Growing Old is Not for the Faint of Heart.
We are the Taffy Generation, pulled into two different directions. I just binge read this book... from beginning to end... in one sitting. It is brilliant, beautiful, and so relatable. I laughed and cried and longed for more when I finished. I begin reading Geezer Stories while drinking my morning coffee, continued reading while drinking my afternoon water and finished reading it with my evening beer. It was a day well spent in great company. The author deals with the good and the bad of aging parents. I thoroughly enjoyed immersing myself into her world and walked away with a better understanding of my world.

Heartwarming, poignant, funny, tragic - every emotion you can think of evoked by the trials and tribulations of the family dynamic. Highly recommended.

Her blend of humor and candid honesty—which can be uncomfortable at times—is part of the power of the book. The chuckles are frequent and comforting ...more
