About the author

Salina Yoon is an award-winning author/illustrator of over 150 books for children, including Penguin and Pinecone, Penguin on Vacation, Penguin in Love, Penguin and Pumpkin, Penguin's Big Adventure, Found, and Stormy Night.

Her latest book, Be a Friend, was a Winter 2015-2016 Kids' Indie Next Pick. Among her other awards are a Scholastic Teachers Top 10 Picture Book for Penguin's Big Adventure, and an NPR Best Book and 2014 SCIBA Book Award for Best Picture Book for Found. (complete list is on the website ABOUT page)

She studied art and design at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and now lives in San Diego with her family.

A half-circle cutout shows part of a heart, which is hidden with other half-heart shaped objects, like a teacup handle and oblong lollypop. A novelty that's not a lift-the-flap, but gives the reader similar fun.

What a cute book! Babies and their caregivers will enjoy “Who Loves Boo?” over and over. The kitten illustration was particularly adorable.

What to say about Boo? They are a kitten looking for their heart. As you turn the pages (is this the heart? No... Is this the heart? No.....) you find different things that it could be (teacup, lollipop, etc.) At the end Yes! That is Boo's heart. It is red and pink and fuzzy. Our hide-and-seek book has turned into a touch book! (However, there is some fuzziness along the way, too). Fun illustrations, a short story and some fun with guessing makes this an active book. And while it is a Valentines themed book, it can also be an anytime read. A follow up to Where's Boo?
