Buck Wild is book one in the brand new series, Bennett Boys Ranch by Lauren Landish. Lauren is a new to me author and I chose this book because I have a huge obsession to cowboy romances and thought this would be a great way to introduce myself to this author. I think I’m going to be unpopular when I say that for me, the book was just okay. It didn’t hold my interest the way I wanted it to. And although the sexy times between these two were hot, hot, hot, I never really felt the ...more

Not only are Cowboys relatively new to me but so is Lauren Landish so I was especially happy to have discovered a new author (to me), Cowboys, and that this is the first book in the Bennett Boys Ranch series.
I do love a feisty female character and I got that with Veterinary Intern, Sophie Stone. I liked her character, strength and personality and I really liked the chemistry between her and James Bennett. Their chemist ...more

This was a sweetest little romance but also extremely steamy and believable.
I loved the characters and their dynamic. I kind of want to meet Momma Lou. She sounds amazing.
I can't wait to read more ❤
James and his brothers are hot. James comes home from the rodeo circuit after their dad dies. Sophie is in town for the summer working with the local vet before going to vet school in the fall. He's having issues about returning to the circuit and "abandoning" his family and falling in love with someone who will be leaving. She knows she has to go to school, and falling in love was never part of the plan. In the end love conquers all.
ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.
This was my first Lauren Landish book, but it won’t be my last. I really enjoyed this one, and loved watching these characters get to know each other. James and Sophie are adorable together.
Right from the start, you’re hooked on these two, as their initial meeting is quite interesting. Throw in James awesome family, the fabulous Doc that Sophie works with, and later on in the novel, her new friend Shayanne, and this is a really ni ...more
I couldn't get into this book. There were some things I liked in theory, like the brothers and their relationship with their mother, but the execution didn't work for me. But the relationship between the hero and heroine was too easy too quickly, with the frequent sex scenes thrown in willy nilly without enough genuine chemistry. I opened the book this morning to continue reading, saw how much was left, and groaned, which was a sign that I needed to simply back away.

Buck Wild, is fun, sexy and basically everything we all love in a cute romance. Perfect summer, beach read.
Little to no drama, and I really appreciated that, this is the first book from this author that I have read and I defiantly would like to read more.
Lauren Landish is a new author to me and Buck Wild was a great book to start with, particularly since it is the first book in a new series.
James Bennett is a rodeo cowboy who loves the adrenaline rush of his job. Spending time at his family ranch he feels like something, is missing, that is until he meets Sophie Stone a trainee veterinarian.
Sophie intrigues James, particularly because she is feisty and challenges him on several ...more
The Bennett Brothers became fast favorites wrapping their humorous, devoted, strong selves around my heart!
What a sensual minefield! The butterflies of emotions the storyline carried throughout, with an abundance of heart, smiles and a little drama thrown into the mix. Made James and his Bull Rider ways always chasing the rush taken on by Sophie, the Vetraniarain intern who is more than he or the rest of the Bennett family could have imagined. It's ...more
This is the first in a new series (although with links - see below). As there are three Bennett boys, we are pretty much guaranteed some more Cowboy fun - well not sure Mark understand the concept of fun, but it will be entertaining seeing him learn!
Here we find James home from the bull-riding circuit during the off season, helping out at the family ranch. It is the first year without his father alive, and the informatio ...more
The plot was simple really with little drama and no angst but it worked!! James and Sophie were adorable. I can't wait to read about Luke and Mark. Highly recommend!

City girl meets her Cowboy. A wild ride of country charm meets sassy city. Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Lauren Landish paints a down-home country love story in Buck Wild. The summer every girl dreams about, well I did, okay still kind of do shhhh.

I wasn't that much of a fan, to be honest. While it wasn't downright awful, I expected better quality from a romance novel. Written in first person POV from Sophie and James, this read like a YA novel. James(who's supposed to be a badass Alpha man) said the word "totally" way too much for me. In other words, none of the characters seemed to act or talk their age. I also felt that this novel was driven more by dialo ...more
Things this book had going for it:
~Excellent, realistic, witty dialogue - James and Sophie were funny together
~Fun banter between the brothers - there’s nothing better than watching brothers give each other crap
~Open communication between the hero and heroine - there was no being coy or hiding feelings, and once they figured out how they felt they, told each other...hooray!
~A hero who wasn’t stu ...more

I tried my best to like this book, I really did, but it just didn't work with me. To sum it up: I just didn't buy everything that this book was selling. But before I get into that, let me start off with the good points!

Country Boy meets City Girl and you have a funny, sweet and hot romance. James and Sophie first met, and it was not a great first introduction. Sophie is working with a vet for the summer and when she meets James on his family’s farm they do not start off on the right foot. When James apologizes to Sophie for his behavior they call a truce and start friendship filled with some playful flirting. When they flirting starts taking a more heated exchange they ...more

It's summer and James is back on the family ranch taking a break from the rodeo life he's led for the last eight years. James lives for the rush of the rodeo. He's cocky and awesome at riding bulls and he's got the ego to prove it.
One morning James comes across Sophie in his barn. Sophie is studying to be a large animal vet and has accompanied Doc Jones to James's family ranch; one of the horses is having difficulty birthing.

Sophie is the younger sister of Jake. Jake who we met as the main character from Heartstopper- Irresistible Bachelor 3. OMW I absolutely loved this book, this author just keeps on giving us great stories. Something else I love about this author is that she has made the last few books all intertwined with each other in some way, and this story is no different. The book was interesting, captivating, and all round sweet and enjoyable. I loved James and Sophie, they were likable characters who were well suited and the chemistry between them was sizzling hot.
