seemed a little too much like the Beast Series (LOVED THAT). Eze really did not have a clear direction as a character Quanir was funny but lazy. Lynx she was a child cub, and just wanted Eze for all the wrong reasons, glad that Ryson checked her and got her mind kinda right. Sy'noba & Eze Reincarnation thru the life of cats... Interesting story eventhough parts were a lot confusing... Again Applause to Natavia, for all of her creative, imaginations!!!!

SY'NOBA AND EZE❤

I really enjoyed reading this book. Had my attention from beginning to end. Very well written, the details and character development were great. I loved Sy'noba and Eze story of two powerful forces from different backgrounds who find happiness with each other but not without their share of drama and those within their circle who didnt agree with their union. Quanir was funny and very straight foward. I would love to read a spinoff with him and Toyi. Kudos to Natavia on an amazing story. Highly recommend reading.

Good read

Enjoyed the different take on paranormal. The cast of characters were nice and diverse. I didn't like how stagnate Sy'Nobi was before Eze though. Instead of embracing her difference and leaving from the tribe a long time ago, it took Asha to kick her out for her to go. Glad that she finally got it together though. Eze was annoying in not realizing what everyone told him about Lynx as the truth. She was a desperate mess. Love how everything worked out in the end though.

Great Love Story!

Wow, is what I said after reading the first chapter. I also wondered, “what am I reading?” Once I started, I couldn’t stop reading Roar: An Urban Shapeshifter Novel. There are so many descriptors for this book that I don’t know how to actually account for all that that the book offers. I will just say that Roar is a well written book of paranormal, fantasy, a love story that keeps reader entertained with funny connotations throughout. My eyes have been opened to reading this genre.

Take me to the King

Natavia possesses a unique talent for drawing readers into her narratives. “Roar” delves into the timeless theme of soulmates, specifically Eze and Sy’noba, who reincarnate and search for one another in each lifetime. However, the story takes a gripping turn when buried memories resurface, leaving the characters ensnared by their pasts.

What I adored about this story is the meticulous attention to detail. Natavia weaves the narrative together with rich, immersive descriptions, making readers feel as though they’re leaping through portals alongside the characters. Of course, no Natavia story would be complete without a lovable and humorous side character, a dope addition to the tale.

“Roar” underscores the profound significance of forgiveness and love as forces that can heal. Yet, it also reminds us that some individuals remain blinded by hate, unable to grasp the redemptive power of these emotions. This novel takes readers on a thought-provoking journey through love, memories, and the enduring quest for connection.
